Great video Adam. Very direct and too the point with close ups and NO MUSIC. Great detailed explanation on what you cant easily see so basically anyone can do it. Bonus that my washer was the exact model as yours. Liked the detail showing the plastic hooks on the timer. I probably would have tried to bull it out
It's really great that there are guys like you on the Internet. I started without looking for a video like this first, and after taking off a few knobs and removing a few screws that I didn't have to in the end, and still couldn't budge the cover, I decided to look and found your video. Fabulous explanation. The only minor sticking point for me was a white relay/power control box that was attached to the timer and needed to be moved to the other timer. I didn't want to muscle it too much, given what I had seen up to that point, but it seemed that it just required some wiggling in the right direction to get it loose. Looking back at your video, I see the box at 2:31, but I don't think you show removing it. Thanks again!
Adam, big thank you for posting this up. Parts diagram shows these clips but I couldn't figure out how to get that front panel off. Your video saved me a bunch of time. Thank you for posting this online bud.
Great video. I think you can pop the knob off from the back side of the timer by prying up the small tab in the center. Then when you but the knob back on you push the tab down to resecure the knob.
I'll be taking apart my washer tomorrow when I have time, just as practice. Thanks for the video.
THANK YOU!!!!!!This video really helped me figure out what I needed to do to replace the timer!!!
You're awesome, Thank you sir. I appreciate you!
Excellent instructions. Thank you!
Thank you, my timer module came loose somehow. This helped me take off the top and get those black bracket slides back into place.
Excellent explanation and description of the process, thanks!!
Thank you so much for this! 🙏🏻😊
Very helpful, having yours prepped. Thanks
Great video
So because one of those two puny white tabs broke off when pulling the knob out to start a new cycle... I'm going to have to replace a three-figure timer unit. Effiing PERFECT.
Hi Adam!? Your video is so helpful, I couldn't find these instructions anywhere else online! I have replaced the timer, but now the washer won't fill! It had just filled before I replaced the timer now it is not filling. Can you help? Thank you!
Clear and great explanation.
Thanks for such a wonderfully detailed guide. Only I'm having a heck of a time getting the knob off. Popped top easily, but squeezing those little white pieces is near impossible. Any suggestions? Went and got a smaller needlenose pliers and it's not helped.
+Theresa Tyagi Kersten You need a spike more than you need pliers. Spike the center and push down wile pulling up on the knob. If you do, the two higher plastic pieces will move together by themselves and release the knob.
+AdamDIY Thanks for the reply, I'll give that a try. I have a number of tools that could be a spike.Theresa
Even a nail will work.
+AdamDIY I used my smallest Phillips screwdriver and it worked it 20 seconds. Thank you! Onto replacing the timer! Theresa

Of course, now I have to get the timer off, that's more difficult than it looks.
Hi Adam, would replacing the timer help with my problem? The machine will fill with water but will not agitate, drain, or spin. It just makes a buzzing sound instead. I also have a Maytag Centennial MVWC300VW0. Thanks!
During a recent move the stems that hold the knobs on both my washer and dryer. Part of the stem is in the knob, and the other half is in the control panel of the machines. Is this issue a DIY fix, and if so how? I will appreciate any information or advice you can share.
washer when first start will start to agitate while filling ...but it's supposed to fill first .... than when washer is done and stops it will start start filling a little and stop so clothes are wet .. it should just stop... do I need a timer or a Agitation delay circuit board ? help please
Having same problem...
@@johnnyblazse Same issue here as well!
I had same problem but checked out 2nd video that showed how to repair the timer. It was easy. Just used a nail file to clean off some leaf switch contacts. Great video
can you re-use the white electronic control on the timer
+TORO LOCO Yes
how to replace pin that washer load level knob sits on?
what ever you do don't get parts from sears got a timer and the agitate delay both parts are damaged and they look used.. thought I could save money but nope back to repair clinic for parts
Ok, at 2 min. 10 secs, you mention a little piece of plastic to release the timer. Could you elaborate a little more on that? Got
everything else apart.
