As this consert is performed in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, I also want that my comments are taken seriously. I condemn this oppression of Ukraine, and I also love this Beethoven 3rd consert. I find this interpretation wonderful, with so much inspiration together with these young Ukraine musicians. And I wonder how their future will be? Living in a free country, or a country occupied by Russia?
BRAVO, Dmytro Choni, Oksana Lyniv & Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine!! Mr. Choni won the bronze medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition June 2022, in Ft. Worth TX, only the second Ukrainian pianist to medal at the prestigious contest. He performed this concerto during the competition, accompanied by the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Marin Alsop. What a treat! (FYI, the Van Cliburn competition is streamed live, and also has a UA-cam channel)
