- After too many hours editing I've finally finished the video! Filmed over a 2 year period of the 2016 and 2017 banger racing season. I hope you enjoy!

My dad and his best friend used to race bangers. His friend still does, but my dad retired from his racing days. It was great fun to watch, but was so so scary because I knew that with everytime his car got towed off he could be seriously hurt, and that felt like the longest wait ever finding out if he was okay. My dad did some amazing racing. I was so proud of him, and now of his friend.
Hi , l was going to ask if people were injured. From you answer l guess your dad did get injured from time to time. l'm not surprised. Some of the smashes are pretty violent and some seem to be on the personnal side! As l restore cars l do cringe at some of the cars getting totalled. Thanks for your input.

Great video. But I'm kind of nonplussed about the whole thing. Is there a goal in mind in these races or are they just about going in a circle on mud till you find someone you want to smash into and then have at it? Seriously, it looks like they are not only not trying to avoid the other drives, but they are actually aiming at them. Some of those crashes are horrific, there's no way someone walked out of some of them.
Thanks mate. The races usually have 15 laps, it's up to the drivers whether they want to race for the win or just have a crash. Many drivers prefer the rush of crashing or taking out an opposing driver, there are many injuries but luckily they are rarely serious.
