Great tutorial-structured, organized, easy to understand, and of high quality. I'm really glad that UA-cam recommended your channel to me, and I look forward to all the content you'll create in the future.
Great idea the using of the procedural deform curve technique in this context to move the array of the track on the curve 🙂 This could let to use not only the classic instances but also strange and semi-organic shape made along the X direction (maybe with also deforming with displacement modifiers on it) and then deformed on the curve shape of the track. Very good the style you used to show the concept of the tutorial, clean and clever, i imagine the work behind, bravo! 💪
Hello buddy, how are you? My name is Lakhwinder Singh. Thank you so much for the wonderful video, I love it. Thank you so much for putting in the effort and valuable time in this video. I have so many questions in my mind. It's really helpful for me if you answer, thank you. 1) How many years have you been using Blender? 2) How many software are you using for commercial projects, like Blender and DaVinci Resolve, etc.? 3) I want to learn to reach a level like yours. Any tips for me? I learn every day or night. I follow Crossmind Studio tutorial videos, like the Geonodes series. How can I learn this at an advanced level? 4) How did you begin your journey? 5) Should I learn Houdini 20.5? 6) Waiting for your masterpiece video. Thank you! Love from India.
Cool tutorial. But to not have the stylized tracks looking crazy deformed on arches, you'll need to offset the resulting curve and \ or the tracks mesh. Or just use very thin tracks.
Yep, in this case u need to scale the wheels down or just try to hide this deformation effect by adjusting the track position. It just has to look good enough 🐻
Very cool effect! I'm curious why you have to can't use the tangent node and align rotation to vector node to align the tread in the way you want. Also, a neat little tip, you can type "tau" instead of 2*pi :)
Not sure if I got it correctly... But we're talking about the track movement direction, correct? The direction of the curve (tangent) is a bit random, that's why we needed to force it to point one direction.
@@aastonmartin6025 of course we can 😁 I think we could do calculate the nearest cylinder instance and create an arm between them and do it iteratively. Also, if we want to have more advanced setup, we could do a repeat zone and do some math, capture some attributes and get moving gears, etc.
yo this is sick! def keep going! id say just ditch the AI voice and use your real one! it'd add a lot more humanity to this vid and make it feel more engaging.
minor complaint is that you go a bit too fast sometimes and it can be hard to follow. also would be nice to see screencast keys (I know this isn't for beginners but I'm no expert at blender)
@@YipJason yeah that's true. Some of the parts are sped up to 500% in this video. But I got a lesson and in the video I've just posted I don't move the nodes like crazy.

how about making track without geometry node? i have model tank and im get confuse to make track move the right way using evaluate time in curve, if you want discus this, i can give my project file to your investigate, also i can give the video what a problm in my tank rig, you can post the rig with my tank model for free for everyone, also i want upload to in sketchfab for free if the rig done
You can download the blend files here 😁

Absolutely love the detailed explanation with the visuals. It makes this quite simple (but still needed a bit of time to process it 😅)
Keep it up 💪

Thanks 😊
Terrific tutorial! So smart and the video is really well made! Subscribed!
@@greentokyo Thx! I've just posted another one, actually it's this custom curve modifier we used here but explained more deeply.
You could use a cross product node to get the perpendicular vector to the normal and tangent vectors of the curve.
True, just wanted to explain the rotate vector node as it's quite confusing at the first sight.

Why does your accent change at around 3:00?
My mic sucks, I used AI tool for the voice. In my latest vid you can hear my voice, hope it's not irritating
Can it turn left to right?
