Its not about who is the best. Every group is talented... and just like for u SNSD is the "best", for others they are the other girl groups... respect opinions the way u want others to respect yours..... no need to state if they are the best, as long as u like them, thats all it matters

SNSD helped the genre and the expansion of the "hallyu wave" along with 2NE1 and other groups from that time. People will stress it and say "they were the best" because it's important for people to recognize where kpop and the international impact it has now come from. It's no accident SNSD were the first girlgroup in Korea to hold the title of "Nation's girl group", and we can argue groups like Blackpink and Twice wouldn't exist without SNSD. They created a formula other kpop agencies craved to reproduce. Blackpink literally came from YG saying they needed a dance heavy/visual group like SNSD to sustain its brand and be attractive to a Korean audience and beyond. SNSD members are still doing wonderfully well individually and proved that a kpop group can be sustainable and much more than a simple fad. That's the impact of SNSD. And that's why they're considered to be the best. That doesn't mean we dislike other groups at all. I've got love for all the people in the music industry that work their butts off day & night to achieve their dreams, but i do like to recognize where the stuff we see and hear everyday comes from.

Kpop was not even a thing in Spain in 2011. I was one of the few lucky people who got into it back then haha. However, The Boys used to play in Zara, Stradivarius and H&M here. I remember how excited I would get when I'd go shopping and this song randomly played! SNSD is indeed a legendary group ❤️

If it's Japanese releases, then 'Paparazzi' and 'Galaxy Supernova' must have. Also will be very nice - concert performances: the epic 'Karma Butterfly' with chairs and the final 'Indestructible' (4th tour 'Phantasia'), 'Chain Reaction' is also incomparable. So pity that these songs do not have MVs.

Run Devil Run opened the concept of 'Black Soshi'. Prior to this, they mostly had cutesy, young concepts (well except for Genie i guess). Also, the demo for this song was sung by Kesha.
It wasn’t a demo, Kesha released the song as well. It’s on her album Animal. The producers sold the song to both. One version for the US and one for the Asian market. It’s a common thing.

There's sooo much SNSD content which is cool..you get to see them evolve. Genie was 2010, in 2011 they started doing their legendary Japan tours. Once you get into songs like Galaxy Supernova, Flower Power, Mr. Taxi, My oh My, etc. along with all the b-sides & ballads, you'll see how important Japan was to their career...and SNSD were great live.
Genie is super iconic for me, and my favorite track out of these 3, as well as just one of my favorite SNSD title tracks, because of the choreo, the outfits, THE LEGS, and the chorus. It gets stuck in my head for days on end. However, my favorite SNSD track of all time, is Lionheart!!! The MV makes the track EVEN better. Hope you get to that one soonish! If I remember well the concept for The boys was they return as goddess. Before The boys, they were in Japan for 2 years, a very long time in K-pop world. Everyone was waiting this comeback and they comeback with a more mature concept. They even made a reality show with tough teenagers who had behavior problems. They were mentors , it was so interesting! And for Genie, there is a very well know compilation of a part of the song "DJ put it back on" sing by Tiffany. In concerts, she replace DJ by the name of the city or the name of the arena/dome... The famous one is Madison Square Garden put it back on!!! Love it ♥️

Much of my passion for kpop has diminished over the past few years, but SNSD is one group that’s guaranteed to get me excited! SNSD is the group that got me into kpop, specifically their song Genie! A live performance of it popped up in my UA-cam recommended back in 2010, and that was that. It’s still my favorite song of theirs along with Gee, Oh!, and a ton of their Japanese songs!
GG is my ultimate girl group and always will be. One of the major things I loved about them is they literally could do any concept. The queens of versatility!
In SNSD (GG) concert performed in Madison Square Garden, Genie had a Tiffany rapping bridge which was so great to hear. There are videos in YT about it.

If I remember well the concept for The boys was they return as goddess. Before The boys, they were in Japan for 2 years, a very long time in K-pop world. Everyone was waiting this comeback and they comeback with a more mature concept.
They even made a reality show with tough teenagers who had behavior problems. They were mentors , it was so interesting!
And for Genie, there is a very well know compilation of a part of the song "DJ put it back on" sing by Tiffany. In concerts, she replace DJ by the name of the city or the name of the arena/dome... The famous one is Madison Square Garden put it back on!!! Love it ♥️

Much of my passion for kpop has diminished over the past few years, but SNSD is one group that’s guaranteed to get me excited! SNSD is the group that got me into kpop, specifically their song Genie! A live performance of it popped up in my UA-cam recommended back in 2010, and that was that. It’s still my favorite song of theirs along with Gee, Oh!, and a ton of their Japanese songs!
GG is my ultimate girl group and always will be. One of the major things I loved about them is they literally could do any concept. The queens of versatility!
