2:06 YOU CAN SEIZE THE HEALING ORBS?!?!?! I have sunk a lot of time into this game and I never even thought to try that! Im going back to the hellish jukebox levels immediately
Game looks weird... In a good way I mean. The physics and floating mechanics look neat.
Well, you can either duck behind cover, or throw the cover at your enemies! That's innovation in my book.
Plus, I love sci-fi. Good science fiction, horror as well, can cause you to look at normal life from a different perspective, and learn about yourself even.
Anyways, these gameplay mechanics look fun as hell!
@@danieljohn9257 I absolutely agree. I'm always looking for new and unique experiences to immerse myself in and just learn about the in game world. I hope this game has a lot of hidden lore and secrets. So far, it looks rather promising.
@@loplayz6501 ooh yeah. I could see us getting into this one the way people get into MGS games and Dark Souls games. I've probably watched about 20 lore-related Bloodborne videos. And there were tons more.
@@danieljohn9257 Me too! I must have seen all of VaatiVidya's Bloodborne and Dark Souls lore videos three times over! Those games are just so rich and deep with mystery. I especially like the cosmic horror-esque themes in Bloodborne. To this day, nothing in gaming quite comes close to topping Bloodborne's Lovecraftian atmosphere for me. It is all just so weird and cool!
Actually floating mechanics suck
*Department of the Abnormal, Dangerous, and Spoopy*
DADS
This looks like a shitload of fun!
We're not just hiding behind cover the whole time, that's for sure, considering you can throw the cover at your enemies!
Hooray for innovation!
Looks interesting....and NOT multiplayer, which is always nice! Will need to see more in future, but i'm definitely curious now. Thank you Johnny. :)
Agree.
You know what I bet would turn out pretty cool, though?
Fortnite's combat and building mechanics in a single player story-based open world type game. The potential could be huge from the developer of Borderlands, GTA, Fallout, Fallout New Vegas, Uncharted, etc. (I know the devs' names, I'm just mentioning certain games and then seeing where the imagination takes it from there.)
Just imagine one of them making a huge campaign or story with that, along with building onto the existing mechanics as well. It could be a sprawling, vertigo-inducing VR game based around verticality.
Control looks beautifully innovative though, in many good ways. And we've only seen a small portion of basic enemy fighting so far.
Remedy has the potential to make a real grade A game here.
Why didn’t she just float up that elevator shaft?
maybe you can't go that high when you flout
@@jerizonjnf6495 Theres a limit to how high one can float
@@gourivemula5905 Thus many times when you go and float you fins yourself in an awkward situation that u can only fall to death... silly mechanics
It looks good, really stylish. Then I'll play it and bump into everything, out-sausage Ian with my aim, and fling desks straight into the ceiling...
Looks like the offspring of infamous and quantum break
RIGHT. such a huge infamous looking feel
It also has some influence from the SCP Foundation wiki.
I love Alan Wake, flawed as it is, and I liked Quantum Break. Excited to learn more about this game! Thanks, Johnny!
I just started Control a few days ago and have never seen a game like this one before!
Reminds me of psyops for ps2.
Same here.
This looks pretty dope. I'm getting some upgraded Second Sight vibes from the gameplay.
Love the game but if the programmers wanted to illustrate “systemic” prejudices they failed miserably because I found ZERO prejudiced conversations. In fact, it seemed to me, that all the NPC’s were simply grateful to have someone who stepped up - almost as if people were used to living in a weird world that has no place for prejudices.
Yeah I noticed that. Im like what game are you playing chiodini?
@@mshaman86 It was made in the gamergate days, that's why 75% of the npc characters are girls, you can see it has something under the surface, but its not forcing some narrative or message down your throat...
Awesome game...👍
Great game, not got too far into it yet but confused how everyone in the building knows jesse is the director when no one should know the original one is dead anyway
#1 It's a great movie. R.I.P. Ian Curtis and Joy Division.
Also interested in the game though.
I love you Johnny. Super glad every time I hear your voice. Have a good day.
ive been wanting to play control for over basically since the day of its release on epic games, thanfully so i bought the game like a year ago and just finished the campaign in 3 days although, it did cost me my piano lessons since the premise and atmosphere, writing of this game was phenomenal.
I know I’m definitely playing this next week. It’s exactly what I want.
This definitely looks interesting, I can hardly wait.
@Nathan Miller Do u bieleave in super natural objects which assasign you tests to see you are worthy of them??
QUANTUM TRISS!
BRILLLLIAAAAAANT!
I hated the fact that even on Easy mode you have to be constantly moving during combat. Sometimes, I like to take my time in a game and lay traps, set bombs and snipe at enemies.
It's sad that this game is already sub $40 at some retailers less than a week of release. That means it's not selling well and a lot of gamers are missing out on this. Mark my words, in 10 years when we're looking back at hidden gems of this generation, this game will be on that list and it will sell for a shit load.
Wait.... Wait... Wait... Wait.
That intro footage, it shows a shield above your health? How did you get that?? Is that from obtaining an outfit, or from upgrading an ability...??
that's energy bar
@@chinsaka5346
Yeah i just realized that after re-watching the video
Really hope that this game is a success, because it seems like a great universe for sequels.
Hmm.. Has potential, certainly. I'll keep an eye on this one, but it doesn't look mindblowing so far. Plenty of dev time left though.
This looks nice!
Good game until chapter 6 where the difficulty goes up by about 200 percent. The game turned into dark souls quick
I am saving up for a gaming PC so i can't tell if i should keep saving up or pre order this.
Obviously a PC
I'm intrigued, because I've always liked the story concept of a government department of the supernatural. Unfortunately for me, all media that handles this idea that I've seen in the past either isn't lighthearted about it or still upholds capitalism with it (or both). I hope Control is different in that respect, but I suspect it won't be.
Have you tried Warehouse 13? It is a TV series with a similar premise and is quite humourous and lighthearted. The series has been cancelled but still has six seasons.
Here you have gameplay where you can fly at a point you can't actually fly in the story at the point shown here yet.
This game is great‼️
This looks fucking weird and I am into it. Combat looks a wee bit repetitive but hoping the story will pull me through.
quantum break was awesome
Resogun meets X-Files
Too bad it's going to be an Epic Games exclusive on PC, it looks really interesting.
Only 3rd person? No 1st person option?
Is there a recharge on her flight or can you fly forever?
I don't know, but I doubt it lasts forever. If it was limited, that'd be an avenue for upgrading further through the game.
@@nightcatarts limited AND upgradable , no limit to slow down from falling tho
very useful in fridge duty mission and a score of other things :DDD
So she is psychic... That means she can stops the bullets from reaching her and send them back to the bad guys. She can fly too...
So she could just crush the whole building from the outside and kill everybody. Maybe she forgot!
It's bigger on the inside and shifts around endlessly. I doubt the external building has any effect on the inside.
@@xkalomn2068 Good point. Yeah, there's certainly limits to her power. Just like the enemies have limits to theirs, just like any sentient being.
She's throwing tables and chairs, not buildings.
I predict a solid B+ or A game right here. Looks like a lot of fun!
@@danieljohn9257 btw remember it is the board wh gave her these abilities through objects of power , that WONT give here the permission to throw the oldest house ?(place of power??) around like a fluffy shifting teddy bear lol
Milk
Wait, this video isn't about milk...🥛🤔
Lindsay Langdon I thought it was going to be about milk also
@@linglinglikemylongting5334 Gasp! Did Johnny lie to us? Tsk, tsk....Johnny Chiodini more like Johnny Lie-odini.
Why am I like this...
Lindsay Langdon Hey tricking people about milk is a low blow and should be punished
Soo hyped for this game!
Siiiiiiiccck
Can I buy a disc copy of control
dont thinks so?? but its better to buy it online so that it stays safe in yer grande account :D
I'm intrigued... but I just want a proper sequel to Max Payne 2.
You got to ask Rockstar for that, they own the ip now. Remedy sold the IP so they can fund the making of their own game engine Northlight.
Trying to get by in a hostile environment with significant prejudices? How unrealistic!
*fake laugh turns to sobbing*
👍🏿
It looks and sounds like everything I like want in a game. But Remedy have yet to make a game I enjoy, so . . .
What about alan wake?
watch at 1.25 speed - this man's lovely slow voice will send you to sleep otherwise ;)
"Its a mans world" yet all of the top people are women in the game
Yeah I didn't buy his point here. Don't want to spoil it but that didn't seem like the point of the story at all to me.
milk
SPERM
I already know that I'm gonna skip all the cutscenes
Why? You don’t care about stories in games?
@@peterunwin4408 it seems like a very generic feminist story, so no
@@nudl3Zz "shoot, shoot. kill, kill. oh no, female perspective in a video game! SKIP SKIP!"
@@niconico4138 It's 100% generic, a game story based around a single trope usually isn't good, regardless of the trope.
this games map is the only flop
looks like spiritual successor to quantum break which was a bit boring imo 😕
Not this pc garbage.... of men bringing women down lol stop with this garbage. I honestly really liked this game now I’m not sure
??????????????????/
I Hate Epic Game Store
??
