Slow TV: A Winter Day at Bowleaze Cove
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 лют 2024
- Join me for a while on the beach at Bowleaze Cove on a, cold, grey, damp and windy winter day.
Slow TV isn't for everyone - nothing is scripted here - no narration or music - nothing much happens, and certainly not on purpose, but that's OK - there are no sudden loud noises in this video and no midroll ads. Mostly you will just hear the wind and the breaking of the waves. I'd have stayed for longer, but my fingers started to get numb from the cold...
Bowleaze Cove is near Weymouth, Dorset (UK).

Am I the only one that saw a bunch of Guinea pigs laying on the beach in the thumb nail lol
You could have a 24/7 Twitch channel with these incredible images and sounds. I'm enthralled and I live 8 miles from the beach. Nice work!🤙🏼
Yes!
Quite the juxtaposition: enjoying the natural tranquility of this precious earth _in cyberspace._
To the Sea, to the Sea! The white gulls are crying,
The wind is blowing, and the white foam is flying.
I must go down to the sea again,
To the lonely sea and the sky,
I left my vest and socks there,
I wonder if they’re dry
Lovely, this healed a little wound in my soul today. Love Dorset and my Dad used to bring me here in the 80's for days out
Well, the Shrimp is at home near the sea so I hear.🤣
Thank you for taking us along on your walk on the beach. 😀 Our beaches here in Western Australia are very different, and we are going through a heatwave that isn't finished yet, but I don't get down to the beach anymore. It is a little too difficult for me, so I appreciated seeing the beach you visited. All the best.
1 second in and i can tell im gonna like this one, very reminiscent of Lake Michigan in November
I'm jealous of the pretty rocks you have on the Michigan shore
It did actually sound like that wonble board they use in theatres at one stage! How strange. I was half expecting to see a little foot or set of toes washed by the waves but happy to see the pebbles get a quick wash-over. Very nice views for us land-locked peeps.
Beautiful, relaxing, and, thanks to those dark cliffs in the distance, and the grey, lowering sky, ever so slightly menacing, too. I love stuff like this - the sight of a place that at some times, will be full of people, enjoying the beach, now empty, and quiet, save for the sounds of sea and wind, and the occasional wheeling seabird. I could sit there all day, and be quite content. At times, it feels that movie credits are about to pop up, announcing it to be a film by Ingmar Bergman, or the like.
Thank you for sharing.
I will watch that now for breakfast and after that „watch“(more of a listen) when I go to sleep the next days.
Thank you!
Some inspired photography there Mr Shrimp! Yet another gripping video. I love 'em, such a good, wholesome variety. Thank you.
I could literally feel the moisture on my face. The atmosphere is incredible!
That's your other half, flicking you with water....😉
"literally"? Were you watching this in the shower?
Folks confuse literally with virtually.
Thank you for this, sound and vision were so relaxing and your composition of shots just made the most of the atmosphere. I appreciate it so much as I’m about as far as you can be from the sea in the UK.
You have no idea how much these slow vids help my weekend anxiety, thanks Mike.
going to loop this when my next bout of no sleep comes up. So relaxing.
Thank you, haven’t been to a beach in 25 years
Such amazing scenery.
That's my Saturday evening sorted out 👍
I really miss the sound of waves, I met my boyfriend, both living in Cornwall at the time in 1988 & now my husband. who is a true Cornish man,now living in London, which I dislike ,because I miss the sound of the sea 🌊 😊Thanks Atomic shrimp 🦐🤗
A perfect start to the weekend after a stressful Friday. Thank you.
Brings back childhood memories of visits to the North Sea shore - or West Sea (Vesterhavet) as we call it in Denmark. Thanks, Mike!
Just about to go out and shovel snow, can’t wait to come back and relax with this. Thanks,
Thank you so much just what I needed to relax
Definitely could listen to that for hours!
I grew up on the other side of all that water. The beaches and the sounds are so alike - except where are the seagulls?
It's good to step back from the hectic pace of modern life. I recently spent two months in a cottage with no television or internet while I completed my latest novel.
I'm a very slow reader.
Could sit there all day, just listening and watching. Stuck in a huge, bustling, noisy city right now, so thank you - I need this x
I woke up with a pretty bad headache today and now three of my favourite channels to help calm headaches have uploaded around the same time. I find with headaches if I don't completely get rid of it as soon as possible then it just gets worse again and lasts for the rest of the day no matter what I do. I'm already feeling better now but I'd rather make sure it's gone before I do anything today.
Also to anyone interested the other two channels I was referring to are Posy and Grand Illusions.
Thank you for this video. Going through some stuff at the moment. Much needed.
Always look forward to your slow TV and walking/exploring videos. 😊
This is so very calming & nurturing! When I experience the ocean I feel at peace. Thank you for sharing those moments with us.
Wow what an amazing video! I've been ceaving a beach walk so mucha nd due to using a walking frame its really difficult to use on the beach. The sound of the sea the fizzing sound of the crests of the waves on the sand and watching it swirl about has a soothing feeling I have missed. Then the para boarding on top to watch just a fantastic video to watch. Beach.walks always sooth the brain. just wished it was longer
Beautiful creation ❤
one of your best slow tv's ever!
The sound of English pebble beaches is so totally different to Aussie sand beaches. I live near the 90 Mile Beach in Victoria, Australia and the sound of water on sand is quite different. Visited Brighton, England 12 years ago and was fascinated by the difference.
So beautiful, amazing colours and very peaceful.
Actually was relaxing after a horrible day.
Ahh, I missed these sights and sounds, thank you.
Only thing it needs is some U.S.-east-coast seagull sounds.
I haven't watched all your Slow TV vids, and only just at the start this one. I love them, because I born in Dorchester until I was 19 and my family live in Weymouth and Bridport. So they really nostalgic for me. Anyway, my question is. Have you been to the Jailhouse Cafe at, HMP Verne, on Portland? If you haven't, you really should. The views over Weymouth Bay are incredible
We used to holiday in Weymouth year after year when me and my brothers were kids. My dad would drive and I remember my mum reading the directions the first time we went. We used to stop at Littlesea holiday park. Such fond memories of this place... but I'm sad to say I was shocked at how things had changed after revisiting as an adult years later. Places like this wont ever change, but the town had become a bit grotty. The same can be said for my home city though, it's happening everywhere 😢 Bowleaze Cove and Durdle Door were my favorite places here.
Love this. As someone who grew up in a seaside town I always find it calming and home like to see and hear the waves crashing in. I now live inland a little so miss this even more 😊
Thanks Mike, that was so calming and relaxing. Such a beautiful place. Looked like a good day for the wind surfers as well.
It was so nice just to be in the moment, not to wait on what's next, what is going to happen, what's the point, where is the ending,,,,,, very beautiful.
Thank you so much I really needed this, watching during lunch break at work to help reset the brain and get through the rest of the day.
So lovely and peaceful. Put this on repeat for eight hours and you'll have the perfect ASMR for folks to doze to 💤
Absolutely lovely. The sound of the sea is so good for the soul. Thank you.
I love this video ❤ It's very calming. 😊 thank you
You jammy sod. Dorset is my favourite place in the World. I'll be there soon, when the sun comes back.
Thanks shrimp another great video ❤
Oh perfect, just as my toast is ready.
I couldn't sleep
So calming and relaxing.
29 videos in this play list and all of them are bangers.
Thank you, this was perfect 😍
What a wonderful beach! I love this video. This beach bum is missing walks along a beach on a winters day.
That reminds me very much of a day spent on the Pacific coast, in Oregon, the day after a major storm.
The bubbles popping after 4:30 looked like the simulation was having trouble rendering them properly! 😆
Wonderful
Thank you for this.
This was soo much pleasure I am saving this to my faves to play for anti anxiety ASMR
Your slow video on seashore waves is wonderful . I wish it could be a long video for getting to sleep.
Marvellous, just wonderful.
Love this reminds me of home on the Isle of Man. Thanks
good sleep sounds here.
Thank you its so relaxing, thanks again
I love it!
Bowel Ease Cove is a hilarious name
Watching at x2 speed to relax even faster.
I love these videos! 😊
Hello, A.S. The lapping waves reminded me of a question I wanted to ask: have you ever cooked for us a typical English/British fish dinner? I would love to see how you prepare fish and what side dishes you would serve.
Would someone please explain how to loop a video. Because I need about 3 hours of this.
Wonderful to see another of your "slow tv" videos! The amazing thing is how clean it is, did you send them on ahead to remove the litter?
When I see this I am glad I'm at home 😉
If Eva's not in the video I am fast forwarding it!
I confess, I played it at double speed Mike... 😊
The only issue I have with the beach is the sand. It gets everywhere?!
SO pretty.
Good morning
I am so glad I don't live near the ocean. All that water is unnerving.
Anyone else get the intro to Final Fantasy 8 start playing in their head at around the 1:33 mark?
Time to buy a car. I need the sea and I want to go fishing.
How long until those houses at the end of your film are swallowed up by the sea ??
Nice video - but a snapshot of how british beaches are so grim.
Give me the maldives anyday! 🤣
To each their own. I'd take an interesting pebbly beach over sand every time.
@@AtomicShrimp Stones hurt.... :D
Not grim so much as... quiet. Just flat flat and quiet
@@grantmorriss2557but not so much when they are sort of small and rounded.
Me to, I love rocks, they are ancient, so full of interesting history.
Looks flinty.
Where is this cove?
Near Weymouth, Dorset, England

They that go down to the sea in ships, and occupy their business in great waters; These men see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. For at his word the stormy wind ariseth, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They are carried up to the heaven, and down again to the deep. Psalm 107
I don't know where to put this, so I'm putting it here....
Some folks are WAY TOO INVESTED in YT personalities. To the point where it's cult behavior and mentality. Dont say anything against their YT'er, but make sure you hate all the people they hate. It's gotten really ridiculous in some circles. And yes, sometimes I troll them and poke the bear for fun. But recently, it all seems even more dumb and pointless. Are we all put here on Earth to argue about strangers with strangers on the internet? What's the point of it all? You and your channel aren't like this at all, which I'm grateful for. Guess it's time to log off and go touch grass. Maybe go to the beach. Idk....
