Useful information for me here in Canada. I just bought my first two-handed rod I’ll used for Atlantic Salmon on medium river. I missed Nam Demo last june near my place, too bad I did not know about it! I went for Sage.
Hi Guys, great shootout. When it comes to Danish fishing like the skjern on all stretches and possibly Sweden or Norway in the future what model of the Delgado or Ren would you recommend? Looking to catch my first salmon next year but doubting between the 12'.6" 7# ren or 12.7 7# delgado or the 13.3 8# Delgado or 13' 8# Ren . Due to accesability it will be Skjern/Storå in the beginning but i would like it to be useful elsewhere too. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for this massive review! What do you think is the best line class/length combination for the Skjern river? Planning a trip in early season to hunt the big ones. I´m struggling between 7 and 8 weight.
Thank you for the video Daniel. A very inspiring series on salmon fishing together with recommendations for gear. One question remains, is there any rod that is particularly useful/ adapted for the underhand cast (I learned the underhand cast from a Danish Flyfisher)
Lot of greater info in your last couple clips to only be watched once. It won’t hurt try few rods with unmatched lines, like under & over lining 100 to 200 grains in the most powerful rods by only roll to Spey casting. Thank you for the time and work!!
I bought the Ultralight NSX when I broke the Asquith. To be honest I did not miss the Asquith, and the difference is not big. Ultralight is as light in the hand and feels slightly more powerful, although not as crisp..
@@sigmundlindkvist9885 Ive been wanting to pull the trigger on the Hardy Euro rod. Ended up buying a Sage R8 and Sage Trout Spey HD since I live in North America.
I used my new Hardy Ultralite NSX 13,6 ft in Alta river and in several other rivers this summer, and its just amazing. I have never used a better rod. Both the speycasting and getting salmons on land (the largest was 14 kilo) went like a dream.
I have. it's a dog. But considering I prefer really fast two-handers most rods feel that way to me. Like the guy said in the review, buy the rod that matches where you want to be.
Thanks al lot for this review. I like your videos very much! Sometimes it it hard to listen to when you repeat the same word 3 to 5 times in a row :)) Knaek og break!
@@andrescholz7193 7127 and 7134 are SUPERB dry line rods but IMO both lack tip power for skagit lines. It works but their 3 piece counterparts are better suited for skagit work.

Tak for de vidunderlige videoer, du laver, fortsæt med det gode arbejde!

12’6”-13” #7 is perfect for Skjern in the spring 👏🏼
Awesome review!

Most rods will deliver that cast well :) It's more about finding the right line, to the individual waters/rods :)

Great video guys love your content but can I ask what lines did you test on these rods and in what grain weights?
I am very curious how the Hardy Ultralite NSX DH rod compares to all of these.

Go Gaelforce - you’ll
Never use another rod company
What exact line and weight did you use with the 13' G Loomis Asquith?
RIO Versitip System, 525 grains i belive! It was a long time ago :)
Hey! What Lav are you using, sounds great in the wind!
Yeah their incredible windstrong! Alot is done on the audio in post processing as well :) It's the Wireless Go 2 lav mics
@nordicanglers what is the gadget who hold the line in coil at your whist? thanks
It's called a Ahrex Flexistripper :)
Flexistripper is a "must have" in my opinion. Keeps yuor shooting line in total control 👍
Hey, very interesting review of many of the rods Ive been in the market for. I currently own the Asquith 13ft #7. What line would you recommend?
Depend on what, and where you are fishing :)
@@NordicAnglers Northern Norway, Atlantic Salmon :)
@@prebenhenriksen5136 Hi. Try Rage compact 450grains with 13’ polyleader. The best set up I use with the Asquith.
Scandi in the 450-480 range
Thanks for sharing!

No i havent :)

Practice makes perfect :) English is not Daniels' first language :)
Nice video, but one small for improvement: Find a substitute for "really really" and "very very" 🙂
Long descriptive sentences is a bit of a mess sometimes :) Remember english isn't my native language :)
I really really like your videos and I'm very very much a fan! Keep it rolling my Nordic friend!
Or just get a Burkheimer and forget it
Absolutely , the 13,4#7 Burky will outperform and outfish them all. The 12,7#7 is a nice one , too

Unfortunately they are not readily available here in Scotland 😂
