  • The innovative SmartDrive technology prevents manual wheelchair users from shoulder burnout over the years of wheeling one's chair across difficult terrain such as grass or bumpy pavements. The attachment can even provide power assistance to wheel up ramps or curbs if need be. Lorinda shows off the features of the SmartDrive device and how it promotes further independence in times of need!

I got one and love it. I heard the new MX2 only matches your speed when you push. They did away with holding down the button to go top speed. That's the only reason why I didn't consider the upgrade.

I have tried it. It's pretty cool for the most part, although I found that I wheel fast enough to negate the benefits of the device on flat surfaces and gentle hills. However, I can see it working well for steeper areas where I might get tired. The cost scared me though!

i dont have this one, i thought it was the one i was getting, but oh well. i hate mine i actually stopped using it because its the one that you slap your hands together to get it to go and to stop it, you dont just resist on the wheel rims it actually screws with it, needs alot of updating for individual users.

Be careful, I'm actually a quadriplegic because of that car. A defective ignition switch disabled my power bakes, steering and airbags when I hit a bump in my 2006 Ion Redline.
