I am new to air plants and decided to put them in the window over my kitchen sink. I’m hoping steam from when I run water will be beneficial. As for their care, there are so many different opinions. Mist or soak? Mist once a week or 3x a week or every day? Soak weekly or monthly? Right now I’m misting lightly every day, heavily once a week, and soaking every 2 weeks.
Awesome tips especially for me I’m a new mama for a new Air plants care hope they grow healthy and stay foreverrr... 🥰😊 Thank you for this beautiful and very informative about Cute and adorable Air plants! 😍😘❤️🧘♀️
I have both mine in beautiful glass globes, so glad I heard you say that wasn’t good for airplanes. TY for explaining the water soaking on air plant with a bud, cause I was soaking the whole plant!!
You say they should be soaked for hours, but how do you do that with huge wall frames or glued on big grapwood pieces or trees etc? Is it ok to just spray with hose like you do the frames?
once you remove the pups from the mother plant do you throw th mother plant away because it will die, or will it keep producing more pups before it actually dies?
Very cool guys!!! Thank you both, Maria and Airplantman, this is sooo helpful, you guys are really great! I'm soo happy that you started this channel Maria, cheers!!! :)
The hardness of tap water varies from place to place. Take the place where I live as an example. The tap water in some cities within 200 kilometers is almost pure water, while some actually reach 300 mg per liter. I want to know the upper limit of hardness that can be used to soak air pineapples, thank you.
Do you have a video showing how to make the plant frame with tillies. I live in Perth west Australia, and haven’t seen this done and would love to make one. Thanks.
I love this video. I’ve been wanting to try air plants for so long but didn’t know much about them. Thanks for all of the info. ALSO, I must know where you got those amazing earrings. I love them! I need them!
is it safe to grow the guamanian bromeliad without soil or a tree bark potting mix? I have one and I would like to remove it from the nursery soil and grow it in the way that you are growing your airplants; without soil, just hanging in the air.
No its not a good idea they use their roots and need them in bark or potting mix at best they wont be happy and wont bloom and at worst theyll dry up and die especially if ur environment isnt humid
@@HannahTheBossy thank you. Mine had already bloomed when I bought it and it did dry up in die, but I did get two pups out of it. Now I need to figure out the best way to propagate them so that they can flourish.
never thought air plants were all that difficult to grow o.o' just stick the babies in jars of water to form the root systems and leave em in front of a sunny window o.o' and if you want to propagate em grow em up to size and stick em in a cramped container, they'll immediately start producing assloads of flowers that turn into little plants i know o.o' within the matter of just this spring my 2 plants have turned into 42 o.o' its almost getting to be too much and they are still producing strong o.o' no letting up any time soon
Ok good and easy info. Just got so many ideas for Do's and Don'ts can't wait to place my air plants ready to go
