STEPHANIE, will you be getting chickens 🐔 this year? I finished this video & a video near Easter 3 years ago & Beethoven, the chicken showed up in the video on Chateau in lockdown. He is such a beautiful bird.
One of the sweetest things about Lalande, is that it has become a sanctuary and a place for healing hearts and bodies. Dan, Andrew, Ollie and many more. You can just see health and happiness return to the faces of those who are fortunate enough to step inside. ❤
Please tell me who Ollie is…I have been watching for at least three years and don’t recall seeing him. You also mentioned Andrew? Thanks I started watching when Selmar had a camper on the property.
Hi Stephanie, Keep Ollie. Allow him to recoup and create at your chateau and with you. He is smiling. The love between the two of you shows and is tremendous.
Oliver brighter and making my day with his pocket full of moss. Then he arranged it in the flower pot!The walk was wonderful. That wallpaper is truly historic, and a great fund raiser for the Chateau. Be happy darling Oliver.
It was absolutely lovely to see Andrew's welcome to Ollie. Genuinely thrilled to see each other and Ollie's face just lit up. His sense of humour is returning too, which is good to see. The walk in the forest was delightful and interesting to see all the work that Jean-Christophe has done. Brian is so funny, not sure if Santa did leave him any presents! I love the white table centre piece, it looks a bit like the gazebo in the garden. 😁
Hopefully Michael Potts and Nick & Marie will all come back to Lalande one day when the time comes. It's beautiful to see the house full of old friends again. Stephanie created a truly magical home for all those she welcomes. Brava! xx
Oh my, I do wish we could all collect, however, I am now 83 and have been unable to fly since 1968. I am enjoying each step in my saga of the return to France of two Chateaux, LaLonde and Chament
So happy to see Andrew, Annalise & Brian. All three are so cheerful and have amazing banter & humour. The walk with Ollie was very special and one can imagine the beautiful lake in the future. The table setting is always stunning and Phillip never fails to amaze us. ❤👨🌾💇♀️🍽
Yes, the whole video had happy vibes and exciting glimpses of future projects! Love the table settings, the scarves and the wallpaper sale idea! ❤️❤️🐕👏🏻👏🏻
It really is SO lovely to see Ollie smiling, chatting away happily and creating again! Glad to see that you're on the mend and are being nurtured at La Lalande. Much love from Sydney, Australia.
Ollie, it’s wonderful to see you in the vlogs. I think about you sometimes just out of the blue. The vlog you made about your experience with your ADHD diagnosis touched my heart and is helping me find my way. 🙏 Thank you
My parents took wallpaper from my grandparents 200+ year old farmhouse from the civil war here in the USA. They made my sisters and I each a shadow box with the old wallpaper before they had to take down the old house. With so many memories of our childhood it was heart breaking to hear the house had to be torn down however, we have a piece of our history and memories to cherish forever. So the idea of selling pieces of the wallpaper in the Chateau is a fabulous idea
Stephanie seeing as you love Hellebores so much you could ask Davie to include more of the vast aray of gorgeous colours and forms, they're all stunning. 😍
Looks like Coco and Galahad have bonded quickly. So excited to see the lake come back. Love how talented, kind and helpful everyone is. Ollie, I love your sketches. I’d buy one of those! Loved the centerpiece Stephanie. It’s adorable! That dinner looked delicious Philip! So nice you’re making the most of what you have and will be selling pieces of the wallpaper. Go Amaury; getting paper off the wall in sheets is extremely painstaking work. Love to you all from Mary in Southern California 💗
The scarves are beautiful! So nice to see everyone together. I was surprised that this is the first time Andrew and Ollie have met after all this time.
I've been meaning to say, I received my scarf, and I love it. (I've never been much of a scarf person; I just wanted to help out. But I wear mine quite regularly. 😊)
Wow! So much going on at the moment. A mammoth project with the Grand Salon and everything connected to that! Must be causing disruption with the guest season this year🤔. Can’t wait to see each video as it comes out 👏🏼
Ollie reminds me of my California-raised brother ---wherever he moved or lived, he'd make it a point to wear shorts off and on. And he has such gorgeous nature to explore...the trail, creek, forest, Chapel and gardens--progress, ...I always wonder if there are small trout in the water flowing thru the property ?? My Camillias are in bloom.
I watched the old film "Life with Father" last night (fun to see a young Elizabeth Taylor). There was a segment where the leads (William Powell and Irene Dunne) sing a song, circa 1883, called "Sweet Marie". I immediately thought, how fitting of La Lande's Marie. Here's an excerpt: "I've a secret in my heart, Sweet Marie -- A tale I would impart, Love, to thee. Every daisy in the dell Knows my secret, knows it well, And yet I dare not tell Sweet Marie. When I hold your hand in mine, Sweet Marie, A feeling most divine comes to me. All the world is full of spring, All the warblers on the wing, And I listen while they sing, Sweet Marie. Chorus: Come to me, Sweet Marie. Sweet Marie, come to me. Not because your face is fair, Love, to see. But your soul, so pure and sweet, Makes my happiness complete, Makes me falter at your feet, Sweet Marie." There were lot's more verses, but this was the gist of it. The references to flowers and the general altogether loveliness of "Sweet Marie" were the clinchers. And, La Lande's Marie is fair of face indeed. 🥰
Just adore watching the love flow between you all. What a sanctuary indeed! Stephanie you are the cornerstone, no question. What a gift you are to so many souls. For people like you, giving love is much more important than receiving it. And I’m pretty sure that’s the definition of a saint. ❤ may you be abundantly blessed in all your wishes and desires. You deserve everything!
What a beautiful walk in the woods. Ollie keeps getting brighter every day. I look forward to seeing his art. The table scape is georgeous. Congratulations on the sale of the scarves. I am sure the wallpaper samples will sell well. Those seeds will be beautiful grown.❤
I really appreciate how creative you all are with the fund raising. I thought the stars, cards and scarfs were just lovely and now the wallpaper remnants?! Just brilliant. You’ll have this chateau full financed in no time!
Interesting. My friend has a brocante and she had 2 padded single bed heads of the peacock wallpaper pattern one time. I saw them a few times so am convinced they were identical. I wonder if there was a catalogue at the time 😊
Phillip you have such a marvelous talent for decor. Absolutely adore the center pieces for the dining table . Also I believe they’re only sold in the USA but Bushes Baked Beans or our a fav here in the states . You should try and get some . They come in several flavors like brown sugar and so on . Delicious they are .
Can't help thinking how little Sir Gallahad reminds me of an Armadillo in his green puffer jacket hurrying along in those woods.😂😂 Dont tell him that I said that because I think he looks so cute❤ The dining room is a hive of productivity. Glad to see Ollie looking much happier and joining in.😊
And Marie, I can see why you’re so excited about all those beautiful packets of flower seeds! Your garden and arrangements are going to be super extraordinary this year! Love from Mary in Southern California💗
This was just gorgeous. Loved the walk in the woods and the music. So good to see Ollie sparkling again! ❤ the centre piece for the table is delightful…and Andrew is a tonic. Big love to you all ❤
That's quite the walk and the pups are going to be sleeping when they arrive at the Chateau. I can hardly wait for spring and winter when you resume your walk to see all the plants in bloom.
You should save a square of each original wallpaper and frame them and hang them in there perspective room with a little history card on the inside of the frame. So when guests stay they can read and learn about the chateau.
The first time I saw checkered Hellebores at a local botanical garden I thought someone had painted them, although even that was a bit unbelievable too! I couldn't believe such a flower existed naturally. Since that day, and the impression the beautiful flower made, I've loved Hellebores. In looking the spelling up, I've found out they're very poisonous. Yikes! Best to wear gloves when handling them for any period of time, apparently. I love Ollie's art work. It's beautiful. Philip's table settings are always beautiful, but this is one of my favourites. The china centrepiece is going to be so much fun to use. There are so many wonderful, creative things happening at the chateau; it's such a place of comfort and love. Thank you for sharing this and bringing all of that positive energy beyond the chateau!! Ooh, I saw wild cyclamen! My sister gave me some last Fall. I do love an adore the mini garden you made for the table. Your scarves of your father’s art are stunning.
I’m so glad Oliver has a beauty like Coco. I used to have a doggie like her. Coco brings me joy. Oliver is looking better, I’m happy for him. It’s great to see Andrew and Brian. I’m not sure but I believe that Michael and Billy’s friend Philip has the brightly coloured wall paper of yours in his master chamber at his chateau. He has the non faded version as it was hidden in a door surround. The seeds are fabulous and will be a riot of colour and smells. Galahad has me enraptured. Thank you. Yes so similar to Stephanie's parents place of refuge
Also Marie
Dan? Only Stephanie and Dana seemed have remained friendly. Everyone else at La Lande seem to have dumped him.
Ollie is completely genuine - his emotions are transparent - with no fakery
Hi Stephanie,
Keep Ollie. Allow him to recoup and create at your chateau and with you. He is smiling. The love between the two of you shows and is tremendous.
Keep him?
What do you suggest he does with his lovely wife and girls?
He has the most beautiful wife and 2 daughters
What an odd thing to say. He has a life, home, wife, kids and animals
Oliver brighter and making my day with his pocket full of moss. Then he arranged it in the flower pot!The walk was wonderful. That wallpaper is truly historic, and a great fund raiser for the Chateau. Be happy darling Oliver.
I loved it when Ollie commented on his gazelle like agility in scampering thru the forest trail. 😁
So nice to see Andrew back. And I'm so happy to see Ollie smiling!
It was absolutely lovely to see Andrew's welcome to Ollie. Genuinely thrilled to see each other and Ollie's face just lit up. His sense of humour is returning too, which is good to see. This is the first time I've seen Galahad chasing & playing with another dog!
I think I love the off season, "family" only vlogs. I love seeing how you all go thru the off season sans guest. Sharing what you all do each day.
LaLande is a magical place for healing souls.
So sweet that Galahad has made friends with Coco!
Yes, Galahad is in love with her! 😁🐕🐕
It's always so nice seeing the beautiful Analise, and seeing Ollie making jokes and smile is wonderful❤
Brian is a hoot! What a character!
"I don't trot." Haha brilliant 😂
Brian is so thorough, any area he touches is totally transformed as if a team tackled it!
Hopefully Michael Potts and Nick & Marie will all come back to Lalande one day when the time comes. It's beautiful to see the house full of old friends again. Stephanie created a truly magical home for all those she welcomes. Brava! xx

I am so happy to meet Ollie. I’ve enjoyed meeting him in the last travel posts. Such a sweet soul. I hope he’s doing better.
I popped on here to say that Ollie was looking quite happy & healthy. I see that I’m not the first to notice. 🤓❤️
What a beautiful walk! Brian the gardener is a wonderful character! So good to see smiles on everyone’s faces.
Yes, Brian would make a brilliant forest gnome with a felt cap! He’s such a jolly man.❤️
