2:24 *Fun fact:* Cassius Dio appears as a protagonist in the Netflix docu-series "Roman Empire: Reign of Blood", being his portrayal one of the best parts of the entire show. He's depicted as a pretty intelligent character, as he's capable to survive Commodus' tyranny thanks to his prudence and lack of ambition against the rest of the characters' desire of power
@@treystephens6166 Yes, I made this video for History Documentary, which is why toward the end of it, I say that it was part of a collaboration between our two channels. The text I am narrating is from an article on my website.
Roman Soldier 1#: "We did it! We defeated the Quadi because the Gods directly helped us! the Roman Empire will be eternal!" Roman Soldier 2#: "Yeah. By the way, some guys out there are saying that Emperor Marcus is pretty ill right now..." Roman Soldier 1#: "Don't worry. He sure will be fine. Also, his son can perfectly replace him and rule in his place. What could go possibly wrong?"
Given the Antonine Plague, I'm not sure that any expansion was possible. The Romans would have had to pull back eventually. All they would have done was bring more technology and sophistication to the Germanic tribes quicker. In the long run, this would not have been good for Rome.

And WHO were Quadi? Definitely predcessors of todays Slovaks, original own name in their language Slovens or Morava’s Slovens.
If he had established these provinces and his successors would have been as competent as he the Roman Empire would have conquered Germania and Poland.
Nice
