Oh, dude! From one toolmaker to another, that's the finest all-in-one package I've seen. You're an innovator that doesn't stop creating new designs. Well done!
I've cut and split my own firewood for years, here's what I think for what its worth. For someone who is not selling or selling and doesn't have the bigger processors, this looks like a great machine. I like the vertical with the table, round lifter is sweet, looks well built and solid. I give two thumbs up.
That splitter is pretty wicked looking. Finished out really nicely with the new paint job. It still blows my mind that you guys just created a whole new splitter out of thin air and made it all come together so nicely. Excellent work
I love that you control all the pieces when the splitter off the machine. 8 days ago were splitting wood and the 80lbs piece come off the wedge hit the ground rolled and smashed the big toe. Nothing that a bit or ice, rest and elevation can't take of. with this machine I can see total control of the wood. not too shabby!
Glad to hear Jerry is doing well !!! Nice to see your back at it . The Axis is a super nice machine , Powerful splitting ability ,MEGA log lift and lightning fast cycle time should easily take the lead in that market . Happy to see the project come to life . Great well thought out product !
Gerry your truck driver had it? Glad to hear he’s on the road to recovery and will soon be on the road delivering the fine Eastonmade products you make.
Awsome machine Sir! Jimm and I could use that down here for sure!! That can definitely be a one man operation 💪. We have a heck of a time finding good help..
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters He sure is. He delivered my 22-28. Would have liked to spent more time hanging out with him but the weather had put his deliveries behind and he needed to get back on the road.
Another quality built splitter from Eastonmade. It would be interesting to see a side by side comparison between this splitter and say a 12-22 with a box wedge and auto retract. Or the comparable horizontal splittler in the Eastonmade line.
I use a splitter that runs off my tractor on the three point hitch. I can adjust the work position as required. This is my tenth year with this splitter. It also splits in both directions.
glad gerrymandering and everyone else is ok. I myself had it along with 65 others at our facility here in NY. Great machine . be safe and see ya on the next 1
That machine is by far the coolest machine I have seen in many a year well done to the designer and producer thank you can I have more Information please
What is your link for these splitters ? Very nice machine and looking into a purchase in the near future .. thanks for the demonstration.. oh and buckin Billy sent me from his channel.. nice machine !
One thing I’ve noticed on almost every log splitter is the splitting anvils aren’t tall enough and they don’t cut all the way through. On your vertical why don’t you put a slit in the bottom frame to allow the wedge to go further?
Any idea on how many cords the pile is ? Tight stacked tandem log truck here runs around 6 cords finished firewood.....just curious if you think similar there.
That wouldn't be a bad idea. These guys normally let the wood dry out for the summer and then bring it to the house in the fall. Really no need to handle it an extra time. Really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to watch the video and leave some feedback. Its very much appreciated
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters And to clarify, that wasnt criticism, I am just hyperactive like BBR, cant stand still for any length of time. I was scheduled to come visit Ottowa before covid, if the border ever opens I'd like to come see you guys and buy the factory a round of Timmy's.
Nice splitter wish I had one. The only thing that I can see to improve on it is to move the conveyor closer to the splitter. the operator is having to reach or have a second guy load the conveyor with the split pieces. Other than that nice looking machine keep up the good work.
Thanks Michael. I agree with you. Would love to be able to move the conveyor a little closer. The only issue we run into is the balance of the machine with the conveyor hanging off the end of it. Really appreciate the feedback and suppot
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters To balance the machine adjust the position of the wheels, left or right. Give the operator more control of the lift. Higher and slanted would make wood easier to pull. Lower and flat on the ground would make the lift easier to load. If there were a platform flat on the ground the operator could kick some wood onto it (not bend over). Perhaps the lift could be closer to the wedge for a more handy wood supply. I don't know why the lift is so far from the wedge. The lift could have a longer upper part and a longer lower part, not necessarily 90 degree (maybe 120°). To load the lift the wood could be a jumble, as from a skidsteer, with the idea that the wood will be rectified after being lifted. This idea is supportive of my idea for lift modifications. I saw Buckin Billy today on UA-cam with your splitter. He never split two pieces or three pieces at one time. He never showed the foot pedal, but he did mention it later. I think he liked the machine. I don't look at splitters much, but yours is the first one that I saw with the vertical axis and at a good working height.
I see now that having the bench to the right allows the splitter to continue while the lift is being reloaded. I know that balance is required for both operation and transport, but I don't know what the problem is.
Doesn’t seem that the 4-way improves the speed enough, if at all, to offset the increased risk and decreased controllability of size. Size controllability seems to be the main reason to buy this, with the added advantage of no scraps. Just an observation.
With 4 guys, it looks like you could have run 2 machines. 2 guys / machine looks the most efficient. The guy backing the axis up needs to look for a new job, backing isn’t his forte, no disrespect intended. The truth can be tough some times.
Good to see the children playing.
Always good to see a fantastic family.
Thanks steve. Really appreciate the feedback and support!!!
Awesome! At 68 years of age my back wishes I had one of those splitters, especially since my spinal fusion in 2018.

7 or 8 bush cord normally

It looks like the wedge height is adjustable. They had excessive clearance above the wood that wasted much time. Am I right?
How bout a nice led light bar on top to split when it’s cooler in the dark.
We can do that if you order it with electric start
Eastonmade Wood Splitters love that splitter but way way outa my price range just know it would look awesome with lights.
Its funny when the guy in the white shirt did not move his hand with that spinning conveyor belt....ouch that would hurt!
