I really loved this. The best analysis of Vivaldi's music ive found on UA-cam. I really hope you do more in the future, if not Vivaldi then any other of the great baroque composers out there. There is such little attention paid to their music compared to that of the classical/romantic/modern eras, I guess people might think that all baroque/early music recycles the same formulas (partly true given how they had to crank out music like a factory), but there was clearly so much genius innovation that modern audiences would appreciate learning about if they are given the opportunity. And I like that you do long-form videos, not enough of those on UA-cam for music theory.
Hi Kevin. Thank you very much for this fantastic music theory lesson on Vivaldi’s winter. It is truly outstanding. I don’t have enough words to describe how much I enjoyed this 2 part video series. I watched one after the other and I cannot get enough of it. I’ll have to re-watch it again and again! Vivaldi was an amazing composer, and you are also an amazing teacher. You are really a hidden gem on UA-cam. I wish I would have discovered you sooner and I hope more people will also in the near future. You deserve the recognition. It doesn’t look like you did the other seasons, yet… I hope someday you will make videos about them. In the meantime I will check out more tutorials and some of your music on your channel. All the best.
Thank you so much for this comment, Dirk! It really means a lot to me. I would love to do videos on the other Seasons - thanks for reminding me! Merry Christmas and all the best to you.
@@KevinElamMusic Hi Kevin! It is very nice getting a message from you. I watched a some more videos on your channel… Wow, you have a variety of musical genres/styles that interest you. That is amazing. There is something I can learn from all of them. It would be great if you could do the other seasons and some more baroque/classical pieces in the future. I really look forward to it! A merry Christmas to you too, and may you have a happy new year, filled with lots of great music and all the wonderful things life has to offer!

Thank you so much for the comment. I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. I definitely plan to do some more in-depth Baroque analysis videos soon!

The "Is it in four or three" at the beginning of the 3rd movement is fun.
Kevin, the chord sequence in the Largo .. could you tell me what it is ? In simple terms, what it is ?
unfortunately, it's too complex to just give a quick answer. I think your best bet is to watch the video.
