    Of late, PVC Pipe has become the mainstay of my antenna projects.
    Very timely vid as I've been wanting to play with 50M Repeaters and look for some simplex SSB chats.
    Great construction method using Tees and 45deg Ells. Right down my alley. HAHA
    Thanks for posting this.......

    Thanks! Great video. My new Moxon is 87% complete. Need to invent my feed point and tune and be ready for the 6m openings!

    I did also. I have an MFJ-1896 6 Meter Moxon. I want to build a 2 meter version. And yes, mine covers the whole band. These are great antennas. There is a program on the internet called moxgen that will help you design it. They have good front to back also. Very good antenna and they do work mounted vertically.

      Yea Don I forgot to mention that they work vertical also, thanks for the comment and for watching!

    Good video and explanation. Sorry from over 497 viewers the guys were too busy to hit the "thumbs up" button that UA-cam judges you on.

    Awesome video, thanks for the in depth view of your build, I’m working on building this for a weekend project.

    Just came across your video. Nice version. 👍Mine is still up in the air after all these years. The resonant point on mine has dropped a little after all this time but it is just fine for my operations. 73 John - N1PCE

    Well how about a demo to your buddy 80 miles away. Did it work well? What has been your experience with it? Nice video thanks for the instructions.

      Well my buddy has had some life changes and at the moment we haven't tried a contact, but I have another buddy that just got his license and is wanting to try everything he just needs a radio that does 6m. I have made contacts to Washington and Arizona during openings on 6m. Day to day it seems no one takes the time on 6m unless it opens up in my area. Thanks for watching!

    Nice build! Maybe you want to try a lambda loop also fed with a J-feed. I made some interesting experience with that on higher frequencies.

    Your gaps are absolutely critical per experience on 2 meter. What I am questioning is feed point gap. I found that critical too. You will have to recalc if go to lager wire. But hell of a 2 meter low power ssb 144.2

      What what is the gap on the two spacers

      I seem to remember a site that had multiband Moxon's so yea I think you can and that is on my list.

    Thanks for the video. How do you adjust for best SWR, and what kind of band width do you have?

    • @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures
      @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures  2 роки тому

      It's just like a Dipole you adjust the length of the driven and you can adjust the reflector the same percentage but leave the gap between them the same.

    Can you stack different bands together like on a cobweb?

    • @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures
      @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Doug you should be able to, I have seen it done. If you use this build maybe 2m and 70cm since they are smaller. For Ideas you might google it and look at my video on the 6m hexbeam and check out the link I have there to the how to build a hexbeam.

    Cool build. I just had a couple of questions, I think I know the answers, but....
    1) These measurements are point to point and not actual pvc cut lengths?
    2) The 2" spacing on the insulator, that 2", is that between the two contacts or OAL of the plastic insulator?
    Oh, how high did you end up mounting this?
    Thanks, two thumbs up 👍👍

    • @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures
      @KK6USYHamRadioAdventures  2 роки тому

      Yes on the second question. And I think the measurements your asking are P to P and you can adjust at the ends to keep wires tight.

    I wish you would do the same thing for your HEXBEAM ANTENNA as you have for the moxon. It would be a great help. 73 AE4OY William Peacock EM-81UF SOUTH EAST GEORGIA
