      i noticed the link you gave and it seems all the different combos to the VN warehouse say pre order, but if you click on the US warehouse it seems everything says back order do you know if that means everything that was on pre order for the US has already been spoken for? Any clue when units will start shipping? Thanks for any info you know.

      @@epoweredrc Yes everything is at the Vietnam warehouse as of now. Orders should start arriving to the US this week or next. If you place an order you should get it within a week or so. Don’t quote me on that because I don’t not 100% positive on that date but they are shipping and should be here anytime.

    I like how that sounds ,my laptop was out at my mother's farm and I haven't been out there but I went out last night and watched the video on it ,, there's always a list of stuff to do out there but got a little time I use to farm out there and had no time to fly or do stuff ,,but we long sense rent the thing out to have some sort of life to do things ,,got tired of being broke and got me a job at a landfill running equipment ,,when I flew drones I'd go to the top of the landfill and fly,, I want to get a 450 500 size to come to the fill and fly, you can go pretty far out at the top of the landfill

      I love the three bladed head! It does give you shorter flight times but man it looks sounds and flies so good!! Yeah man this hobby gets expensive! Lol I need a second job just to pay for this crap! A Trex 470 is a great heli to get! 470LP is a great price and great heli!

      Thanks buddy! Take your time and practice practice practice! You will be just as good of not better! It takes a lot of time and flying a lot. If you can’t get out to the field get yourself a simulator and try to get at least 30 minutes a day in!

      Simulator is a must if you want to push yourself and continue to advanced. The number one thing is go outside your boundaries and your comfort level. You will never get better as a pilot if you continuously do the same thing every day. So if you are good at circuits figure8 flying now try it backwards. Do a lot of tail in flying learn your circuits forward and backwards learn them upside down take your time and learn the basics it can be very boring! But it will make you a better pilot. Everybody rushes into 3-D because that’s what everybody wants to do! But if you take your time you learn the basics learn all your circuits forward backwards figure eights left right inverted Forward backwards left right you will become a much better pilot quicker

      Happy holidays to you and your family as well. Enjoy your vacation! As far as simulators go all of them are good. You can go with real flight and or Accu RC the pending on your preference. The more you practice the better you will be. Looking forward to some future videos!

    I'm pretty new to the hobby, so could you teach me what's the different in characteristics, pros and cos when moving from 2 bladed head to 3 bladed head?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому +3

      The only con so far is shorter flight time. But I am working on that with different size blades to try to accommodate the best of both worlds. I would like to keep the same three minute hard 3-D flights and five minutes scale flying. Now the differences? So with a two bladed head it is simpler and flies just fine. But when you add the third blade you get a lot more collective pop and feel as you have another blade moving air. Another reasoning would be if you are doing a scale build then you have that scale head look. I’m personally a huge three bladed fan I like three blades on helicopters I like the way they fly I like the cyclic response and feel to them so to me it’s a huge advantage. If you are just a normal sport fly or are you going to see a difference? Not really. Will you notice the helicopter feel lighter in the air yes but just for flying around it’s really a user preference.

    I'm working on a script for a "So you wanna learn to fly RC helicopters..." video. Would you have any interest in reviewing/contributing in any way? I am especially interested in anything you actually disagree with. I think a lot of beginners screw themselves trying to primarily learn with micros. I want to push the idea of fly only a sim until they can do x,y,z confidently. Then start outside with something a little bigger. It will more be about strategy to learn, than any actual skill. More of a 50,000 foot view.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

      I would be honored to help with that. I push simulators a lot. I personally think the M2 is honestly the ultimate beginner helicopter because of what it can do and grow with you. But I do like bigger helicopters of course and what I personally always tell everybody is by the biggest you can afford to crash. Because we all know crashes happen and a lot of people get discouraged because they go out and buy a 500 600 size helicopter and when they get their first crash and it cost them a few hundred dollars they do that a few times and now they don’t want to fight helicopters anymore. I think the M2 is perfect because it Is cheap to crash has auto level and a rescue feature to help with pushing yourself outside the boundaries and gives people the confidence that they need. I don’t like auto level at all but I think if you use it the proper way it can be beneficial.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 Also, a big part I want to present is realistic cost.
      Also, is it better to buy a decent transmitter first? Or waste your money on a couple throw aways that come with thing?
      Stuff like that.
      I strongly believe a huge amount of money can be saved with prudent use of the simulator if budget is a big constraint.
      Also, what is their actual end goal? What they hope to do and fly someday matters. Do they really want to learn and commit to the hobby? Or are they dicking around?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  2 роки тому

      0 100% believe he simulator is a must to any helicopter pilot. Regardless if you are starting out or been flying for 20+ years like me. There’s those days that you can’t fly or it gets dark early now get home from work try to get 30 minutes a day is my goal. as far as transmitter goes when I personally tell everybody is buy the biggest radio you can afford. I get the question a lot, why do I need a 9,10 or 12 channel radio? All the simple answer is you grow with it. You don’t need it! But in the future if you decide you want to do scale builds and you want to do re-tracks and lights and all that good stuff you have a transmitter that will do it and you only have to buy it one time. In goal is very important! If somebody just wants to be a weekend flyer or maybe not going to stay strong into the hobby don’t need to buy such an expensive gear or equipment but can get away with some of the cheaper stuff. All very good points to touch on!
