Thanks for thinking of me. So far the weather reports keep saying hurricane Milton should pass just south of us. I'm on pretty high ground for Florida so wind and water are what I expect.
Good luck. I tried something similar with one of my long beds and when I turned over the soil 2 years ago some how roots from a near by oak tree had found a way to get in anyway. But it does work for a while to keep out really big roots so that is a win!!

Tree roots are so much work. I just dug a trench around my raised beds to keep out roots from a maple tree.
