The one I made for myself a few months ago, I folded the leather wet, round a 20$ bill.. and allowed for thickness.. then soaked in green.... it was magic how it sewed together.
That wallet is beautiful. I did not expect the green leather to look so good. And as always, meticulous work and incredible attention to detail. Love your videos!
I am an art lover and for me it is a great therapy to see how you makes spectacular pieces with leather. I would love to have that wallet ... it's a great piece!
Its amazing your handwork, soorry about my English greettings from Argentina... My daughter (7years) and me see all your videos and we are dreaming with work together making wallets and bags... God bless u
In the last two weeks I've gotten into watching your videos and I gotta say, that I love them. You have inspired me in my own work. Thank you and can't wait to see even more of your videos.
man! I had such a hard time choosing a wallet from your collection the first time and ever since i just keep wanting to get more XD im just imagining how well that bifold will set in once its used for a few weeks lol
I just ordered the template and I am SOOOOOO excited to get it and make one. Brother, God gave you such a beautiful gift. Thank you for sharing it with us. God bless you, your family and keep up the great work.
Man I love the videos when you make your craft. It is soo satisfying, I know it takes a lot of time to record but so worth it and so enjoyable. I did see the craft life and also super satisfying. Love the old school vibe. Keep it up.
This is just what we need! I’m gonna put my feet up later and watch this soothing video. Can’t wait! The visuals are as smooth as the sounds! Nice one man! ... as always! 👌🏼🎥🙏🏻
You're a lifesaver! I've always loved the "Tony the Ant" style from Ashland Leather, but have never found the pattern! Going to use yours instead and attempt to make one out of shell :) Just ordered a beautiful green one from Horween!
Great wallet. Love your craft life video. Your studio (and the barber shop) are great expressions of your crafts, who you (and the barber) are, and what you do. Awesome work on the videos.
MAN! You are awsome. I love your videos, and love your work. It's so relaxing. Just saw Peter McKinnon's video with you. Good luck with all your projects.
Loved the new vlog! Im really into preserving old ways of doing things and creating a quality items that may have taken a long time to make but its going to last far longer than mass produced items. Which is why we bought a small farm to grow and can items, have chickens, we hunt we fish, I'm a woodworker that works in my spare time when I'm not schooling our kids. Its pretty much a cool life.
Man oh man can you please make a video of how much the different leather costs per lbs or length and also how to price your products and why? Would greatly appreciate it 🙏 I'm about to buy your long wallet but can you make it a 3 tone?
Hey, great job and thank you for this video tutorial, but I have a question about the dimensions and thickness of the marble you are working on. Thank you :)
Beautiful craftsmanship! When you design your wallet templates, do you take into consideration the stitching spacing so that you reach every corner perfectly?
I had no idea what half the stuff you were doing, but it was a cool process to watch. I think I also have a better understanding why crafted leather goods are priced the way they are after watching how much work you put in a wallet
Been thinking of leather craft for years. Never looked into it but this wallet has sold me. Now just need to figure out how to get some tools to South Africa. Lockdown is not helping...
This V3 in emerald green is what I want. Unfortunately I dont see the emerald green on your website. How can we know when you restock on a certain leather?
I started leather craft bc of the video you did with peter McKinnon probably like a year ago now. I’m a wallet in and I’m obviously not amazing yet but one day.
Hey man! Coming over from PM's channel. Just saying Hi! No seriously though. I am a huge fan of the new shop! It just looks so spacious and well put together. The channel is awesome. I'm gonna be borrowing some tricks from your vlogs/videos for my site. Best regards
where do you get thin veg leather that you use. All I can find is 6 oz and thicker. I find chrome tanned all over. I don't have a splitter. I just started working with leather about a year ago. I just started selling some of my work. it took a while to teach myself the stitching.
Alex Riley I’m not the video creator, but I do create leather products professionally. This quick poke is made to open up the leather on the other side. Many leathers tend to “heal” themselves after some time passes, so a quick poke on the reverse side opens up the hole for a moment so that it’s easier to see it and easier to pass your other needle through. It also reduces friction on the thread since it creates a temporary “lip” that protrudes outward (rather than being force inward into the leather when passing your needle through, which would tighten the hole, increase friction on the thread). On thinner threads, this could even cause issues with stitch durability. So this quick poke back through negates these issues.
The one I made for myself a few months ago, I folded the leather wet, round a 20$ bill.. and allowed for thickness.. then soaked in green.... it was magic how it sewed together.
Can you elaborate a little more please?
So good
Thanks Brother 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Hope you and your beautiful family are keeping well!

Wow, totally did not expect to have Peter McKinnon invade my other hobby!

That is marvelous craftsmanship. Love these handmade items, will always beat something made by a machine in my opinion. Thank you for uploading.
I like that you hand stitched this one. I get that it takes way longer but there is a clear (better) visual difference to me.

Do you have to add water to the tokonole to thin it out a bit in order for it to go through that applicator tip?

You are a creative man 🌹
When you a stitching why do you do that first little poke then go through with the other needle?
