Hi, great vid I wanna say. I have a 1993 bike, seems really the same bike as you have. Do I buy all the same things? I'd guess so, but I wanna be sure. Thank bruder
This depends on the manufacturer of the product. For the display you can find it on the product page or test it with a 12v battery. For the gear position sensor you can use a multimeter and check every pin for continuity to ground when putting it through the gears. For my display it was: 1 Red, N Black, 2 Blue, 3 Green, 4 White, 5 Yellow, 6 Brown. For the gear sensor I'm not sure anymore
Hi, do you have more information about the extra wire from the Indicator itself? I ordered from aliexpress too, i'm trying to install it onto my GS500F 2006. I got that the blue wire under the seat is for neutral/killswitch stand, but the other OEM connector, red wire has direct power, but the green wire with black line is for what? Thank you if you can help me by providing bit more info!!
Hi! My 1997 GS500 only has the blue OEM wire under the seat, no red/black or green/black wire. I just Googled a 2006 GS500F wiring diagram and it looks like the newer models GS500s got 2 extra wires coming from the neutral switch which are connected to the igniter. What you can do is check which wires on the AliExpress gear position sensor are connected to the first 2 bigger pins, to the right/top of the neutral pin (the only small pin) with a multimeter. It's kinda hard to explain without showing you, but you'll know which pins I mean when you take your OEM neutral sensor and have it side by side with the Aliexpress one. Check which red/black green/black wire goes to which pin on the OEM neutral sensor. Then cut the OEM red/black green/black connector off and solder it to the corresponding wires on the Aliexpress sensor. Should work that way. Hope this helps!
