Yeah! i wanted a rough time playing this for some reason as a hardcore player... once i unlock spin, i unlock it fully... Didn't use any other wpns. and Health I didn't touch the health boost increase... threw abilities points... If you very low health pool you can oddly 'Health-Gate' in this game... Only takes a couple of of pips to fully heal yourself... Bigger health requires more pips but less health per pip.

@@phant0mdummy it definitely rides a little on the weird side! It ran fairly well on my GTX 1080, but way better on the 3070ti I picked up a couple of years ago.. pretty impressive!
I would absolutely love a medieval or Renaisance era take on Control. Service weapon would be a melee weapon instead (says as much when you get it). It could take place in a Castle or Temple or similar ancient structure. I feel like the options for a long running series are limitless. I love being surprised by games. Especially such eccentric ones like this.
That sounds like a great idea! I wonder how the Warhammer Vermintide games would stack up for this? I've been meaning to get to one I have in my library, but time is limited.
This game really did surprise me too, I thought it looked cool before, but I was blown away with it once I got my hands on it.
I LOVE her telekinetic powers!! They are on FIRE!
The powers really make the game, don't get me wrong I think the story is great but being able to float mid-air while chucking forklifts at the hiss infected is pretty awesome!
Spin is absolutely useful when using the right mods! There are a lot of mods which increase the headshot damage by a huge amount!
I'll admit, I may have given up on it a little prematurely.

It's a beautiful game, very well made, and most importantly it's quite challenging. Not like other games where you just mash the buttons and you clear an enemy. In this game you really have to strategize your way out of a fight.
It really is a good looking game!! I like that there's strategy involved too! Each boss requires a unique method of attack and counter-measure to defend against. For me to keep on playing long after I've finished my videos says something! Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!!
Ye just started playing for a few hours and have already died a lot I thought I just sucked usually dont for this much in games like this.
@@mycelium1456 Yeah, I'm getting beat up hard before getting the first ability. Maybe I just suck at this type of game, I'm used to cover shooting from mass effect

Defeating Salvatore can be a bit tough. I found that using evade to move from side to side of the room to stay in cover made a huge difference. I also used Pierce to drop his health in large chunks at a time. Shield can be useful as well, but staying out of sight is much better. If you have time, use seize to take over an enemy as well to ease the burden and take some focus away from you.
The short version: Use Pierce, move to cover. Repeat.

@@Sp8ceNinja43 Mainly skipping past so much side missions and not getting ability points (the janitors missions are amazing for points) Spending the ability points wrongly, using the wrong weapons for the wrong times, etc

Spin is actually really good if you use it in combo with powers. Use spin to slow an enemy down, and then use launch to take them down. It also decrease the times you have to pull the trigger, and helps you get a hit in with less aiming.
I think that's how the service weapon was really meant to be used, in combination with powers. What I found though, with spin in particular, was that it's damage output was pretty low and accuracy not high enough for my liking. I tend to like to place my shots (headshots etc), and it just wasn't possible with that particular form. They all have their time and place though!! You can get a mod called “Eternal Fire” by throwing 6 (I think) TVs displaying fires into the furnace, it’s an “Absolute” rank mod and give 100% ammo refund chance

Control points regenerate your health (incase you sustained heavy damaged) by simply accessing it.

Also, when selecting launch objects, you can select objects that are behind enemy lines, and as they hover towards you, they can inflict damage to your enemies if they stand in the path.

Thanks for the tips. Anybody have any suggestions on how to make the game less gray hazy, I have a rtx 3080 and using the Gforce color filters....messed around with tons of settings, turned on and off ray tracing and dlss......I've made it look much better but still can seem to lose that odd grayness. Maybe that's normal.

You'll have to complete the corresponding sections of the game to unlock abilities. Or are you just unable to actually use them properly?
What is your take on the Surge form?
I found it good, as long as you could anticipate where the enemy might be. It was much like charge, but a different flavour.

How do the extra abilities become available?
They'll unlock as you progress through the game. Each objective, or important thing completed will unlock a new ability!

Can't take seriously someone that rejected Spin. That's the most useful all-around form.
Most of us get by fine without it.. I do feel like it may have been patched or buffed since I played though.

What’s with all this Spin hate? One of my favorite weapons. Quick 1-2 sec bursts = dead MFs.
Maybe it's been rebalanced. I know it didn't do it for me when I was playing. That's the beauty of the service weapon though!
Tips and tricks? Nah, the title should be “Beginner’s guide with spoilers” because it’s everything you learn in the first two hours along with the full arsenal you unlock over time without any helpful tips. You didn’t even mention that the levitate slam consumes your entire energy bar.
It's helped alot of people get into the game, but we're all allowed to have an opinion. Thanks for watching.

It's got a fair bit of praise, I dunno. That's the great thing about opinions and tastes. Everyone is entitled to their own.
i don't know why everyone shits on the spin service weapon...when you fully upgrade it and choose the correct mods it's pretty damn good bro... either they don't know how to use it or haven't fully upgraded it and used the correct mods...I've got all LVL 5 mods 1 is a 89% extra damage for killing in succession (which is a banger because anyone who plays this game knows very rarely is there 1 enemy there are TONS), 70% or something headshot multiplier and finally 89% extra damage to armored enemies...it murders bro...the best damage output by far is the pierce especially when it's fully upgraded but obviously you have to wait before you can fire it so it's perfect to match with the spin...
Yeah, I likely jumped the gun on this one a bit. It may have been rebalanced since this review as well though, I'm not sure. Thanks for watching and leaving all of the helpful hints in any case!!
