    For this pump model, I'm having problems removing the hose from the Presta valve. When I try to unscrew the hose from the valve, the hose takes the whole presta tip off. I'm not sure how to fix that.

      Make sure to use a valve core tool to re-insert or tighten the valve core if this happens. Then re-inflate. Hope that helps.

    I am surprised in the difference between the two pumps. I imagine quite the arm workout!

      The volume the pump pushes it will take a bit to fill up, but at least you are riding skinny road tires!

    Is it a great way to get oneself out of bad situations?

      Having a pump always has the advantage of having air. CO2 and battery inflators are both limited.

    probably better to get the chunkier HV model. nobody needs 160psi

      A good recommendation assuming someone isn't going to go over 90 PSI which is the limitation of that particular pump. Some road riders do still run higher pressures. In my case I run about 83-85 PSI, I like that extra wiggle room, rather than pressing up against the max capacity of the pump.

    Only problem with the silca, it makes your wallet go flat 😂

      Silca is on the higher end of price for sure. Quality is there, but there are for sure some money to be saved with other brands.

    Would a battery pump be a good choice instead of this or CO?

    • @JDirom
      @JDirom  Місяць тому

      Battery can be limited as well. To be fair I have never used one. I would be concerned about potential a depleted battery if not used for a long time. Again I have zero experience with this.

    The PRO model has one very important difference. On the non-PRO model, the threads on the pump body where the extension hose threads in, is plastic. This cross-threaded when I needed it most. The threads on the PRO model are metal. I had to discard the regular model and buy the PRO model. I would not recommend the non-PRO model, it is a false economy.

      Thanks for that bit of information. That will make a difference for sure.
