When you look really hard and you can't find a silver lining sometimes you have to create it yourself. We're all up against things and the struggles we face are real. I can't imagine the sacrifice these heros make and their families which are heros too! I'm so thankful for what they do and one of the only ways I've ever found to survive and conquer my own struggles is to help someone else through theirs. I always find that other people's problems make mine change from climbing a mountain to walking up a hill. We don't have to understand what others are going through to see and know that it's very real. Lift up a life. It's very healing for both and it makes the world a more loving place. Love can be contagious and hate comes from a place where love and understanding is lacking. Sometimes our heros need heros. Thank you all for your service and sacrifice.

Thank you for your service to our country and for what you are both doing. My late husband suffered from PTSD from Vietnam. He was a fighter pilot F4 and was in a tiger cage for 22 months before being sent to Hanoi Hilton. He learned to walk, talk. Made to a full Colonel. Also was in the Gulf war . But he did have nightmares and flashbacks. Would start with mayday call then go on to speak in Vietnamese which he could not speak anymore at that point. I taped him so I could show him . He was also badly tortured that left memories that we had to be aware of. God Bless All Our Vet Who Lost Their Lives or living. Sadly my husband died 20 years ago. I miss him everyday.

I have suffered from PTSD for over 50 years and at least for 25 years I didn't know I had it. In fact I was so detached from military that I had never heard of it. Even when I diagnosed here in Florida with it I asked, what the hell it that? As far as I knew he was talking about some STD. But after years of treatment I still have it because it never goes away. It just lingers in the dark until it is called on and not by choice.

I took care of a woman who's Marine son committed suicide when he found out his wife had an affair. It crushed my heart to see a mother lose their son, who fought in the Middle East and saved other lives, unable to save his life. I prayed with her on Memorial Day last year and told her that her son still deserves to be recognized even though he killed himself because the battle he fought against himself was probably the biggest battle he ever had to face. It made me realize that we need to respect and honor the veterans who need us here. A lot of them are not all right and a lot of them are still fighting and internal war when they get home.

I've been trying to get help from the veterans administration for my problems from my enlistment in the United States Navy PTSD is nothing to deal with by yourself and I have other issues that have effects on my life since I got out of the United States Navy. I have found out that I was mislabeled as a isolationist and I am nothing like this. I am a as I say a people watching person as I have to size them up as friendly or a person I know I have to stay away from. I think that this is Normal but it doesn't help the way I have to live. I admit that I live in the woods where I have No Neighbors around me so yes I have my Freedom and I live here by myself with my friends who I have to keep me safe yes they are dogs but they are my family and they have never treated me wrong like some people I know. Anyway, I am 63 now and the veterans administration keeps sending me every year proof that I am a veteran but I have never received any help for the problems that happened in the United States Navy as of yet.

First off. Let me THANK all these veterans for their service! I have never fought in any such battles. I have however read much into the difficulties these people suffer "after-the-fact" and are changed for life! These afflictions are REAL and my biggest problem here is WHY our OWN government does NOT help these people that defended our freedom and instead spends BILLIONS on helping other countries and refuses to help our own!!!! I deeply respect all of these people that chose to defend our country and then to have our own county NOT support/help these brave souls is just WRONG at every level! Anyone should NOT have to create "foundations" to help these individuals as our useless government should be doing this and FAILS! I do SUPPORT organizations that do help these people but our OWN government should be doing this!

As a mental health prescriber for 35 years the problem is the VA medical system does not prioritize mental health services for vets. Here in Oregon we have TRICARE. This insurance company has credentialed me for two years and now that I am changing medical billers it will take another three months to credential me. Being the only one that TRICARE uses here in the state because providers haven’t taken the 40 hour classes I am it. My clients have told me they have called TRICARE to find another provider and there is no one available. So just because of paperwork TRICARE has eliminated people from getting help for over 90 days.

Exactly. But maybe this will help, our sacrifices have made our citizens comfortable and safe. They don’t know the horrors of the world because of our love of country. That’s no excuse for them to be ungrateful or weak but, those aren’t everyone. Those spoiled cry babies aren’t ever really respected. They are just the ignorant infants of society we bottle feed to keep them quiet and happy. 🇺🇸❤️

Veterans should visit schools. They should become role models for kids without direction, some of the kids being raised without fathers. I think it will do good for kids, for veterans, for society.

When I stand as a sovereign being, as a master, as the creator that I know that I am, I respect and honor every experience, every aspect, because I know that they’re there to share wisdom. But the only way they can share their wisdom with me is when I’m owning my godself. When I’m in that moment loving and accepting and allowing all that I can be.

the same people who were furious and outraged by the obligation to wear a helmet for the health of the children, claiming psychological after-effects, are ready, in order to keep the right to carry a weapon, to authorize surveillance cameras in the classrooms, armed teachers and a whole set of armed solutions. Their solutions obviously have no psychological impact on children! How can a weapon be negative: this will be their answer to possible objections

I suffer greatly with PTSD and my Medicare Disabilty just cut my hours of counseling in half! Can anyone in the Federal Government explain that, as that let the mentally ill perpetrators out on low to almost no bail and no help just to repeat offend again?. So many unanswered questions! Fox News to you can you seriously investigate this and report on the truth behind it all?
