AEW Fight Forever is a professional wrestling sports video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ Nordic. Fight Forever features arcade-style gameplay, with nine match types in the launch version. These include singles match, tag team match, ladder match, Casino Battle Royale, and Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch. The game also features online play and intergender wrestling.

For sure. They are having the best time. Glad they went not over the top like allstars and battlegrounds and if you wanted you can play realistic like. Well balanced and looks super fun. Haven't heard anyone have this much fun ever in a wrestling game. Can't wait.

Right. Haven't heard anyone have this much fun with a wrestling game in forever.. I have 2k23. It's fun in small doses. But it's so bare and lacks any variety compared to wrestling games from like 2015 and back. The graphics are beautiful. But they took so much out and it feels so restricted. This game has good graphics for what they are going for. Gameplay is obviously fun. The variety in weapons. The hit detection I've saw in other videos for the steel steps. The apron. The barricade and the tables are cool. Every wwe game I've played for a while now doesn't have that. They have that weird slide (everyone knows what I mean by that) looks like any move mot just OMG moves let's you interact with them. Powerbomb or slam your opponents actually on them. Love the blood (guessing it disappears after a while to keep the T rating) but unless I saw wrong looks like the body can get cut and bleed as well. Idk just looks like the fun is back in this game. Not 2k battle grounds over the top arcade. Not super realistic sim like 2k. Looks like you can have realistic matches though. It has a good balance. Glad to see them go up the ramp. I assumed after the single matches that if you could get a dq or counted out you have to stay by the ring. But if you couldn't you can fight on the ramp and hopefully back stage. Look like I guessed right about the ramp. I just can't wait to play

This is how an arcade wrestling game supposed to be, not the repetitive gameplay we get in 2K22 and 23.
To be honest , I have seen in this video also a lot of repetitve stuff ...... sure so cool new weapons , but the rest was very normal.
I have also thought that it would be even more blood.
@@paluxyl.8682 At least there's variation in different superstars. In 2K23, Omos and Rey Mysterio plays the same.
I just hate 2K so much for changing the whole gameplay since 2K22. They were doing well with simulation if only they improve on the other aspects instead of changing the core gameplay into block/dodge and combo/breaker mechanics.
@@maxonaroll From what I have heard about the AEW game is that is that a wrestler will have less than a wrestler from the latest WWE games.
We got now the year 2023 , and I want more advanced wrestling games in which every wrestler got over 100 moves. I was impactful attacks like if a leg gets too much hurt a wrestler is no more able to walk properly. I want real weight , small wrestlers should not be able to lift heavy wrestlers. I want realistic wounds and that bones can break.
And that's just the tip of iceberg , .......... I want much more that it would take hours to tell just the basic changes
@@paluxyl.8682 You can have up to 5 finishers and signatures, and that's actually more than WWE lets you have if I remember right. That's perfectly fine seeing as wrestlers usually don't have 4 different finishers anyway.
Dude I was worried this was going to be a bad experience with how quiet they got for a while... But if anything... the game play looks so fun. Dont know how creation suite and career will be... but honestly... even if its not the best in the end... I dont mind. Because this will DEFINITELY be a game to play with friends over everything. The variety of weapons is awesome too. Just all out old school fun.
Career sounds good 👍 it's like No Mercy's career....you can win/lose matches which branches to different stories, you can upgrade your character etc

It's not going to be forgotten. It looks like a lot of fun. We still haven't seen Barbwire Death Match gameplay,Lights Out,or Tag Matches. Which the gameplay looks awesome. All we need added is a cage match and trios and we'd be all set. I'd say Blood&Guts would be a cool idea too but I doubt they'll add it in.

This game is legit Day of Reckoning with WM19 fused Together and injected with steroids. And it's awesome. Love it.
Man day of reckoning and wm 19 were pure simulation type of games. Fight forever plays nothing like them. İn day of reckoning when you hit or get hit with a nornal move, it takes too much time to stand up again. This game is more like a mix of hctp and no mercy gameplay vise. But it looks like day of reckoning visually...

Throwing exploding bombs is insane can only imagine the barbed wire death match I was already sold on this game but it’s a definite buy
The only thing I don't like about the exploding tanks is whenever the person throws them onto the person like it has aboslutely no effect to them. They should react to a explosive getting thrown at them.

I was talking to a buddy about how i wish video games these days would kind of maybe take it back to the ps2 era but have the HD 4k quality of the Nex Gen and this is giving that perfect balance, makes you feel like your playing a classic PS2 game with Nex Gen quality. I hope other sports game take notice that say want to create a game to compete with madden or 2k. Simple take notes from games that people call "the greatest of all time" and figure out a lane thats going to work and sell.
If you want simulation style wrestling with pollish graphics then turn on 2k23 but if you want that over the top arcade retro feel of a Here comes the pain or No Mercy, turn on AEW FIGHT FOREVER!

This looks amazing. I just don’t like that the weapons go transparent. Defeats the purpose of hitting your opponents on top of a ladder for example, that is laying on the mat. Nonetheless, this has my inner child screaming with joy
I understand why they did that considering the fact that you can fill the ring with weapons, but i do hope there's an option to turn the transparency off. It's WAY too aggressive

yeah that is unfortunate, but i bet it was necessary to be able to get so many in the arena at once. if they all had to have collision physics, that would be a LOT.

@@cacomeat7385 They should turn the transparency off when a move is activated while standing on the weapon. Wouldn't be perfect but would help with the bigger items.

I mean credit where credit is due: this looks pretty damn good, especially since it was built from the ground up. Hell, even the graphics are a good improvement from the beta footage. They can only go up from here when hopefully there will be sequels that will build on this!

Are you able to turn off grounded weapons transparency in settings or something? I appreciate that you can slam people on weapons and they will actually react to it and stuff but it's so annoying that you slam them on ghost weapons

I think the transitions are hard coded and not dynamic. The explosion did nothing to Hikaru Shida when she was getting in the ring, same as with pinfall.

Why do people complain about this not being realistic? It wasn't made to be realistic! Not everything has to be WWE 2K. I've been waiting for another arcade wrestling game on Switch since Wrestling Empire dropped.
Wrestling was hella popular in the 90s with the hell of video games like wcw revenge and wrestlemania 2000. Even non wrestling fans liked those games.
