I really enjoyed your review of the Koleos and me too, I cannot bare the Renault CVT''s. They also have a very bad reliablilty issue. After several years they often need a very expensive repair.
@@Pit-Stop in 2 years i will buy a new SUV. I really like the Koleos but i dont know if i can get past their horrible cvt transmission. The 3008 was a great car too but they have become too common. I see 20 of them in every street. The cx5 is great but a bit small maybe. Not an easy choice to make.
I would say absolutely the CX-5, which is fantastic for an SUV. But if it's too small, have you looked at the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace? Or the Seat Tarraco? Maybe the Škoda Kodiaq?
@@Pit-Stop Waw, thanks for your time and advice. The Tiguan allspace and Kodiaq suffer from a very dull and ugly dashboard and centre console; They are stuck in 2010. I prefer the CX5 and if it is a bit smaller, i don't mind; I prefer style and courage in the interior and give up a little space. I really love a lot the Sanyyong rexton but the engine size is too big. The taxes on that car is killing it for me. 6 000 euro of taxes to put it on the road and every years 1300 euro of taxes. Our government is going mad. I think I will keep my old Kia SOrento (2010) for 2 more years and then buy a cx5 from 2018. That would be the wisest choice. Leaves me to think about what engine to choose. Keep up the great videos and reviews. I saw you speak in Polish. I like the Polish people. They are very calm and down to earth. By the way, you are the best reviewer on your channel. Don't tell your collegues :)
Funny thing, if car weighs 1900kg and man has 100 kg (but he has less for sure) then this is not 3 tons... ;-) Never the less, I love Pitstop. keep up the good work!!
Hi, You forgot to mention the model is a Renault INITIALE. This model is not available in the UK. We get the same engine, but less interior styling at £3000 more to get less. We only get 2 colours of leather, old headrests, cheap bluetooth that never works and for some reasonn the interior inserts are all brown..why?. It looks like Renault are dumping its least selling parts on us Brits. The Koleos is now way behind on the latest technologies provided by other car manufacturers..innovate or die!
I hope the next gen model gets paddle shifters. This should bode well with Diesel + CVT combination :)

Where did you get the weight from? The 2018 fully kitted 4x4 top model 2.0L diesel is 1743kg
The fastest Renault M9R Diesel engine available mated with Nissan Xtronic CVT = neat combo imho =)

Interesting... But I did mention this is the top-of-the-line, which means Initiale Paris equipment level.
Outside looks great but the info system looks cheap and awkward (I think anyway)
