You can’t make a video about that era of Rangers dominance and not even mention Mark Hateley one of Rangers key players during that period.
As a Celt i’d say Rangers 20-30 years ago would get out of the champions league groups comfortably these days as theres so little quality in football. Teams are just coached not to lose and pass amongst the centre backs and keepers.
They never got out their CL groups back then. 😂
@@aidanlynn that’s because football was harder back then. 20 years ago there was hundreds of world class players spread across hundreds of teams. Even Celtic and rangers had world class players, now there is hardly any genuine world class players and they are only at a select few clubs.

It would have been nice to hear how each of these teams did in the Champion's League to know how they stacked up with other top Euro teams.

Learn what EBTs are first. Rangers paid Wages then EBTs AS WELL AS those wages.

Got embarrassed in Europe regularly and cheated financially. Most overrated period of dominance of any Scottish side and it eventually led to death of the club.
You forget to add their European achievement(s). It's odd to leave it out while talking about the "Prime" of a football club.
Domestically we were really good .. European football massively disappointing if we are honest except for the 92 /93 season when we were unbeatable
The old Rangers cheated to get there...the price? Liquidated. Sevco utterly humiliated at every turn now.
97-98 Rangers had Laudrup, Gazza, Gattuso and Marco Negri having an absolutely bananas season. That was a great side.
Gazza was overweight and unfit that season. Too much boozing over the years.
@@johnmitchell2269 There was still uproar when Hoddle didn’t take him to the World Cup. He was still Gazza. But yeah 96-97 was probably the last great Gazza season.
@@SonnyK248 Not taking Gazza to the 98 world cup was the correct decision. One of Gazza's best mates Ally McCoist said he was poor in his final season at Rangers (97/98). Prime Gazza was 89 to 94.
Regularly hammered in Europe, so the answer is: not very.
Spent all that money just to stay one step ahead of Celtic, who lived within their means and built a sustainable business model. Short term gain to try keep up with the biggest team in Scotland only to go bust and liquidate a few years later.
