In the video at 12:02, the author says that the way inwhich the Numidium was powered was lost to history. No it actually wasn't. If anyone played Daggerfall, you will find out that it was the Underking (Zurin Arctus) sends a message to the player: "Centuries ago, Tiber Septim ruled the land and forged an empire with great Numidium. The secret of Numidiums's power lies in its heart, carried within the Mantella. It is the heart of Tiber Septim's battlemage. It is my heart. It is my Mantella. It is my Totem. It belongs to me, and to none other. I have won and lost an empire. I have no desire to tamper further with mortal affairs. I have in my possession Necromancer's Amulet, one of the world's greatest artifacts. You may have it in exchange for the Totem. My most loyal agent will await your arrival in Graywold of Wayrest, in an Order of the Hour." Underking. Anything that occurs in the game is considered to be factual therefore this clearly shows that it was Zurin Arctus who sacrificed his soul to power the numidium. Zurin became a lich and his soul remained in the mantella. This explains how he lived so long without his heart. Zurin Arctus along with Wulfhaarth are known as the Shezarine. Isnt liberty prime a fallout version of the numidiom? They are both enormous robots that need a large power source and is a certain factions biggest weapon? Is it only me? Oh okay then.
Josh James its more than just that the numidium(or walkbrass) was one giant fuck you to existance by the dweamer,as such whenever its activated it renders all gods(even akatosh) non existant, thus breakinh time (warp in the west/landfall)
No Numidium is MUCH more powerful than Liberty Prime. In fact, it's literally powerful enough to kill an Aedra or Daedric Prince. That is what the Dwemer initially designed Numidium to do. Destroy all of Creation.
Although I know this a history that is made up, the way this guys make it sound and see, it makes me feel the same way as I am reading the books in the game, as if Im taking part in something that is bigger and immensely older than me.
this is becoming better and better... those last lines in each part makes me always shiver - they have strengh inside and makes me very edgy, while waiting for next part. Amazing Job
***** Talos Stormcrown and Tiber Septim is one and the same, this we know... The god Talos is as you say multiple people but not necessarily exactly three. The most prominent theory is that Talos the god is actually Lorkhan of which (amongst others like Plinal Whitstrake, The Underking , the champion of cyrodil and the dragonborn of skyrim) Tiber Septim is belived to have been an avatar of... but most of that is simply speculation

ShoddyCast I found a teeny weensy flaw in this episode.I admit the Talos's arsenal of weapons was great, but i dont believe he'd have Miraak's sword at 12:06
You know Talos is bad ass when he still managed to take over the rest of Tamriel’s regions without the use of his powers. He definitely earned his legacy.
When they mentionned the red dragon that became Talos' helper, it occured to me that Odahviing's scales are actually red... Kudos to Bethesda for lore continuity there.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking this, but the art used in these videos is awesome!! It really helps bring the story that ShoddyCast is telling home.
This is by far one of the best series on You Tube. Even though I knew most of this stuff already the quality of the video and its narration is flawless and I still love to watch it anyway. Great Job!
Wow, I just found this channel through youtube recommendations, and I loved this series. The artworks and use of skyrim mods to represent the facts being told are fantastic. Great job.
ysmir, Tiber septim, and zurin ultimately make up the deity of talos because talos was not just one man but three, all doing great things, all being aspects of lorkhan. they're legends were combined in part due to the warp in the east, or the Dragon break
So this is actually much more literal than just people "declaring him god". Because Talos was infanct Hjalti Early-Beard, Ysmir Wulfharth and Zurin Arctus, all of them are Shezarrines, mortal incarnations of Lorkhan, or Shor as he's known in Nord culture. Hjalti made Zurin Arctus use his heart to create the Mantella, because he's a Shezarrine and he's esentially Lorkhan, the Mantella could empower the Numidium, which is supposed to operate with the power of the Heart of Lorkhan from the Red Mountain. The problem is, we dont know if Zurin Arctus gave his heart willingly, Mannimarco claims that Arctus was betrayed by Hjalti and his soul remained in his body becoming the Underking, although this being could also be Ysmir Wulfharth, because he was also betrayed by Hjalti. Only after the death of the Underking is when Talos was born, with all three souls now combined they obtain such a great power that its capable of mantling Lorkhan's throne in the Pantheon.
HAIL TALOS, THE DRAGONBORN WHO LIT THE DRAGONFIRE AND BECAME A GOD, WHO'S BLOOD HELPED THE CHAMPION OF CYRODIL TAKE BACK THE AMULET OF KINGS! Ulfric, the Imperials, and the Thalmor can suck it.
Lol, Talos definitely did not conquer the Marsh, he simply left with what he could take and correctly decided not to push his luck haha. God I love the Argonians.
***** Debatable, if you take into consideration that during the 2nd era oblivion crisis with Molag Bal, the Argonians pretty much whooped his Daedra ass. I mean, the Argonians invaded the Oblivion Planes, not the other way around. That's just too badass. xD
I think sitting on your ass all day while someone else can do the dirty work for you makes people slouch. Same goes to the very young generation these days.
I love these vids! I can just imagine myself in a tavern somewhere nibbling on a sweetroll listening to these stories. I personally like how you take subtle stance in the way you tell the history. It makes it more "real" to me. After all all history is bias. The fact you guys explore that is awesome.
I've been thinking the same thing, I've got a D- in civics for not paying attention but haven't missed an episode of Shoddy's Fallout or Elderscrolls lore vids.
I'm happy to see that you included the inevitable Machiavellian speculation "Do the ends justify the means?" Sure I disagree with what the Thalmor are doing, but I totally see where they are coming from. It's hard for me to decide who's side I'm on in Tamriel really, throughout all of the history... which is great, because there's no clear "good guy" or "bad guy," like in real life
Wait a minute.. so they needed a powerful soul to power the brass god, and after the activation there is no mention of Talos's dragon. The need of a powerful soul combined with his innate ability to harvest the souls of dragons only makes me come to one very grim conclusion. Talos sacrificed his dragon companion in order to make his dream of unity a reality, perhaps even the dragon offered his soul for what he saw as a Noble cause.
Mackenzie Bodor Tes adventures redguard in the game the character was voice acted and you couldn't choose his race or features but it had the best story in my opinion of any tes game
Talos never conquered Argonia, he only took small part of coasts and part where Argonia starts. Argonians were to much for great Talos and after many failed battels to take over Argonia he gave up and left Argonia alone. No one even conquered Argonia not even Daedras, Argonions raped Daedras alone without any help of other races and Daedra generals had to close the gates to avoid 100% rape from them.
Solf J. Kimblee well to be fair, a nude argonian is still a character is a full set of heavy armor :I so lets say an argonian has a full daedric set, that is heavy armor over heavy armor........argonians are too op.
nawfal gharnati Are you sure? English isn't my language, but if I'm talking in the past (or at least I was trying to =P), I think it make sense to use the word in the past. At least it's how it works in Portuguese.. Am I wrong? I mean, I didn't knew, now I know, is it wrong?
the empire did invade Akavir long ago but the invasion was failed do to number of reasons. Akavir controlling weather causing difficulty for legionairs and political and economic issues back in cyrodil.
SFforlife It is still unkown even to this day. But it has been done before. In morrowind underneath mournhold the dwemer built a device that could control weather.
Huge respect for Argonia and Hammerfell they resisted talos and had to make an agreement to be partners. He didn't own them and even the greatest leader with a dragon huge dwemer bot and several armies decided to stay away.
miller repin Actually he didn't use the Numidium on Argonia or Hammerfell because it didn't work. If it did, both provinces would have fallen in a day.
miller repin Not really, his tactics involved 'shout em down' or going the 'impossible route' because 'fuck you, dragonborn'. By the time he became a warlord his tactics were balanced out by numerous generals and advisers that told him when fighting wasn't worth it.
Lightscribe225 That means several different generals a dragonborn a dragon several armies can't keep control of the argonians in their homeland and had to partner up with the redguards because they are bosses who can't be controlled for long
miller repin No, they avoided Argonia because it was a disease filled hell hole that destroyed their supplies and wasn't worth the effort to subjugate the Argonians. Hammerfell entered a partnership only after the Imperials beat them, and then it was beating an errant general who got waaaay too cushy.
Yeah the Siege of Mournhold. Although I don't remember the Numidium already fighting for the Empire. That battle was epic legionnaires and Telvanni royal army fought on the walls of Morrowind's capital for days and Tiber fought himself on the bastion
Not sure if your team still checks comments on these vids but I just have to say WELL Done. I had a burning question about the seriously weird messed up timeline of ESO which lead me to your series. God I love these so much
Talos is Hjalti Early Beard, Wulfharth and Zurin Arctus. All three are Shezzarines. Talos most likely became a god when the Warp in the West occurred and that's when the enantiomorph became efficient. Arctus ripped out the soul of Wulfharth by Hjaltis orders. Like Trinimac ripped out the heart of Lorkhan by Auriels orders. Or how Mora pierced Miraak on behalf of the Dragonborn. It's a mythic echo and Talos took Lorkhan's place in the mythic upon death. All of Mundus now runs on the TalOS.
This man knows what he is talking about, though I think you meant Dragonbreak instead of Warp in the West since Warp in the West is specific Dragonbreak at the end of Daggerfall.
I don't think Talos has earned his place among Aedra. They were immortal beings that sacrificed their very bodies to create Nirn. Talos just conquered a continent with military force.
Or, if you had actually watched the video, he didn't. Oh sure, he did fight, but in the end, it was not military that made Tamriel bend it's knee. Imperials? Already accepted him as the king. Nords? Pledged themselves willingly. Bretons? Didn't really put a resistance and quickly assimilated. Redguard? Signed a treaty after several failed attempts by Talos. Argonians? Only "lost" outer marshes, still lived free in inner marshes. Which are untouched by Imperial Legions. Dunmer? Again, a treaty. Khajit? Once again, treaties. In short, only ones who got conquered purely by force were Altmer, Bosmer and Brettons. Talos brought peace and stability to entire realm of Tamriel, to point where each race was held equal in the eyes of law. I say that's pretty good job.
Orcs and Argonians could serve in Legion and hold office. In fact, Orcs were very welcome in the Legion, there is entire outpost made out of Orcs in Morrowind. You are confusing "the law" and "the people". People are racist. Laws weren't.
Timber Septim is to assumed to have mantled the dead-god Lorkhan and take Lorkhan's place amongst the Divines. Talos was an avatar of Lorkhan. Kinda like the spirit of Lorkhan getting to the place it wants to be.
***** It is not uniting Tamriel that makes Tiber Septim godlike. It is the mythical reenactment of Creation that he orchestrated that makes him godlike.
***** Or the Fact the he shows up in the end of Morrowind and gives you a coin to defeat Dagoth Ur. Or the fact that the only way to defeat Umaril the Unfeathered in Oblivion is with Talos' blessing
So Talos forced his believes on every race by brutally killing them. Then since he was the victor, he rewrote history to make himself seem like the good guy..... gotcha.
juiceyginger1 Pretty much, and It's one of the reasons to why the Thalmor want to destroy Talos. Seeing how long Altmer tend to live, It's very possible that some Mer who were alive during Numidium's assault are still kicking arround, in their shoes who wouldn't want revenge?
This was the single greatest empire Tamriel has ever known. Those who support the empire of the 4th era are traitors to the original empire. Under the iron fist of the elves men first lived in Tamriel, and the races of men must rule over the land. Those who desire freedom of persecution from the elves in the empire should have it, like the Stormcloaks. My point is is that this was the way it should be, not under a petty emperor who lets his people suffer, like in the late 4th era.
***** Check your lore. The High Elf version of the divines say to kill man. Their religion and belief is that they are in prison on Nirn until they can undo everything....
***** Wrong. Check the lore of TES IV, especially pay atention to various Ayleid ruins, and to the back story of the Knights of the Nine DLC. Cyrodiil, for example, was ruled by Ayleids (Hearth-land High Elves) during the Meretic era. Men were used and enslaved by Ayleids for thousands of years, before St Alesia led the rebellion that ended the Ayleid domination in Cyrodiil and saw the rise of Alessian empire, the first Man empire in Cyrodiil. It was also during the St Alessia's rebelion that Pelineal(original Divine Crusader) killed Umaril, the Ayleid sorcerer-king. Ysgramor and 500 companions led the war against Snow Elves in Skyrim even before St. Alessia's rebelion started in Cyrodiil. The roots of Men vs Mer hatred go way before Talos.
Every Empire except the first Nordic one was controlled by the Imperials. And since he's talking about Tiber Septim, it's even more obvious that it's the "Imperial" Empire he's talking about.
Conrad Cash Definition of Imperial; that which relates to an empire, emperor, or the concept of imperialism. To refer to the Colovian empire, or any empire in the real world as an Imperial Empire is redundant, unnecessary, and all together poor use of grammar. It's like saying "Motorized Motor" or "electric electricity".
Bethesda needs to release a TES game where we get to play as Talos as he conquers Tamriel. I think that's really the only thing that can top Skyrim. xD.
+Oh Vaylo Yeah, I guess that would be the traditional TES way. Talos frees us from a prison because he had a dream that you would fight along side him or something.... Yeah, I can see that working out.
Great episode. But it would be much better if instead of skipping questionable parts like creation of Mantella you would explain different theories. Where is Wulf? Where are relations to Shezzarine? What about his conflicts with Zurin and other people that were close to him in his conquest? Where is description of epic battle that happened with help of Numidium and distortions in time it caused? Again, I am just saying that if you would list theories instead of skipping them all together and saying "we don't know for sure" it would be much more informative.
Well yeah. I mean Elder Scrolls much like real world history is not concrete at all, there are so many conflicting points of view and records in history, plus Elder Scrolls being a magical world has reality and time shifts. In my opinion it would be much better if they would go with multiple theory route in each episode, describing different records, opinions and theories that exist about events. What they do instead is go with the safest route and when they reach the part that has a lot of conflicting points about it they just skip it...but they probably do that because episodes would greatly increase in length if they would go into all details of TES lore, and there are lots of details. Alternative would be for them to link Wikia page links and ingame book names, basically sources of information at the end of each episode so that people can read into it more deeply if they wish to do so. Still amazing series, you guys are doing great work.
Lorkhatosh This is one of the many aspects, why i love TES The story is not predetermined, so it's not clear what really happened and you can imagine your own story, what might happen and what the people had done This can change your full view about characters, factions, stories or even gods I totally agree with you, but i think in some cases it would be better, if they don't mention the theories, because the Hardcore-TES-Loreexperts would spam each other in the comments to death^^
According to the Blade's book: The Atlas of Dragons, there is a reference to a dragon called "Nahfahlaar" (meaning Fury For Clear, or Clear Fury). It's possible that Nahfahlaar is the same dragon as Nafaalilargus. This is compounded by the fact that Nahfahlaar in the book is said to have been constantly allying himself with kings and kingdoms for a certain amount of time, making it difficult for the Blades to kill him. His fate is left out of the book, which further fuels the suspicion that Nahfahlaar is the same dragon as Nafaalilargus; and that Nafaalilargus is just a cyrodiilic version of Nahfahlaar.
I'm sorry, can we go back to the part where Tiber Septim had a pet dragon?
It wasn't a pet. It was more of a mercenary.
He Was Killedby Cyrus The Red Guard, which is a playable character in.....what was the name again?
***** Yup!That game!
Jacques Shaw and thousands of years later the last dragon born would find himself with his own pet dragon.

Underking.
(Avatars of the hero diety of mankind known as Lorkhan) Talos was also a Shezarine.
The mantella mimicked the power of the heart of lorkhan when it was powered by a soul of a shezarrine.
Talos was such as great shezarine that he became a divine himself.
However, the question is this.
What will you do? Will you give the mantella to the underking or will you slay him and keep the mantella for yourself?
Isnt liberty prime a fallout version of the numidiom? They are both enormous robots that need a large power source and is a certain factions biggest weapon? Is it only me? Oh okay then.
+Josh James kek! Fucking elves!
Amazing Job
They powered it with the BFG...
The Big Fucking Gem.
I adore this series and have taken to falling asleep to it every night
Great episode i love how they stick to the facts
Nothing is truly a FACT regarding Tiber Septim.
***** Talos you mean???
Caleb Bryan So far this has not talked about Talos, yet, just one of the three persons that make up Talos, and that is Tiber Septim, the emperor.
tiber did not slaughter the bosmer with the numidium. he made a peace treaty. only the altmer were slaughtered. a slight inaccuracy there
***** Talos Stormcrown and Tiber Septim is one and the same, this we know...
Did anyone notice the deadric artifacts at 12:05 and I think miraaks sword is there too.

ShoddyCast I found a teeny weensy flaw in this episode.I admit the Talos's arsenal of weapons was great, but i dont believe he'd have Miraak's sword at 12:06
Justin Scott Omg just realized there is also the Blade of Woe
The Hacker Tracker it could just be the same model of sword since during that time they were not going to make just one sword of that type
+ShoddyCast
If you don't mind I would make subtitles to your videos with my language.
is the red dragon you talked about in this video odahaviing
You know Talos is bad ass when he still managed to take over the rest of Tamriel’s regions without the use of his powers. He definitely earned his legacy.
When they mentionned the red dragon that became Talos' helper, it occured to me that Odahviing's scales are actually red... Kudos to Bethesda for lore continuity there.
Odahviing isn't the red Dragon that helped Talos. You're thinking of Nafaalilargus
mojonation1487 Correct, but by that I meant there is a continuity with red dragons helping dragonborns.
The dragon in the video is from a mod that replaces odahvings model.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking this, but the art used in these videos is awesome!! It really helps bring the story that ShoddyCast is telling home.
A story that is obviously based on the lore of one of the most amazing game series' of all time :D
Talos, the biggest bad ass to ever grace Tamriel.
He is cool, but no one is so cool like the great Nerevarine ;)
This and the first series didn't do much to me, but just gives me chills in every episode I watch.
Awesome as always.
This is by far one of the best series on You Tube. Even though I knew most of this stuff already the quality of the video and its narration is flawless and I still love to watch it anyway. Great Job!
0:50 to skip the intro.
Wow, I just found this channel through youtube recommendations, and I loved this series.
The artworks and use of skyrim mods to represent the facts being told are fantastic.
Great job.
The Redguards of Hammerfell are badass! Bascially just told Tiber Septim to suck it!
Wow, the visuals in this one are.... well, I'm simply speechless. A lot of work, and a job well done, sirs.
Great story as always, my daughter and I are looking forward to the next installment
^_^
I love these videos. Watching the seasonal playlist, it feels like watching documentaries on the History channel for a fantastical AU. :D
ysmir, Tiber septim, and zurin ultimately make up the deity of talos because talos was not just one man but three, all doing great things, all being aspects of lorkhan. they're legends were combined in part due to the warp in the east, or the Dragon break
warp in the west
I knew he used the Numideum, I was waiting for the exact moment you mentioned it. I love the subject of a Giant Bad-Ass Dwarven Centurion.
I'm always so excited to see another episode of this series uploaded. Keep up the awesome work my friend
Is it bad that every time I watch one of these videos I act like a little kid bouncing on my bed and thinking "yah story time".
Thanks for your subtle hint towards Beyond Skyrim. Much appreciated.
--Mizreg
WOW, great grpahics and great narration, just...WOW!
You should do an episode on Wulfharth, the Underking and the alternate history of Tiber Septim as told in the Arcturian Heresy
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE, LONG LIVE THE DRAGONFIRE!
***** If you serve Ulfric you serve the Dominion aiding them to destroy the Empire and any trace of Talos.
***** as well as an Imperial Victory
HAIL TALOS, THE DRAGONBORN WHO LIT THE DRAGONFIRE AND BECAME A GOD, WHO'S BLOOD HELPED THE CHAMPION OF CYRODIL TAKE BACK THE AMULET OF KINGS! Ulfric, the Imperials, and the Thalmor can suck it.
ALL HAIL THE DRAGONBORN.....BITCHES!
I think you should make one on The Companions. How they started and how they became werewolves. Possibly even do one on Vampires and werewolves.
That's just too badass. xD
Yeah, that could have been Talos' "Russian winter" (a la Stalingrad and Naploleon's winter retreat)
I'm with Elsweyr but I still got respect for Argonians. Takes a strong people to survive in Blackmarsh.
This series is like a real documentary! Great work
Long live the Empire!
Well done! Please keep this up after ESO is in full swing. Best Elder Scroll fan made series to date. Looking forward to the next installment.
Hail Talos.
NO!!! HAIL MORROWIND
Nope! Hail Sithis!
May the series live on forever!!!
why do all the jarls slouch on their thrones?
I have thought that too, lazy bastards...
Lol
I think sitting on your ass all day while someone else can do the dirty work for you makes people slouch. Same goes to the very young generation these days.
Ryan La Legend you hurt my sides
Elisif doesn't.
I love these vids! I can just imagine myself in a tavern somewhere nibbling on a sweetroll listening to these stories. I personally like how you take subtle stance in the way you tell the history. It makes it more "real" to me. After all all history is bias. The fact you guys explore that is awesome.
I know more about Tamriels history than the United States' history. Fuck why can't school be this interesting.
Talos sacrificed his dragon companion in order to make his dream of unity a reality, perhaps even the dragon offered his soul for what he saw as a Noble cause.
the dragon was killed in the redguard rebellion and the player kills him
Fair enough, I didn't realize we played through the red gaurd rebellion though, which game was that again?
Mackenzie Bodor Tes adventures redguard in the game the character was voice acted and you couldn't choose his race or features but it had the best story in my opinion of any tes game
It sounds pretty awesome, I'm gonna check that out thanks man!
Mackenzie Bodor Do it, though the game hasn't aged that well, It's still damn good.
I need an entire series of this
So pretty much Hammerfell is Dorne from Game of Thrones.
Yeah and the battle of meereen is basically the battle of stros mkai
and also Aegon had truble conquering Dorne just as Tiber had problems conuering Hammerfell.
Eh, sort of.
J Gilbert yea except the dornish men repelled dragon attacks but the redguards couldnt
Nah Dorne is pretty much Hammerfell From The Elder Scrolls Series
Great job on this show, I am looking forward to the next episode.
Solf J. Kimblee KIMBLEE!! i thought you got eaten by pride...
otar the mad My badassery will never die
Solf J. Kimblee no, no it won't.
Solf J. Kimblee lol
Solf J. Kimblee well to be fair, a nude argonian is still a character is a full set of heavy armor :I so lets say an argonian has a full daedric set, that is heavy armor over heavy armor........argonians are too op.
I enjoy the elder scrolls universe so much more after watching these videos.
Talos guide you !
This is already epic but Two Steps from Hell music in the background makes it *so* much better.
I didn't knew Talos had a Dragon. Didn't the Dragons vanished long before Talos? Where he got his dragon?
just to let you know it's i didn't know not "knew"
nawfal gharnati Are you sure? English isn't my language, but if I'm talking in the past (or at least I was trying to =P), I think it make sense to use the word in the past. At least it's how it works in Portuguese.. Am I wrong? I mean, I didn't knew, now I know, is it wrong?
if you want to talk in the past then it's I Didn't Know And In The The Present It's I Don't Kow
nawfal gharnati oh, it make sense. Thanks for the tip. I learned English by myself, so there's a lot of rules I got wrong =P
i m 12 and i learned it by myself no offense meant
Great stuff. Makes me think that the next Elder Scrolls release will allow me to achieve all that Talos did.
United Tamriel should have invaded Akavir... Oh well, one day.. one day...
One of the Septim emperors actually tried to but failed horribly.
Yeah, the Disaster at Ionith? Yikes..
the empire did invade Akavir long ago but the invasion was failed do to number of reasons. Akavir controlling weather causing difficulty for legionairs and political and economic issues back in cyrodil.
Revarus Maldar It was never revealed how or who controlled the weather was it?
SFforlife It is still unkown even to this day. But it has been done before. In morrowind underneath mournhold the dwemer built a device that could control weather.
thank you for making this, made my day ; very calm and nice voice to listen to
Huge respect for Argonia and Hammerfell they resisted talos and had to make an agreement to be partners. He didn't own them and even the greatest leader with a dragon huge dwemer bot and several armies decided to stay away.
miller repin Actually he didn't use the Numidium on Argonia or Hammerfell because it didn't work. If it did, both provinces would have fallen in a day.
Lightscribe225 He still had a huge army a dragon and was a great tactician.
miller repin Not really, his tactics involved 'shout em down' or going the 'impossible route' because 'fuck you, dragonborn'. By the time he became a warlord his tactics were balanced out by numerous generals and advisers that told him when fighting wasn't worth it.
Lightscribe225 That means several different generals a dragonborn a dragon several armies can't keep control of the argonians in their homeland and had to partner up with the redguards because they are bosses who can't be controlled for long
miller repin
No, they avoided Argonia because it was a disease filled hell hole that destroyed their supplies and wasn't worth the effort to subjugate the Argonians.
Hammerfell entered a partnership only after the Imperials beat them, and then it was beating an errant general who got waaaay too cushy.
Beautiful and informative as ever!
Thank you again for these immersive sources of TES lore!
I hope when the next Elder Scrolls comes around we get to kick those evil high elves back to there island
Awesome work, I like the art style so much better than the previous style as well.
No talk about the Dragon Break? The numidium sieging a city for only an hour but also 2 eras?
Yeah the Siege of Mournhold. Although I don't remember the Numidium already fighting for the Empire. That battle was epic legionnaires and Telvanni royal army fought on the walls of Morrowind's capital for days and Tiber fought himself on the bastion
Not sure if your team still checks comments on these vids but I just have to say WELL Done. I had a burning question about the seriously weird messed up timeline of ESO which lead me to your series. God I love these so much
I LOVE TALOS!
Can't wait for the third part, great job guys!
The hammer fell lads are mental, wish TES 6 is set there
thankfully it will be now
Really awesone episode! Can't wait for the next one!
I want him to talk about how he had an affair with barenziah
Excellent job as always, ShoddyCast!!
11 Dislikes were from The People Talos Beat the living shit out of
Talos is Hjalti Early Beard, Wulfharth and Zurin Arctus.
*****
It is not uniting Tamriel that makes Tiber Septim godlike. It is the mythical reenactment of Creation that he orchestrated that makes him godlike.
*****
Or the Fact the he shows up in the end of Morrowind and gives you a coin to defeat Dagoth Ur.
Or the fact that the only way to defeat Umaril the Unfeathered in Oblivion is with Talos' blessing
I like how at 12:03 you can see miraak's sword on the weapon rack.
So Talos forced his believes on every race by brutally killing them. Then since he was the victor, he rewrote history to make himself seem like the good guy..... gotcha.
juiceyginger1 Pretty much, and It's one of the reasons to why the Thalmor want to destroy Talos.
Seeing how long Altmer tend to live, It's very possible that some Mer who were alive during Numidium's assault are still kicking arround, in their shoes who wouldn't want revenge?
juiceyginger1 no empire is pure
No genocide and assimilation was in many cases switched with integration. Id say he did a good job. Night of tears....
You pretty much just summed up Alexander the greats life
this lore season IS AWESOME
This was the single greatest empire Tamriel has ever known. Those who support the empire of the 4th era are traitors to the original empire. Under the iron fist of the elves men first lived in Tamriel, and the races of men must rule over the land. Those who desire freedom of persecution from the elves in the empire should have it, like the Stormcloaks. My point is is that this was the way it should be, not under a petty emperor who lets his people suffer, like in the late 4th era.
*****
Check your lore.
Amazing, i tip my hat to you shoddycast you really know how to tell a story
Admiral Richton looks alot skinnier...
these guys deserve way more subscribers
Talos is Nord right so he should be in sevengard but I haven't see his name.
Sorry if have some wrong spelling ;)
ok but he dragonborn so he should be in sevengard but I forget he's a divine
Sorry if I have wrong spelling ;)
ok then
***** I personally believe he was a Nord born in High Rock until a certain age where is family moved to Skyrim.
Talos amended to be a god. That's why he is not among men in sovernguard
Hes not in sovengarde because he became one of the nine divines.
Great new artwork Concept! Keep it up Shoddy!
"Imperial Empire". What? As in, Republican Republic? Or unnecessary redundancy?
He is referring to the Empire controlled by the Imperials.
Every Empire except the first Nordic one was controlled by the Imperials. And since he's talking about Tiber Septim, it's even more obvious that it's the "Imperial" Empire he's talking about.
***** Even Colovians would not be correct. Nibenean Cyrodiils would be offended.
Conrad Cash
Definition of Imperial; that which relates to an empire, emperor, or the concept of imperialism.
To refer to the Colovian empire, or any empire in the real world as an Imperial Empire is redundant, unnecessary, and all together poor use of grammar.
It's like saying "Motorized Motor" or "electric electricity".
What a great video, really shows why Tamriel and the elder scrolls is exemplary of lor and backstory.
LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE!!
You just wait Anakin.. you will become one of us too..
Ya! So good :) I am a huge elder scrolls lore buff , and watching Thea's videos I alway lurn something more!
Bethesda needs to release a TES game where we get to play as Talos as he conquers Tamriel. I think that's really the only thing that can top Skyrim. xD.
I prefer to create characters but that would be amazing
+Oh Vaylo Yeah, I guess that would be the traditional TES way. Talos frees us from a prison because he had a dream that you would fight along side him or something.... Yeah, I can see that working out.
+Pet Mez Of course we would start in a prison.
elder scrolls tradition bud.
why not play alongside him/against him? I think that woukd be more interesting
Im always so very pleased with the work you guys do. keep it up. gods be with you.
I'd really like a list of theories for a lot of the stuff they cover too, but that's just my opinion.
Lorkhatosh
This is one of the many aspects, why i love TES
The story is not predetermined, so it's not clear what really happened and you can imagine your own story, what might happen and what the people had done
This can change your full view about characters, factions, stories or even gods
I totally agree with you, but i think in some cases it would be better, if they don't mention the theories, because the Hardcore-TES-Loreexperts would spam each other in the comments to death^^
