my favorite perfume is crystal noir by versace!! it’s also a very musky, warm, creamy, spicy scent with a slight hint of vanilla. it can be a little heavy so usually i just do one spray and i’m good!! i definitely recommend since you seem to like those sort of notes in a perfume :-)
My favorite fragrance is one that I’m almost embarrassed to admit because it’s been around forever and you can buy it at the friggin drugstore. Bonne Bell Skin Musk oil. There, I said it. I love it, when I wear it I just feel good and that’s what it’s all about, right? Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs used to sell two of my favorite scents but they discontinued both of them, but if anyone out there wants a fun indie brand where you can buy packs of samples you should check them out.
ma'am you have elevated my makeup vibe and now perfume. I just bought the rollerball of the glossier scent and I pair it with a rose oil to tailor it to my tastes and I get so many compliments! thank you thank you
I’m also very sensitive to scents. Many perfumes leave me feeling nauseated, even if I’m just smelling them on other people! I’ve had a lot of luck with scents from Heretic - there a “clean” brand and they make very subtle and interesting scents. My favorite is Dirty Rose. It has that beautiful pink pepper top note! It’s my perfect “my scent but better” perfume :) thanks for another amazing video Amanda!
Glossier You, and By the Fireplace are also my top two, but (weirdly), I’ve also got a soft spot for Le Labo’s Rose 31, and Jo Malone’s Velvet Rose & Oud (although I normally hate rose-based fragrances), and also Jo Malone’s BlackBerry and Bay, which reminds me of Summery picnics.
Pink pepper is actually more similar to rose than black pepper. Also, if you like By the Fireplace you should try out Velvet by Commodity :) actually I think so many fragrances by commodity are great, I highly recommend getting their fragrance sampler. There are many in there that I wouldn’t think I would enjoy but they smelled so good! The fragrance Orris reminds me a lot of Glossier You. It’s lovely! My favorite fragrance right now is Maison Louis Marie Bois de Balincourt. It’s a very fresh sort of clean smelling sandalwood and cedar fragrance. It reminds me of a spa. Commodity Book is actually very similar.
You’re beautiful! I found my ultimate Perfume because my son loves it and I decided to stick to it so he will always remember me by this Perfume. And it’s a headache making sweet c’est la vie by Lancôme but I love it too! I am not very sophisticated in perfumes lol
I love oriental and spicy scents. Favourites of mine are Calvin Klein Obsession for night and Hermes Elixir Des Merveilles for daytime. I recently decided to try something more clean and fresh but I really enjoy heavy perfumes so I bought the now discontinued Marc Jacobs Rain which smells like an electrical storm, really heavy yet fresh. It’s an interesting smell. I’ve just ordered a sample of Glossier You and I’m giving Molinard Nirmala a try as I was told it smells like a more mature version of Angel, which I loved as a teenager.
My ultimate favorite is Jo Malone red roses! A lovely light floral. I love how Maison Margiela does theirs with replicating memories (and their aesthetic), that’s what drew me to whispers in the library! To me it’s a light, warm, slightly peppery vanilla and it became an instant favorite. I want to try under the lemon trees next! I was so disappointed that by the fireplace didn’t work for me; it smelled great on the tester, but on me it smelled like straight charred wood. No clove, no vanilla, nothing! :( Body chemistry is weird. I’m glad to hear glossier you is similar to whispers in the library, I’ll have to get a sample next time I make an order!
I am a perfume FIEND, I have over 15 different bottles and can't bring myself to stop buying more 😭😭 If you enjoy Glossier You, you might like Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, my absolute favorite! I also got a sample of their Poppy and Barley and really have liked that lately, along with some other faves - Red Roses, YSL Black Opium, Prada Les Infusions d'Iris, and Replica Beach Walk, honestly even only for the gorgeous Margiela bottles. 😍
@@AmandaZ I find it more fresh and clean, yet more warm than woodsy per se, it has the same ambrette note that You has without being as green and I think that's why I like it so much! 😊
I've been into perfume since I was a teenager, now I'm more minimalist and this are my favorites: For non perfumes perfumes: Glossier You, Molecule 01 from Excentric molecules, and Jo Malone sea salt & sage. As for perfumes perfumes: D&G Light blue and Chanel Chance eau Fraiche. I'm in love with this types of non perfumes perfumes, as you said it smells particular on everyone, and for me it smells like a person, a very nice smelling person 🤣. So people don't compliment my perfume, but my "own" scent (I'm writing this exactly when you were saying it 😆). Next I want to try the Juliette has a gun Not a perfume, and Santal 33 from le Labo. I think you would like Molecule 01, it's so weird, a lot of people are anosmic to it, so they don't have the receptors to smell that molecule. On me it smells like a tough cool person with a hint of wood, pepper and musk (omg this description), on my mom (she loves it too) smells sweet and patchuli. It's an enhancer actually but I use it alone too, not too strong if you use it alone, it's subtle, and sometimes you stop smelling it. Btw, I like the lighting of this videos ✨
Thank you Andrea!!! wow this is in depth and really helpful.. I really want to try the molecule 01! Where do you get it? & Thank you I'm trying out some studio videos to add into the mix!!
@@AmandaZ As you know, I live in Perú, so I contact a perfumist house here that imports everything from everywhere. I don't know why in the official website (from UK), US isn't available now. In the US I saw it on bloomingdale's, but it's out of stock, also on Luckyscent web and Amazon (buuut I don't trust amazon too much, sometimes the perfumes they sell there are cuonterfeit) .
@@AmandaZ I was so intrigued about the replica perfumes, I just ordered the memory box (sampler), they all sound so interesting to decide which one to like from the description!
I have Juliette has a gun not a perfume and I LOVE it... It's exactly as you described where it just makes me smell good, not like I have a good smelling perfume on. I know if has mixed reviews on longevity but on me it's still present after a 12+ hr work day! I bought it off of fragrancenet.com for a discount too :)
@@GraceMuncey I'm waiting for my sample to arrive! so I can finally try it. Definitely the longevity is subjective, each body chemestry is different, and also they smell different on everyone after a while. I love this wave of "not perfumes perfumes", for me is the best way to be smelled 😅 that sounded weird.
Glossier You makes my eye's roll back. It smells so good, I'm mad at them for discontinuing the solid version though, I love both but the solid smelled creamier. Love the whole idea behind it and how they marketed it. By The Fireplace is another favorite too. I wear Glossier You and Mugler Alien the most, and I also wear lots of different indie perfumes. Especially atmospheric indie scents. They are a lot of fun to sample. If Whispers in the library smells similar to You then I've gotta check that out. I like all the notes in it so.
Omg! For some weird reason, I was abt to comment on your last video that I wanted too see your favorite perfumes but got distracted and forgot to post! And now this!!! :) it’s like you read my mind haha! :)
I was quick to click this since the thumbnail had one of my all time favorite perfumes in it! Jasmine and gardenia kill me. I hate anything floral. I am only a minute in and excited to see what’s on ur list
I’m wearing Whispers In The Library right now! I am deciding if I truly like it or not. It’s smells like leather, and paper, and like the part of an envelope you lick lol. I do really enjoy it, but think it may be giving me a little headache. I definitely like Replicas By The Fireplace more. My favorite perfume of all time is Victoria’s Secret Secret 88. I have to buy it off eBay and posh mark SUPER quick when they show up because it’s rare to come by. I have stocked up lol. Tom Fords Tobacco Vanille is amazing, but I just can’t spend money like that. Every time I go to a Tom Ford counter I take a bath in it. Or any of his Vanille perfumes for that matter
@@shamelesssheamis545 Yes! Whispers in the library definitely has a papery scent to it. I don't think I've smelt anything from Tom Ford!! I'll have to check it out.
@@shamelesssheamis545 Tobacco Vanille is so good. Not in my price range tho lol if I were you I'd look into Indie perfume houses, a lot of them make similar to Tobacco Vanille or dupes of it for wayyyy cheaper.
My ultimate combo is Boss Alive and Valentino Valentina Blush. The key with mixing scents is less is more and the base notes should be the same family. For me it’s warm, woodsy and little sweet…like a warm hug whilst eating s’mores and drinking spiced hot chocolate in-front of your fireplace. I gravitate to comforting scents.
I’ve been using a sample of the Whispers in the Library, and you really hit the nail on the head with the description! Glad to have that comparison to the Glossier too :)
I really love the indie brand Sixteen92, they're high quality but far more affordable than other niche brands. Paper Moon and The Primrose Path are my favorites! Paper Moon is one that consistently gets compliments whenever I wear it, it's peachy but on my skin not necessarily fruity.
I would suggest trying Clean Reserve, specifically Radiant Nectar and Skin. They’re very delicate, not heavy. They sit close to the skin and don’t really project too far.
Yay! I got on YT just in time! ☺️ thanks for making this because it gives me something to check out next time I’m out. Been using the same perfume for like 4 years now and I would just like something new.
Wow we really have similar scent tastes 😊 I love By the Fireplace! (And after your glossier video when I did my purchase I got a sample of their scent and it’s on my list to buy when I get Through a scent in my stash). I’d have to say my all time favorite scent is Tokyomilk Dark Tainted Love. I also love Commodity Book, and Bois. Book is similar to the Replica Library scent, but maybe more crisp paper scent...too bad you can’t find those anymore!
My holy grail is replica Jazz Club! It’s technically a cologne but it’s more unisex than anything. I also love glossier you, and Chance by Chanel. I think I’ve gotten the most compliments on chance!
Amanda Z it’s super long lasting and you only need one spritz (not overpowering). It’s definitely a musky, floral, yet woodsy scent with a hint of patchouli...such an elegant fragrance. I call it my “It Girl” perfume! Lots of “you smell AMAZING” compliments when I wear it.
I got the glossier perfume after hearing you talking about it and getting a sample tester of it. Tbh I love it lol it’s like you said, it smells like a fresh you but better and that’s what I love about it. All my friends really like it and how unique it is. Thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you for the video! I have a super-sensitive nose and I get the worst headaches. I've always wanted to start using perfume but I can't seem to find one that doesn't make me nauseous. I really like the scent of clean laundry so Ill try Glossier You out (crossing my fingers that'll ill love it).
I usually don’t like powdery warm perfume but when I received glossier you sample last week (along with my purchase), I looove it. I’m going to buy it for my birthday.
The funny thing is...I have two of the three of these scents. I just purchased In the Library and already have By the Fireplace. I think we have the same taste in scents. I get really bad headaches, too, and just purchased In the Library. I was just checking out to see if anyone else thought it was good for things like headaches since I had to purchase blindly as we are in lockdown in Ontario were I live.
You know, I tried the Glossier "You" and I unfortunately dont like it 😭... Its a strange phenomenon but on me it smells like candy.. Like a cheap Britney Spears perfume or something. Soooo soo bizare!
I wish they sold Replica and Atelier Cologne in my country, always heard so many things about those, always wanted to try. Carolina Herrera's CH was my favourite for years, went through a brief VIP phase then I fell completely in love for Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle and now I recently purchased YSL's Black Opium. I like perfumes that smell young and sophisticated, not too sweet and I'm really found of Orange Blossom notes combined with fresh fruit. They all fall under the "oriental" category, I believe.
My signature scent is Versace Crystal Noir 🖤 ginger, coconut, and black pepper being some of its notes. Someone once described it as a vampire on the beach, and I couldn't find a better description than that 😂 I use it year-round in this tropical weather.
I love Replica By The Fireplace. I’ve never tried the others, but want to. I can be sensitive to fragrances too. I like a lot of Jo Malone fragrances because they’re, I don’t want to say simple...let’s say minimalistic, lol. Straight forward, and on the lighter side. I am a sucker for Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry. So good. Hope all’s well!! Thanks, girlie🍃🌸
Amanda Z It’s kind of difficult to explain. I definitely get the cherry right away, but not in a super sweet way. When deciding whether to purchase, even before I smelled it myself, I remember reading a review that said something like, “it smells like a cross between Shirley Temples and cigarettes”, lol. Idk about the cigarettes, bu definitely get where they were coming from. I do pick up on some really light floral notes. I really think that you may like it. I buy a lot of samples from eBay and know that it’s on there.
I'm new to the world of ~fancy~ perfumes and I just bought Glossier You last week!! This is such an amazing coincidence, because I got a Replica sampler set and By the Fireplace was my favorite (along with Sailing Day... so fresh!) and I actually have a question for you.. So, for the tiny little spray samples, 2 sprays was all I needed for a solid 5-6 hours of wear time and I was wondering how the travel size bottle compares? Like, is the amount released in a single spray of a Macy's sample bottle and the mini Replica the same strength? I've never had travel size so I wanted to know how long that size would last me for wearing it 4/5 times a week! $25 is a lot easier to fork over than $125+, lmao... esp for something I'd only wear during late fall/winter before switching to something lighter. Lovely video, as always
Replica By The Fireplace and Whispers In The Library are two of my favourite perfumes too and I'm trying to find an affordable dupe for both because they're SO EXPENSIVE
As a teen and in young 20’s I could wear whatever I wanted. I usually wore curious or Ralph Lauren polo blue, the. It was Romance, but as I get older I have more sensitivities to smell. Also, lately I feel like everything sort of smells the same. 🤷🏻♀️ maybe it’s just me. Anyway I’m still looking for a “signature” scent that I can wear all the time. I totally know what you mean by “she smells good” instead of “her perfume smells good”. Right now I have a roller of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet. It’s okay, but it’s just not “IT”. Ya know? Now I really want to try these you mentioned especially By The Fireplace.
Thank you for this video!! I’m really starting to get into perfumes, if you like by the fireplace I feel like you would love “love, don’t be shy” by Killian or Baccarat Rouge 540 extrait both sweet but sort of musky scents
if i was rich i would have a bagillion perfumes haha! they are just the epitome of luxury to me. i love glossier you but haven't replaced it. but the best perfumes were the ones from commodity..i was absolutely gutted when commodity goods discontinued their line. their perfumes moss, gold, and mimosa were truly incredible and unlike anything i've ever smelled. also smelled the coriander perfume from ds&durga at a local boutique and would loooove to get it ha. i did buy a small thing of jo malone wood sage and sea salt and wore it on my wedding day. a very unoffensive one. i want to get more into fragrance for sure
also - my trip to nyc in april clearly didn't happen, but when i reschedule in the future i am for sure going to hit up a bunch of the perfume stores like byredo!
I’m going to have to try whispers in the library because I have and love glossier you and by the fireplace. Another one that you might like is Ariana Grande’s Cloud perfume
Amanda Z it reminds me of glossier you but sweeter. It says online that the notes are lavender, cashmere, pear, coconut, vanilla orchid, praline, and bergamot
Very interested in that whispers in the library perfume, will give it a smell when I'm nearby a counter. You might want to check out Aerin amber musk, or Narciso Rodriguez, the original one in the black bottle. Love both for days that I want something more subtle. Also, what's on your eyes? You look stunning!
By the fireplace is my current favorite perfume but it doesn’t last long on me. I have the small size of whispers in the library and don’t like it at all. Now I’m debating You lol but I dunno
Replica def makes my favorite scents. I’m a male who leans towards unisex and I purchased whispers in the library for my mom and ended up gifting a bottle to myself as well. By the Fireplace obviously is the sophisticated “marshmallow fireside” scent that I wear every day in the winter. Jazz club when I’m on a date. At the Barbershop is also super underrated. Super clean scent, kinda lavendery and like I just had a really nice steamy shower. My all time FAVORITE perfume though was L’Occitane Cedar and Orange and they discontinued it. Super cedary but also peppery and that fresh orange citrusy juicy burst to break up the masculine notes. I want them to bring it back bc I think about it all the time.
I had to check out The Only One by Dolce & Gabbana after hearing Kathleen Lights talk about it. Fresh Cream by Philosophy and Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande I really enjoy as well. I also like trying perfume oils by indie companies.
@@AmandaZ definitely give it a go! They have a body wash and lotion too if you're into layering. I love foodie smells. They also have a Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere which is also nice
One time I was in a library and this woman’s perfume from 20 feet away gave me a headache and it ruined my study sesh. It was def her perfume bc the horrible smell came when she did. Now I bring a mask to the library
So I already own by the Fireplace and use it all year round but it’s kind of too warm for me in summer. Would you guys say that whispers in the library is more suited for summer but still in the same family as by the fireplace? Because that’s exactly what I’m looking for!
Ummmm what about the iconic Britney Curious??? Smells like college! Also some of my favorite memories are wearing the original Dior Addict to concerts and being a punk slut!! And I think You smells like a fancy vintage shop. xoxo
I've been super obsessed with good girl by CH for an evening out and pradas La Femme as an everyday/casual scent and I always get so many compliments 💞 I really want to try replica and Jo malone
Hey! I don't want to come off as mean spirited, but the last two perfumes are made by Maison Margiela, not "Replica", Replica is the name of the brand's perfume division. Love your content!
I know we are talking about perfume BUT I have a question to meybelline check heat blush it is so patchy on my skin and I don't even have a oily skin or a dry skin, so does anyone know how to fix that.??
I’m such a perfume geek but had a suuuper sensitive nose too!
🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋
I loooove the Glossier perfume! Also it’s cruelty free and I’m so glad, I am going completely cruelty free now that I know more!

Maybe your inner Britney Spears is coming out!
nooo!! haha
@@JD-ht7yw LOL f*ck yes! 😂😂 Id love to go blonde for a while! 😅
That's very odd lol. On me it smells like a clean creamy cedar or something.
Yeah it smells like an ash tray on me 🤷🏻♀️
Try Atelier Cedré Atlas. Just. You’re welcome. Worth every penny.
Hi Carrie!! what's tom ford lost cherry like? I am a fan of black cherry a lot!
My FAV perfume!!!! I have over 65 perfumes and this is the only one I’ve gone through three times.
Oh this makeup?? Love!
Sameee!!
thank you guys :)
I definitely think they both last the same on me :) same formula! Thank you for watching!!
Molton Brown Oud is my favourite and I am VERY sensitive to all perfumes ;)
Ordered you by Glossier! Excited to see!
I love grapefruit and rhubarb scented perfumes 💜
ooooh rhubarb
Replica By The Fireplace and Whispers In The Library are two of my favourite perfumes too and I'm trying to find an affordable dupe for both because they're SO EXPENSIVE
Alt Fragrance has a dupe for By The Fireplace and they are working on one for Jazz Club.
I really love clean perfumes they make me feel good☺️ Prada La Femme is perfektion in a bottle
Givenchy L'interdit is great. I think you'll like it.
I totally know what you mean!! I want to smell uniquely like "me"!!
Lush’s lord of misrule is a spicier version of whispers in the library. One of my favorite fragrances is fable by ellis brooklyn
Another one that you might like is Ariana Grande’s Cloud perfume
oooooh thank you!! what is ariana's perfume like?
Amanda Z it reminds me of glossier you but sweeter. It says online that the notes are lavender, cashmere, pear, coconut, vanilla orchid, praline, and bergamot
My favourite perfume is the masculine cologne Mont Blanc Legende Intense. It's so spicy and musky, yet also clean and smells like a fancy man.
Thank you!! Is the aerie amber musk really amber-y? I had mostly my AOA studio eyeshadow in holiday on :)
@@AmandaZ I'm not very good at telling apart perfume notes,I Ijust know when I like a perfume, so i had to google. Apparently it is pretty amber-y
Oooh I kinda want to try barbershop 😆my wallet is crying
Have you looked at some of the perfume oil shops that sell dupes and often discontinued scents? You might find what you are looking for .
replica jazz club & gucci bloom nettare di fiori for me ❤️
I had to check out The Only One by Dolce & Gabbana after hearing Kathleen Lights talk about it. Fresh Cream by Philosophy and Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande I really enjoy as well. I also like trying perfume oils by indie companies.
Ooooh "fresh cream" sounds AMAZING--- because whipped cream, literally anything cream is delicious to me
@@AmandaZ definitely give it a go!
Now I bring a mask to the library
love your reviews!
thank you :)
Have you checked out the brand CLEAN? They might be up your alley!
I haven't! What are their perfumes like?
So I already own by the Fireplace and use it all year round but it’s kind of too warm for me in summer. Would you guys say that whispers in the library is more suited for summer but still in the same family as by the fireplace? Because that’s exactly what I’m looking for!
Yes I like it for the summer! It's warm which is good for me, but not sweet, woodsy like by the fireplace!
Hi. I hope you make a new one like this ❤️
Ummmm what about the iconic Britney Curious??? Smells like college! Also some of my favorite memories are wearing the original Dior Addict to concerts and being a punk slut!! And I think You smells like a fancy vintage shop. xoxo
I've been super obsessed with good girl by CH for an evening out and pradas La Femme as an everyday/casual scent and I always get so many compliments 💞 I really want to try replica and Jo malone
Tommy girl by tommy hilfiger, smells like summer, also Heiress by Paris hilton. Love it ❤
Hey! I don't want to come off as mean spirited, but the last two perfumes are made by Maison Margiela, not "Replica", Replica is the name of the brand's perfume division.
Love your content!
Not mean spirited :)!! I know it's not the brand I'm just being lazy and did't want to pronounce it LOL
@@AmandaZ, hahaha that's fine then!
Sadly by the fireplace gave me an instant headache when I tried it
:(
I know we are talking about perfume BUT I have a question to meybelline check heat blush it is so patchy on my skin and I don't even have a oily skin or a dry skin, so does anyone know how to fix that.??
I wasn't a fan of it :/ I had trouble with it because the base pigment was too white so it looked odd on me
I had the same problem with it and finally just threw it out.
Y’all are asking her to buy more stuff!?
Can you ask her to review the new PlayStation and Xbox when they come out? Thanks in advance 😂
If you like beautiful unique scents, check out Ella K Parfums, she makes beautiful niche scents!!
Let Hank smell them and decide.
You like to wear perfume, not that the perfume wears you
exactly!!
“Smell like you... amplified”
Put it on me so the whole house smells like MAN
