I shoot a Ten Point Nitro XRT. I use the CenterPunch Evo-X mechanical broadheads with 1-7/8" cutting surface. AND a Fixed/Mechanical combo broadband, the Trocar HBX 100 gr.. It has a pair of fixed (1") small razors, AND a pair of hinged (1-5/8") blades. This is a total of 2-5/8" cutting surface. Both are very accurate. The HBX has tested as one of the most accurate fixed broadheads with minimal shift from the field point POI. Very close to the Evo-X in accuracy. The only thing wrong with my XRT is it doesn't have the new cocking system. If I had only waited 4 months! The new system is something I wish I had, but not worth $2500. I can live with my "old" ACU draw Pro. I really dislike the small sharp plastic release lever, but will live with it. The new cocking system is a big improvement! A very slick design.
Wondering if I need to make a adjustment from using practice tips to broadheads? Do the tips weigh the same? I have a tenpoint vapor with centerpunch broad heads which came with the bow
Only way to tell is to sacrifice one of your Broadheads and send it at a Broadhead rated target to test point of impact. You can check weight with an electronic scale… you don’t need an expensive powder/reloading scale. I have a food scale that goes down to .01 ounce (and then using google or another conversion scale to convert that weight to grains) I’ve had fixed blade heads that shot higher than my field tips and some that shot lower. I’ve had mechanicals that shot dead on with my field tip and others that shot high low left or right. It’s all about knowing how a specific head works on your platform.
I would say anyone shooting a crossbow should shoot expandable broadheads for the best arrow flight. Also the Tenpoint bolts have a helical twist on the vanes that can really affect flight with a fixed blade. I personally use Muzzy HB broadheads. I used them in my compound and they were awesome and still awesome in my Viper S400. Awesome blood trails and devastating entrance and exit wounds and fly straight. But good video to help beginners.
This video does a good job of explaining the different types of broad heads.
Center punch is the most accurate broadhead I have found for my crossbow hope they will sell replacement blades soon !
Great video. It was helpful for me.
Great video! Thanks!
Excellent video.......
Very good job on the video!
Thank you very much!

Like everything else if you waited 4 months and did buy the newer cocking system you'd be mad next year when the push button electric one comes out.
Good info ..but I feel it definitely was a sales pitch for the evo broadhead
Sevr are great shot my buck this year with one went 30 yards maybe
When will you guys at TenPoint be getting more stock in?
Just curious. Thanks.
We are getting product shipments in, but the demand is still greater than the amount of product coming in on certain products.
What about a single blade (two sided) like the Magnus?
That's cool!

If I change from ten point mechanical to ten point fixed, do I need to reset scope? I am a beginner.
You should definitely shoot and check with the new heads, I'm sure they will hit different.

you did not discuss what happens when each hits a bone.
So... "tech tip" = "ad". Got it.
