I have a '78 model 17 Cherokee (wide wheel "chief" type). 401 V8. Still the best vehicle I have ever driven. Still have it. Bought it new in '78 and only has 75,000 miles on it today.

Ah, beautiful! That's my dream SJ - Chief Wide Wheel 2-Door , 4-speed, 360cid. My parents had a '71 AMC Ambassador with the 360, and it had a nice rumble with the stock muffler.

with i had a cherokee chief sometimes.. i have a 90 grand wagoneer its bad ass with the 3 inch lift tires lights and everything else i put on it.. but something about these wide tracks is awsome

My ‘79 Cherokee Chief Golden Eagle doesn’t sound quite as good as yours! Ha. Need to find a little time to adjust and/or clean the ole 2150.

can you give us the full exhaust details? I saw on facebook you said it was a cherry bomb exhaust, is it stock Y pipe into 2.5in, in to 1 cherry bomb or is it duals? Sounds amazing and I am about to decide what to put on my Grand Wagoneer. Thanks!
