I don't want to be that SM Stan but... Since you've been going through SM artists, I think you'd love Super Junior-KRY (their ballad/vocal powerhouse sub-unit) and some of Super Junior's songs like Evanesce. I feel like you'd enjoy the quirkiness of the group especially with how experimental they are in their work. Also, definitely don't sleep on Shinee. The members are back together coz 2 of them finished their military service this year so Shawols (fanbase name) are expecting a comeback next year.
I don't recommend Super Junior anywhere. Between Shindongs mysoginistic and bigoted comments, Siwons homophobia and Kangins multiple DUI's... They're just not fan friendly. The rest of the guys seem to be okay but those 3 kill SJ for me.

Don't see many people pointing this out but in case you see this: SNSD is arguably one of the kpop groups with the BEST Japanese discography out there. I would say their Kpop output varies in terms of quality, but their Japanese output is 10/10, and pretty much all bops. Check out "Karma Butterfly" (no MV, but there's a tour perf), "The Great Escape", and for an old-school bop, Mr. Taxi (there's an MV).
You said in the "The Boys" MV Sunny was the one who caught your attention. Sunny is my snsd bias and she's such a good vocalist, a great friend and an amazing person. I don't think you'll find a female idol out there who hasn't trained to or covered SNSD's debut "Into the New World". It is also commonly used as a protest anthem in korea because of it's message, so it means a lot to even the general public. They've also remixed it several times over the years and the ballad version is beautiful and lets them all show off in terms of vocals~ Also, they are still active! Every time they've been asked when they're coming back, the girls say they're waiting for the best timing. They might not be working as a group every year but all of them are committed to returning as 8 in the future, even the ones who've already left SM, stand by that they have not left the group>

Korea loved the song that the girls had to perform the song for a decade XD It's what got me into the group back then but not my favorite song. They became an iconic gg for 2nd gen and the girls' close bond is what made people love the group even more because it was natural and real. Despite the whole Jessica situation. Lion Heart is a cute concept but nice harmonies in it. Their japanese songs are amazing too and catchy. You may like those more than their Korean songs. Sunny also does a baby like voice because she revealed that the producers said her voice was "dull" and "boring." This hurt her confidence in using her natural voice.
The group is on hiatus since three of them left SM Ent to pursue their acting careers and solo debut in US (though they didn't leave the group), they are planning to have a comeback. TTS and Oh-GG are their sub units. Oh-GG (composed of those SNSD members who are still with SM Ent) TTS (Tiffany, Taeyeon and Seohyun) They are currently busy with their own careers individually. i agree with everyone else here, sm is known for their *visuals* but even more known for their *vocals* (YAY 2 Vs) all of the main vocalists of sm groups are top vocalists in kpop 👌

FACT: it was SNSD that started the bubble gum concept that the 3rd and succeeding girl groups (Twice, Red Velvet Red concept, etc) adopted :D
Don't see many people pointing this out but in case you see this: SNSD is arguably one of the kpop groups with the BEST Japanese discography out there. I would say their Kpop output varies in terms of quality, but their Japanese output is 10/10, and pretty much all bops. Check out "Karma Butterfly" (no MV, but there's a tour perf), "The Great Escape", and for an old-school bop, Mr. Taxi (there's an MV).
Hyoyeon's husky voice has a lot of character and stands out.
You said in the "The Boys" MV Sunny was the one who caught your attention. Sunny is my snsd bias and she's such a good vocalist, a great friend and an amazing person. Her vocals are underrated, but trust me, she CAN sing! I love her talent and her personality so much!!! (okay I have to stop typing because if I keep talking about Sunny I won't ever stop).

haha i get when u say GEE's gonna stuck in ur head cuz it happened to me back then, too. Nobody knew what 'gee' meant cuz it wasn't a korean word, but everybody was singing that addictive song when it first came out.
this is can be TMI but the guy at Gee mv was Shinee's minho and since they are all in same company SM, sometimes they shows up at other group's MV.
SNSD's sub unit TTS also has a MV that EXO's chanyeol appears, which is 'Twinkle'. that song is bop too :)

I just can't agree that SM has the best rappers because, in my opinion, YG and Starship focused more at that point.

you should check out TTS' Dear Santa (English version) seeing as TTS is just 3 of the girls, it might be easier to get to know those members (Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun)

Yes, stan! You won't regret it ❤️❤️❤️ they have many content/song you can react to. Yes they're still active but now, they're more on their solo activities. We're still waiting for their next comeback. K-pop wouldn't be the same without them so they're definitely worth your attention. Taeyeon is pretty much the most active when it comes to music releases and you will really love her.

If you like vocals, you should probably watch their debut song at some point. It's so iconic to them and girl groups everywhere. I don't think you'll find a female idol out there who hasn't trained to or covered SNSD's debut "Into the New World". It is also commonly used as a protest anthem in korea because of it's message, so it means a lot to even the general public.
They've also remixed it several times over the years and the ballad version is beautiful and lets them all show off in terms of vocals~
Also, they are still active! Every time they've been asked when they're coming back, the girls say they're waiting for the best timing. They might not be working as a group every year but all of them are committed to returning as 8 in the future, even the ones who've already left SM, stand by that they have not left the group>

2009 is the year where SoKor was in crisis but after the released of Gee, they gained their economic status again. That's why GEE is so iconic and called as Song of The Decade. The Boys album is the first gg album to have the most sales in 2011 and the only gg to got the Album of the Year in Gaon

Gee was the song that made Girls' Generation be more well known and won so many awards and S. Korea loved the song that the girls had to perform the song for a decade XD It's what got me into the group back then but not my favorite song. They became an iconic gg for 2nd gen and the girls' close bond is what made people love the group even more because it was natural and real. Despite the whole Jessica situation. Lion Heart is a cute concept but nice harmonies in it. Their japanese songs are amazing too and catchy. You may like those more than their Korean songs. Sunny also does a baby like voice because she revealed that the producers said her voice was "dull" and "boring." This hurt her confidence in using her natural voice.

The group is on hiatus since three of them left SM Ent to pursue their acting careers and solo debut in US (though they didn't leave the group), they are planning to have a comeback. TTS and Oh-GG are their sub units.

The boyz one of my favorite song of them along with hoot and lion heart.
If you want to stan, don't think about if they are active as a group or not, cuz even if they have their own solo careers, they will be still always together and also you could just stan and react to them as solos.
