That's how you know what to build ;-) * Google any question you have about PC. Or maybe find some video tutorial on how to use Windows 10-11. You will need around a week to feel pretty comfortable. So... Why bother anyways? : * Play old games and new one on the same platform * Use mods. Thousands of them! * Use config files to tweak additional settings * Use emulators to play almost any old console games!
@@igorthelight Wow thank you for all of that. It's just much easier said than done. Really all I want is amazing performance that's similar to PS5's power or more but have full controller support. I have an XBox Series X and a MacBook. I’m so excited I’ll have to get a PC, just for this Kyber release. Also, look at what Bethesda and the community has done for Skyrim and Fallout modding as a good lesson in endless possibilities. Bethesda provided a modding kit for free to everyone, plus tutorials. EA & Dice could do that, too.
After the cursed EA killed Battlefront prematurely I was sure that nothing interesting would happen. I'm glad that the modders took the matter into their own hands and are developing this great game. It is known that Battlefront 2 2017 will never beat the playability and maps of Battlefront 2 2005, but it is still a great game with a ton of possibilities. As DICE supported the game it was my dream to see the map of Utapau, Mygeeto, Mustafar in new graphics and here came this beautiful moment that I will be able to see them thanks to the modders. I didn't even expect them to be those great maps from Battlefront 2 2005. Big kudos to the guys for figuring out how to port maps from such an old game. I hope that the maps from Battlefront 2015 are also ported and we will play Supremacy on the phenomenal Bespin or Sullust
People overrate Mods too much. 99.9% of them are fan re-skins while the attacks are repurposing what already exists. Oh look! I’m playing Revan. He has Luke’s dash, Vader’s choke and Anakin’s rage move! Oh! And he is dead quiet!
This is definitely very exciting and well done to the people behind the Kyber project. It can't have been easy to streamline all this so they deserve praise and it'll be great for the Battlefront community. However, I feel like saying "have a decent PC" is kind of undermining how truly accessible this might be because not everyone has the experience of a long time PC player and PC setups for gaming, even just a decent one, are so expensive. Not everyone has that kind of cash to spare. I feel like that isn't taken into consideration when talking about this game and mods because it's a very demanding game on your system. Not everyone has the beefy hardware to run it as smoothly as they may prefer. It not being available on consoles is just a given unfortunately. As a mainly console player, I accepted that long ago but I feel modding is usually so much more simplified than it actually is because not everyone who plays on a PC is on the same level and specs. There are so many variables that aren't present for consoles because everyone is on the same level in terms of hardware. Not looking to kill anyone's buzz here, I just feel the gap is worth highlighting as people are always trying modding for the first time and learning the ropes so to speak
@@rebelscum1925 Oh ok cool. But would it actually be good for a console player like me? I wish there was an Xbox/PC hybrid cause I don't want to buy both. PC is too complicated. And idk how to upgrade a PC or which PC to buy.

They should really attempt an Order 66 game mode of some sort where as a jedi there are objectives as to where they need to go to get rescued or something like that and as a clone trooper its sort of like a.. maybe not hide and seek but theres definitely a lot of searching to find the jedi and you need to communicate with your team and give out comms to find the jedi and surround it

I hear only things I like from this video! The only concern is how popular it'll be. It could be the single greatest thing humanity has ever achieved but it'll be worthless if no one's playing it. I'm just a little skeptical for that reason. But I certainly hope it gets a decently sized playerbase.
I hope people figure out a way to mod the game on consoles some day, but I'm not sure if it's possible... You're more than welcome to join us on PC though!
Always have been, that's nothing new. Maybe 10 years from now sony will stop caring about regulating PS4s and there'll be some amount of community mods like PS3, but even speaking as an almost exclusively console player, having to suppose such a thing is just proof of the inferiority of consoles

I've just gotten into skyrim and am loving it because anything and everything can be modded to match what experience you want. I hope that battlefront 2 can be in the same place as Mount and Blade or Skyrim because community support is basically infinity support.
I still don't know how to use mods on PC. It's way too complicated for me with anything to do with PC & idk what PC to buy or how to upgrade it...😥
Do you have any "PC guys" like a programmer or a service repairer?
A few tips:
* Google something like "500$ budget gaming PC" and ignore any videos that are 2+ years old. That's how you know what to build ;-)
* Google any question you have about PC. Or maybe find some video tutorial on how to use Windows 10-11. You will need around a week to feel pretty comfortable.
So... Why bother anyways? :
* Play old games and new one on the same platform
* Use mods. Thousands of them!
* Use config files to tweak additional settings
* Use emulators to play almost any old console games!

Wow thank you for all of that. It's just much easier said than done. Really all I want is amazing performance that's similar to PS5's power or more but have full controller support.
Upgrading gives me anxiety & also just buying a PC. So I want to play games on it (with controller) but also be able to browse the Internet cause I miss doing that.
I also don't know how to use mods & it didn't work on my parents old PC that broke 1-2 years ago.
So thank you for this but it's hard to respond on a phone like this. It doesn't even let me see your comment im responding to.
Hoping that ground to space (jumping into star fighters and taking off from the ground) will be possible through mods some day. Like the classics.
I wonder if we will ever be able to mod bf2 on console one day..... and also thank you kyber for your consistent mod support to this game.
Depending on how easy it is to set up I'll for sure try it out. Frosty Mod Manager is the main reason I didn't mess with it before.
Is there full controller support on steam & epic games store?
Always have been

Oh ok cool. But would it actually be good for a console player like me? I wish there was an Xbox/PC hybrid cause I don't want to buy both.
PC is too complicated. And idk how to upgrade a PC or which PC to buy.
it's the perfect time to get back into battlefront again, classic collection was a blessing in disguise
Man I wish battlefront 2 had a community mod section on consoles just like Skyrim has
I would love to know exactly what mods you would personally use for your own server
My cards are locked in collection screen even tho I have previously purhassed them with skill points. Most of the time my weapons get locked too.
*I cant wait for dice and EA to send the kyber team a cease and desist letter the same way Activision did to the SM2 team lmao*
I tried kyber once but it was really confusing so I just closed it and never played a match hopefully this time with v2 I can play kyber
Oh hello BattlefrontUpdates. I haven't seen you since BF2K17 died and my love for Star Wars began to rot. I'm glad your still around.
For all of us console players please record/live stream gameplay of this! There aren’t many UA-camrs who do commentary gameplay of modded gameplay, I hope this changes it
Is it impossible for them to add offline into ea bf2? That’s what added so much replayability to the originals
You know what would be a bigger news for this game? EA making the game playable on PC multiplayer by actually taking care of the cheaters and their game properly.
Nah, im still having a blast on the classic collection. Its worked perfectly for me since day 1 and GC is great still. MP doesnt make a game good.
Totally want to see Free Radical's BF3 maps ported into BF2EA.
Battlefront community is the very definition of : If you want something, do it yourself
They should really attempt an Order 66 game mode of some sort where as a jedi there are objectives as to where they need to go to get rescued or something like that and as a clone trooper its sort of like a.. maybe not hide and seek but theres definitely a lot of searching to find the jedi and you need to communicate with your team and give out comms to find the jedi and surround it
I am glad that you don't have to arrange the mods in frosty mod manager anymore. This and the empty servers turned me off. Maybe I will give it a try when I get back from my year abroad but I also really want to try other games since star wars gaming has been such a desert recently
Maybe I'm dreaming, but I'm already imagining the Coruscant Map from BF3 in BF2 2017.😌👌🏼
Sounds good! I hope we can have 64 or more players! That would make the game much better especially on Supremacy!
I hear only things I like from this video! The only concern is how popular it'll be. It could be the single greatest thing humanity has ever achieved but it'll be worthless if no one's playing it. I'm just a little skeptical for that reason. But I certainly hope it gets a decently sized playerbase.
I'll try kyber 2, I want to play so badly but the hackers are out of control
The fact that the community is doing a better job than EA ever did just shows, I think, how little EA cared about this game
Great so console players are screwed. 😢
I hope people figure out a way to mod the game on consoles some day, but I'm not sure if it's possible... You're more than welcome to join us on PC though!
@@BattlefrontUpdates Me too. Console modding should be more common. I'd join if I could afford a gaming PC.
@@BattlefrontUpdates Doing so for anything online is a one-way ticket to Bricksville.
Always have been, that's nothing new. Maybe 10 years from now sony will stop caring about regulating PS4s and there'll be some amount of community mods like PS3, but even speaking as an almost exclusively console player, having to suppose such a thing is just proof of the inferiority of consoles
@@cooperv.6083 Exactly 💯 I'm hoping as an Xbox person, we some more inclusive options for the console players. We may see more platforms with PS and Xbox apps installed rather than full on consoles. It's the future! 🤘
You do know that proximity voice chat is where you hear people on the other team when close to them like warzone has, not like fortnite because fortnite only has regular voice chat so you can talk to the team you are on.😂
i wish Battlefront 2015 would also get mod support, i want to play the dlcs so bad in the 2015 game but nobody is playing anymore
I'm really excited to play Battlefont 2 with Kyber. I tried the first time but I couldn't. I'm finally going to play with all the heroes I like
I am excited for this, didnt even know kyber v1 existed but still played bf2 anyways for a while. Gonna share this video around to my friends.
if this means they could bring back bespin maps from battlefront 2015
That's just the best news we've got in years. Looking forward to this!
Is there a way to mod in splitscreen so two people can play on a Kyber server from the same PC?
Why are we getting excited when EA will probably step in and stop Kyber like EA always does - taking control away from the players and keeping it with EA.
I need a mod that allows me to play starfighter assault and galactic assault offline with bots. And the supremacy mode with ship boarding. Playing against players is fun but I just wanna relax sometimes.
Are the campaigns complete now on the battlefront collection?
I was hoping to play this in holiday season. Is the project still alive?
Aspyr JUST this second clipped the support for there official BCC servers. Make a video asap!!! I don’t know why as of now, but the servers aren’t there anymore. Only user made servers remain, have they abandoned ship? 😂
I am going to be soo mad if that is the case.
Either they are rebooting the server system for a new patch or new server system from scratch or we have now officially been left behind.
So… will this break my frosty mods or can I still launch it after playing kyber and play with those mods too
Any chance this will work on steam deck???
Why not? ;-)
@@igorthelight I don't know enough about kyber to know how to answer that. That's why I asked. 😉
@@sacredscars5758 There may be some problems but it is a community created project (no additional anti cheat as far as I know). And most problems with Steam Deck are anti-cheat drivers that doesn't work properly on Linux or game is too graphically intensive for it's hardware.
Looks like those two would not be the problem here ;-)
@@igorthelight ah, I see your reasoning. However, Steam is Linux based, so that complicates things. Hopefully all that is needed is the correct file path for the game directory. And hopefully launching it from Chrome won't bring more issues. Hopefully, it is a web based client and not a separate application. Ect.
@@igorthelight I went through and signed up for play testing so 🤷♂️ we'll see if it works.
Modded maps is huge.
Is this ready yet?
I have to ask in preparation for Kyber V2, does anyone know of a mod which removes the capital ship portion of Supremacy from online and makes it more like the instant action version? I only ever play Galactic Civil War because the Clone Wars era matches take too long
