And also maybe hiring someone to come to your house once a week to clean for you. Maybe you can try and implement these suggested changes and see how it goes ( I am not imposing them on you I am trying to help ☺).
agree, please do not quit your stable job... I do not work in content creation but I do television, film and commercials. It comes with it's own challenges. Make this your side hustle, plan the content you would like to do for your channel. Take it a day at a time, rest when you need to...
Advise from one content creator, UA-camr and person who has a 9-5: - plan, plan and plan - have dedicated days for each role you must play. - also set time aside for breaks and breathers so you don’t feel overwhelmed Iv recently started to get the hang of things and implementing a routine that works for me e.g. - I set editing hours during the week (20:00-22:00) - I now plan the type of videos I make for my channel so shooting becomes easier cause I have some sort of concept/idea of type of footage I want in my videos. Editing also becomes easier - I do my 9-5 during my working hours (don’t have a choice 🤣) I love UA-cam content creation so it’s fun and it’s my outlet from my 9-5 Hope the above helps ❤️

I know exactly what you’re going through. I recently went through this. I went from living at home and being a student, then graduated and moved to JHB and started working a 9-5. It was a tough transition because I am trying to balance work, my side hair business hustle and content creation. I lost out and said no to so many campaigns. However, I think in the times we live in security is the safest option. Maybe try to rest and not pressure yourself into doing too much at the same time. Try to upload once a week, film sit down videos during the week or instead of always posting vlogs, try to film in bulk so that the following week you don’t have to upload and you just upload the other videos to have. You also don’t need to pressure yourself into uploading every single week. You’re a human being and as your subscribers, we understand how life is. If you need to, take a break. I took one for 6 months and I don’t regret it. I’m not saying take one as long as me, but it is necessary to do so otherwise you will crack. Take care of yourself and your mental health. Don’t let doing too much at the same time affect your way of life. Also don’t be too quick to make any life changing decision that you may later regret. All the best and I hope you eventually find your feet somehow. I don't think you should resign from your job just yet. The cost of living in SA is so high. So many things require a steady income in order to survive and from what I heard brands can take forever to pay influencers. Rather create content twice a month but dedicate those 2 weekends to strictly content creation so that you have videos enough for the month. Maybe record 2 sit-down videos and a vlog and release the sit down video during the week you wont release a vlog... If you feel strongly about being a full time content creator then give yourself 6 months to a year to save up then quit your 9-5.

I like the shelf thing but to make it look cleaner and sleeker I'd put in baskets and put the products into the basket that way you have the storage but it also looks more aesthetically pleasing.

My advice would be to take a break from UA-cam a month or two etc in order to gather strength and thoroughly think about what it is that you want. Quitting a job is never a good idea considering how our economy is sitting at. Love and light mama♥. Nothing is guaranteed in the industry that you are in (being a content creator). Don't put yourself under pressure, You've got no reason to rush your decision. I've seen so many UA-camrs taking breaks that are for months and come back. You can do that also. Hi Gugu. Given that this is a 2 month old video you may have gotten things figured out by now but here's my 2 cents. Don't quit your day job. Just like how our parents when growing up made us take up careers that they felt are a lot secure. We drifted from doing things we love. But things are better now because we can in our spare time do the things we love like for you Instagram and UA-cam. Consider this, what pays for your content? Does your content currently sustain itself? At some point yes things will be blooming and you can make good money from Instagram and UA-cam, amazing. However, remember your current cubbies and the many more that will come might not always have the luxury or time to watch your videos (This is like in the long run, bo ma 3-10 years). Life happens and people get caught up in a lot of things. A lot of us will grow older and some will certainly outgrow watching UA-cam vlogs. The younger people might find their age mates more appealing (Im not saying all your subbies are old like me, lol but I hope im making sense). Also, I feel like during the hard lockdown UA-cam was booming because even I had time to watch and that's how I discovered people like you, but we (viewers) cannot guarantee that we will always have or make the time to watch vlogs, like, comment and subscribe. So I don't think you should quit your job at any point, unless ofcos you have another financial security besides UA-cam.

I don't think you should resign from your job just yet. The cost of living in SA is so high. So many things require a steady income in order to survive and from what I heard brands can take forever to pay influencers. Rather create content twice a month but dedicate those 2 weekends to strictly content creation so that you have videos enough for the month. Maybe record 2 sit-down videos and a vlog and release the sit down video during the week you wont release a vlog... If you feel strongly about being a full time content creator then give yourself 6 months to a year to save up then quit your 9-5.

I like the shelf thing but to make it look cleaner and sleeker I'd put in baskets and put the products into the basket that way you have the storage but it also looks more aesthetically pleasing.

Just yesterday I was watching your first vlog. Girl child you have grown and are amazing. Doesnt mean you gotta cut your income to keep us sane. Perhaps less YT vlogs (1 per week etc) but girl keep your income / job. On the plus side, you have been keeping me sane watching your happy vlogs and i thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My advice would be to take a break from UA-cam a month or two etc in order to gather strength and thoroughly think about what it is that you want. Quitting a job is never a good idea considering how our economy is sitting at. Love and light mama♥. Nothing is guaranteed in the industry that you are in (being a content creator). Don't put yourself under pressure, You've got no reason to rush your decision. I've seen so many UA-camrs taking breaks that are for months and come back. You can do that also. We, as your subscribers understand♥

Hi Gugu. Given that this is a 2 month old video you may have gotten things figured out by now but here's my 2 cents. Don't quit your day job. Just like how our parents when growing up made us take up careers that they felt are a lot secure. We drifted from doing things we love. But things are better now because we can in our spare time do the things we love like for you Instagram and UA-cam. Consider this, what pays for your content? Does your content currently sustain itself? At some point yes things will be blooming and you can make good money from Instagram and UA-cam, amazing. However, remember your current cubbies and the many more that will come might not always have the luxury or time to watch your videos (This is like in the long run, bo ma 3-10 years). Life happens and people get caught up in a lot of things. A lot of us will grow older and some will certainly outgrow watching UA-cam vlogs. The younger people might find their age mates more appealing (Im not saying all your subbies are old like me, lol but I hope im making sense). Also, I feel like during the hard lockdown UA-cam was booming because even I had time to watch and that's how I discovered people like you, but we (viewers) cannot guarantee that we will always have or make the time to watch vlogs, like, comment and subscribe. So I don't think you should quit your job at any point, unless ofcos you have another financial security besides UA-cam.
