    Very innovative concept. I can see this working well for people with back issues, or winter camping or even winter backpacking, as it gets you off the ground which is how so much heat is lost.
    Mixed reviews out there. Some love it. A few complain about sagging, ripping the fabric or putting a hole in it, and some broken feet. But it appears Therm-a-Rest has a great warranty on it, so that’s good.

    I wish one of these manufacturers would show a technique for assembling inside a 2p or 3p tent (single use in either). I know a technique that doesn't rub the tent walls, but I've yet to see anything similar on a manufacturer, or user review, video.

    I'm interested in this product, but I've seen reviews where people had some issues with this cot sagging so much when lying on their side that the ground and bows were felt making it uncomfortable. Has this issue been resolved or did this have to do with other factors? Thanks

    Hi, Ms. Audrey. I see in your video, that you use a air-matt on the cot. Is that necessary or recommended, or is it also comfortable to use the cot without a mat, without feeling the bows poking the back or shoulders? In fact I use an older version of a Thermarest Neo Air regular already for some years, and it´s comfortable. So, I don´t know, how much more comfortable it might be with the cot under the matt.
    By the way, this cot seems to be a great item to take out in the woods, if one is not into "ultra-light" stuff. And I have to congratulate Thermarest to have such an attractive presenter for their products. Well done.

    • @ThermaRest
      @ThermaRest  4 роки тому +1

      Hi there,
      It is recommended that you pair a cot with a pad for maximum comfort due to the cross bars being felt when lying down.
      Best,
      Olivia

    The lightweight setup has 4 single bows and supports up to 175 lbs. What if you use 5 or 6 single bows and now twist bows?

    • @ThermaRest
      @ThermaRest  5 років тому +1

      The maximum load for the Reg and Large is 325 lbs. In the instruction manual, we recommend that if you feel contact with a pole bow when lying in a cot set up with single poles, it is recommended that you use a double bow construction instead for extra support. The more poles, the more support, whether single or double.

    Do you also need an air mattress on top of this of can you sleep directly on it?

    • @ThermaRest
      @ThermaRest  4 роки тому

      Hi there,
      Good question! While you can sleep directly on the cot, they do not offer any insulation so pairing it with a Therm-a-Rest mattress or blanket could be a great solution.

      There's no insulation, so it's quite nice in hot weather, but it can quickly get chilly, even in decent weather (still better than sleeping directly on the ground if you decide to follow some other poster's advice, and "man up. :-). A foam pad works, or Thermarest sell an underquilt, or a simple reflective piece of cloth that helps - but it all adds up $$$ and a bit of weight and volume.

    This is the most unhelpful review I've ever seen. It suggests constructing a cot outside - in the rain? In the UK? Is it even possible to construct this cot inside a tent - say the Zephros I? I've also had a go with colleagues dismantling it and it is really, really hard. Not sure about this.
