I have this on ps5 and I game share with my brother who’s still on ps4 and it’s looks so much better on ps5 not only that but no dips in frame rate while maintaining a crisp resolution. You don’t notice the frame rate in the video cause he’s not moving at all once you move past objects and things need to be rendered faster you’ll notice the difference.

People always seem to underestimate the power of last gen. They could do almost everything the newer ones can, just at a lower framerate and sometimes (Depending on whether you have something like a ps4 pro) a lower output resolution.

atreus wolves are not so good in ragnarok on paper it says it deals most damage out of all the runic summons but the damage is so low when you use it. The damage is like 1-2 strikes of leviathan axe basic attack. Falcons are better, maybe a little less damage but it inflicts enemies with either hex or sonic

@@BatGoatHpc is better overall. The only advantage a console has is cost and a very small amount of games you get as exclusive. A pc can even use the controller. Plus the pc can be used for things that aren't gaming, such as completing work/homework or coding, UA-cam recording (better than console) and video editing.
If your ps4 fan is going crazy during the game then you need to clean it! I have a day one ps4 and the fan was horribly loud in 2018 with GOW and RDR2, so I now make sure to take it apart and clean it every few months. Make sure there’s nothing blocking the fan. Ragnarok did great on my day one ps4
Honestly I truly think this game not being for next gen was one of the things that held it back. Don’t get me wrong the game is great, but it could’ve been so much more. Imagine the Ragnarok fight at the end, an army fighting another army right in front of us, instead of the typical wave sequence of enemies we got.

I played on the good old standard ps4 and it honestly ran and looked perfectly fine. Really didn't feel like i missed out on much in terms of graphic and performance. It did stutter hard for some seconds a few times, but never during combat. Usually during fast travel for some reason. Only happened like 7 or 8 times over a 50 hours playthrough, while it otherwise ran smooth as butter for the whole time. I did have an issue with input lag, tho. Don't know if that's a ps4 problem or if it happens everywhere. I got used to it, so i barely noticed after a few hours but definitly feels very off at first
A tip I learned that makes the ps4 way more playable than normal is putting the game on an SSD. Makes load times better and helps textures load faster too.
There are several next generation games that don't even have the quality that this game has. This has nothing to do with being or not being a next gen game, but having a production team that really knows how to work with quality.

I used to think the same about it but I had the base version of the ps4 for so long, so it didn't have 4K. I recently got the 5 and man, it's an insane difference. I played Ragnarok on the 4 first though because I didn't have the 5 yet and i didn't want the story to get spoiled. But when I downloaded the 5 version from the bundle (both versions of the game) I noticed an insane difference. Now maybe that's because I never had the 4K capability on my PS4 because it wasn't the Pro, it was just a regular version... But I noticed the ray tracing, the controller, the load times, the fps, everything was so much better. Not to mention ghost of tsushima, miles morales, and now the next gen witcher 3 update, it's completely worth the money in my opinion.

I think the developers were just being kind and letting the consumers catch up with the lack of supply. The PS5 is just now getting to a place where it's actually in stock for MSRP price. We're definitely about to see a massive increase to performance after this year, since Sony is going to drop the PS4 by 2024. Then their games will be PS5 exclusive and able to tap into the console's full power

Human eye can identify movement on 12 fps, it can identify smooth movement from 24 frames and up, from 30 and up it can't tell the difference with the naked eye.
Just bought PS5 few days ago. At first, the graphic looks amazing and mesmerizing. But once I got immersed to the game I aint see any graphic nor reallu appericate it tbh. I just play the game and just focus on the game itself.

Contrary to popular belief, you can acumulate a lot of dust for 15 years, and your temperature will not kill your perfomance if your cooling is good, because fans are huge in comparison to what you see on laptop or consoles. They don't get stucked. How ever, thermal compound matters a lot. They can last from 2 to 10 years, so, you can get some Argic MX - 6 (pretty cheap for how good it is), and that will last you at the very least 8 years, acording to Artic (easy to believe that), and then you can NOT clean your platform for an entire generation, even tho people tend to believe that you have to clean your PC every couple months. No, you can do after 8 or 9 years, and it's quick. Everything will be great, and if your cooling is good, your temperature will never even go over 65°F. How often should you clean a console? Well, the "starting" temperature is already to high. We are talking about up to 95°F being "normal", because the materials and cooling are not the best, and of course, coolers are so small, so you don't have a lot to work with here. The answer is obvious: it should ALWAYS be as clean as possible, so you should clean it every couple months. Now, the thing is, even if you have a clean PS5, your target temperature is already so bad that the console is just not ready to be at 100% for long periods of times. How can you avoid this? With fps caps. 30 fps cap when the console can give you around 35 fps in that title. 60 fps caps when it can give you around 70 fps, and it will only be at 100% in some places, during framedrops, right? But the thing is, Final Fantasy XVI has a 60 fps cap, but it's so often not reaching that desired target framerate during tarversal that the console is at 100% most of the time. You can have this problem, no matter how clean your console is, unless you own an older version of a PS5. It's either a GPU or CPU bottleneck. My best guess is GPU, since starting a battle in perfomance mode drops your resolution to native 720p upscaled to 1440p using FSR 1. I don't know why they don't use 2.2, and target at least 1080p, because 720p FSR 1 makes the game look way to blurry, but what ever. This is something that ALWAYS happens, during THE ENTIRE BATTLE, so if you want to explore at 60 fps in this game, you should make an enemy chase you while you do it, and you'll always be at 720p 60 fps. It makes sense it's the GPU. What can you do about it? You can NOT play on Performance Mode, or, wait for PC port to play it how ever you want, but, because this game runs poorly on the PS5, it will probably be considered a bad PC port. Same thing happened to gsmes like Wild Hearts, Forspoken, Jedi Survivor, Redfall, etc. With the exception of The Last Of Us Part 1, bad PC ports usually have the same problems on consoles. Look at Jedi Survivor, for example. People and reviewers didn't even mention the issues on consoles, and you had to watch Digital Foundry to realise how bad it was, so the devs only apologized to PC gamers, the ones who already had a Frame Generation mod to double your framerate on 4000 series, and others fixes for each one of the issues the game had. It's crazy, but, what ever. Going back to the temperature problem in FF XVI, a lot of people teach others how to make the warning message not appear, because the console can work anyways, but it's risky. You're basically putting your console in danger, and, at the very least, degrading it extremely fast. If you don't see it, it doesn't mean the problem is not there, and that is why some people lose their PS5 because of this game. So, to sum up my points here are: ALMOST NO ONE cleans their PS5 as long as they should, AND, even if they do, they'll probably experience these issues anyways, so you can blame either the console, or the games (specially those with temperature problems while using vrr mode), but we shouldn't blame people for the issue being there. If you are lucky, got an older version of the PS5 with better temperatures, good for you. My cousing wasn't as lucky as you, and even with ac turned on, he can't find a way to fix it, so he played the game at 30 fps, which gives him motion sickness and he has to take pauses. He knows so much about PCs and consoles than I'm sure he tested and tried everything before giving up, so I don't like it when people put the blame on the user.

There is a difference. Barely noticeable, but the PS5 version has sharper graphics to the textures on Kratos and the surrounding environments. There a small blue effect on the PS4 version. Nevertheless, PS4 still looks incredible.

i played it on 60fps on modded ps4 just had lower res to 1080p from like 1440 or something
Human eye can identify movement on 12 fps, it can identify smooth movement from 24 frames and up, from 30 and up it can't tell the difference with the naked eye.

Just bought PS5 few days ago. At first, the graphic looks amazing and mesmerizing. But once I got immersed to the game I aint see any graphic nor reallu appericate it tbh. I just play the game and just focus on the game itself.

Contrary to popular belief, you can acumulate a lot of dust for 15 years, and your temperature will not kill your perfomance if your cooling is good, because fans are huge in comparison to what you see on laptop or consoles. They don't get stucked. How ever, thermal compound matters a lot. They can last from 2 to 10 years, so, you can get some Argic MX - 6 (pretty cheap for how good it is), and that will last you at the very least 8 years, acording to Artic (easy to believe that), and then you can NOT clean your platform for an entire generation, even tho people tend to believe that you have to clean your PC every couple months. No, you can do after 8 or 9 years, and it's quick. Everything will be great, and if your cooling is good, your temperature will never even go over 65°F.
How often should you clean a console? Well, the "starting" temperature is already to high. We are talking about up to 95°F being "normal", because the materials and cooling are not the best, and of course, coolers are so small, so you don't have a lot to work with here. The answer is obvious: it should ALWAYS be as clean as possible, so you should clean it every couple months.
Now, the thing is, even if you have a clean PS5, your target temperature is already so bad that the console is just not ready to be at 100% for long periods of times. How can you avoid this? With fps caps. 30 fps cap when the console can give you around 35 fps in that title. 60 fps caps when it can give you around 70 fps, and it will only be at 100% in some places, during framedrops, right? But the thing is, Final Fantasy XVI has a 60 fps cap, but it's so often not reaching that desired target framerate during tarversal that the console is at 100% most of the time. You can have this problem, no matter how clean your console is, unless you own an older version of a PS5. It's either a GPU or CPU bottleneck. My best guess is GPU, since starting a battle in perfomance mode drops your resolution to native 720p upscaled to 1440p using FSR 1. I don't know why they don't use 2.2, and target at least 1080p, because 720p FSR 1 makes the game look way to blurry, but what ever. This is something that ALWAYS happens, during THE ENTIRE BATTLE, so if you want to explore at 60 fps in this game, you should make an enemy chase you while you do it, and you'll always be at 720p 60 fps. It makes sense it's the GPU. What can you do about it? You can NOT play on Performance Mode, or, wait for PC port to play it how ever you want, but, because this game runs poorly on the PS5, it will probably be considered a bad PC port. Same thing happened to gsmes like Wild Hearts, Forspoken, Jedi Survivor, Redfall, etc. With the exception of The Last Of Us Part 1, bad PC ports usually have the same problems on consoles. Look at Jedi Survivor, for example. People and reviewers didn't even mention the issues on consoles, and you had to watch Digital Foundry to realise how bad it was, so the devs only apologized to PC gamers, the ones who already had a Frame Generation mod to double your framerate on 4000 series, and others fixes for each one of the issues the game had. It's crazy, but, what ever. Going back to the temperature problem in FF XVI, a lot of people teach others how to make the warning message not appear, because the console can work anyways, but it's risky. You're basically putting your console in danger, and, at the very least, degrading it extremely fast. If you don't see it, it doesn't mean the problem is not there, and that is why some people lose their PS5 because of this game.

So, to sum up my points here are: ALMOST NO ONE cleans their PS5 as long as they should, AND, even if they do, they'll probably experience these issues anyways, so you can blame either the console, or the games (specially those with temperature problems while using vrr mode), but we shouldn't blame people for the issue being there. If you are lucky, got an older version of the PS5 with better temperatures, good for you. My cousing wasn't as lucky as you, and even with ac turned on, he can't find a way to fix it, so he played the game at 30 fps, which gives him motion sickness and he has to take pauses. He knows so much about PCs and consoles than I'm sure he tested and tried everything before giving up, so I don't like it when people put the blame on the user.

There is a difference. Barely noticeable, but the PS5 version has sharper graphics to the textures on Kratos and the surrounding environments. There a small blue effect on the PS4 version. Nevertheless, PS4 still looks incredible.

Vamos ver até os últimos jogos lançados pro ps5 pra ver se eles vão conseguir extrair 100% do ps5 e realmente tirar gráficos de longe superior. Atualmente para grafico e fps o pc reina muito.
