  • In this video I show you how to replace the radiator on a Pontiac G6 V6 3500cc engine, show you tool tips to make your job easier and offer a few helpful hints along the way, so check it out! I've recently heard it's also possible to remove the radiator from the bottom after removing the brackets but I would think the hose and line removal would be much more challenging that route, but it's an idea.

This is one of the best videos I've seen so far to replace the radiator. Gonna tackle replacing my 08 this weekend. And thanks for the segment for the special tool to take off the transmission coolant line

Did you get yours done? I've got the same car with a spraying leak that will run the res down after a 20mi drive or so. Curious how it went for ya! Thanks for any response, my friend.

It really wasn't as bad as I thought. It did take 6 to 7 hours as discussed in the video. I took pictures as I went along because of so many bolts and things to keep up with. But all in all, as a backyard mechanic, it was relatively easy.
***if you do buy a new radiator, check to see if they already have the snap on rings inside the lip. I spent an hour trying to put the new ones in and didn't even know they were already there. The lines went right in after that lol.

This is a great video! Thank you for making it. My Haynes manual said I have to evacuate the AC system and you just confirmed my thought that I don't.

Excellent video! Do we have to check and top up the transmission fluid at the end ?? Some of it must have been lost in the process.
    Congratulations.

Did you have to discharge the a.c. compressor?
