I didn't get a gift except my daughter who has dementia. Lives in a nursing home. She made me a beautiful Mother's Day card. No special meal. Then my oldest son texted me a Happy Mother's Day So my mother's day was perfect. 5/15/2023 My son that lives at home. He didn't even say Happy Mother's Day. That saddens me. But today is another day and life moves on.

I noticed that when you mention your adopted kids you just say them by their name but when you mention your birth kids, you say my son so and so or my daughter so and so. As someone who has an adopted child, you should make every effort not to do that, they notice.
