I like how majority of the reasoning here is just how easy it is to put the plant in ones mouth. Like I’m pretty sure there was a couple poisonous plants in higher tiers.

Very resourceful and must be quite smart since hes the only zombie who has been confirmed to have a previously eaten brain according to the almanac. must be rather social too if he has someone's door. He must also be very polite since he holds the door for you. Unfortunately looks rather bland. Great culinary taste though, truly appreciates his meals unlike the former gargantuar, who smashes potential food instead of eating it. Would date, great zombie, super charming.

Quick objection: eating an endurian would not be easy. Real durians do actually require tools to eat (from my research), so eating a giant, sentient durian that could hurt you would be very difficult using your bare hands.

I like how you actually acknowledged the later PVZ games (Barring Heroes) and the Chinese version of PVZ 2 in this ranking. It feels like when most people do a PVZ video they only really talk about the first game and either the international version of PVZ 2 or one of the shooter games (Usually Garden Warfare 2).

A lot of the plants' projectiles are edible, so you don't really have to eat the plants, just get the plants to make the stuff.

I would actually assume that the plants won't value their life, as they are completely loyal to humans, considering how it's their job to protect them at all costs (the plants don't run away when they're being eaten, they just kinda stay still and fight, meaning that they're not afraid of death and will fight to the death to protect humans.) As such, if that fighting includes being sacrificed to be eaten by a human to provide them nutrients, so be it.

I think most of the projectiles From the peashooter Cabbage pult and melon pult Would be more than enough to provide Enough nutrition to survive. Also outside of being a cute plant I think it would hurt like fire trying to Eat the cattail. Overall I don’t think I want to eat a talking plant.

Fume shroom's pvz1 entry mentions he had a job making yeast spores at a bakery. Which means that's the kinda spore he makes. No idea about puff, that could be totally different!
Also I would argue hypnoshroom would be totally inedible due to the fact that it's ability is literally activated WHEN YOU EAT IT. Caulipower actually could go in the green zone tbh, eating it is fine, it takes a bit to charge up so you just have to rush it I guess

Twin Sunflower.
Torchwood.
wood isn't edible, and twin Sunflower won't kill you (and his justification for why it would is not supported in game as zombies eat them and they're not set ablazed)
