I had Kittie and Coal chamber on cassette because my mom thought I was too young so I took the cds from my much older stepbrother and recorded them onto tapes.
@@williamdon3442 yeah, man. I miss just flipping through cd cases on the racks at sam goodys. Seeing if there was just some hidden gem that would change my life.
I worked as a stage hand for various music venues in my city and have worked for many bands during the Nu Metal era and I had the honor of working for Kittie three times. They're a lot of fun onstage, very friendly and very professional musicians. Kittie is definitely on my list of bands I'd work for again at the drop of a dime.
We opened for you guys at Red Rocks in 1999. One of the greatest experiences of my life - you were wonderful, sweet, gals. I think we were in awe of each other and the other bands playing after us ❤
it's very cool that i recently got a Kittie Tapestry & am planning on doing a Video Review on them. I Bought Their first CD spit back in 2000 & been a Fan since But like their first Album the Best
I watched a rockumentary about them only this year online(probably this one). What I took from it was when ever they had a member change they would just call up one of their pals , didn’t seem to matter if they could actually play🤷🏻. But I still loved them at the time and like many others hadn’t realised they were still at it .
All their later albums is a mix of metalcore and numetal. Some of it sounds like Lamb of God mixed with melodic Slipknot. It's that New Wave of American Heavy Metal sound even though they are Canadian.
These were my gals back then! As much as me and my lil bro loved Kittie, we never had the chance to catch a gig of theirs.😞 and being a guitarist/singer and drummer ourselves we definitely drew a lot of inspiration from the sisters as musical as they are. Boy oh boy have times changed lol
if anyone is interested the actual documentary starts at 0:40 after an array of self indulgent animated logos and slow transitions. but even then you sit through a bunch of credits and a teaser reel until 2:50
@@onesixfive it is a 120 minute movie. It’s a documentary film that saw theatrical release back in 2017. The person that uploaded this just chopped into separate parts when they put it on UA-cam. That’s why you see all the credits.

About ten years ago I was in a band that used to hop on various tours for a few dates as they rolled through our area. Our singer was really good at making these funny, musically political connections and suddenly I’m in a back room, smoking pot with members of Slipknot or something…it was a *weird* time in life. At any rate, we played a few dates with Kittie and the one thing I remember about them is that they were just existentially MISERABLE, man. It’s not like they were unfriendly or “bad people”. But I think the rigors of traveling North America for years on end caught up with them. Unless you’re at a certain level, the road can be an awful life…filled with discomfort, no sense of home, no sense of satisfying cleanliness or stability. Dudes in their teens and 20s are fine with this type of existence…it’s pretty much just a mobile version of what they’d already be doing anyway. But chicks in their 30s…I dunno man…the appeal of that lifestyle just seems to be almost nonexistent. I don’t think there’s any big mystery there…it makes sense when you stop to think about it.

I remember doing that. Good times huh??? Sure miss those days. Buying CDs and tapes

Unfortunately
They're coming out with a new album

When r they releasing a new album
Saw them at The Engine Room in Houston like 20+ years ago. Put on a good show.
I bought their first album on CD when I was in high school. I fucking loved it. Been getting nostalgic for that era in music lately;
I saw these ladies in 1998-99-ish?, they were incredible! they sounded like they were playing together for 40 years. **Crowbar- State College, PA.
Fallon's beauty is timeless
Perfect band 😁
Ten parts !? Honestly, this video alone is more than I wanted or cared to know..
Then why are you here?

R they still together
They disappeared as fast as they came.
All original members are from San Antonio, Texas. My brothers band went up against them in battle of the bands.
They're from Canada
Bro you got them mixed up.
What band was your brother in?
Kittie still fuckin rocks 🤘🏼🤘🏼🙌🏼
Long live hard rock and heavy metal!🤘🏼
You often run into members at metal shows in toronto. Always nice. Always down to talk music. Always touring.
Totally forgot about them
I remember buying my Son the CD Oracle 😊
Wowww!!! Fuck awesome doc, band, women and people. Congrats from Brazil

I want one of those lunch boxes!
I think my wife seen them play on a sidewalk one year.
They were legit
Long story short, they were a bunch of girls thrown together by some producer during the nu metal era for a few dollars like the runaways were
Do any of them have any boyfriend s
Kittie, one of the finest... Nobody said ever.
Im siked for this
LOOK AT ME WE'RE WOMYN!
Never heard of em😂😂😂
Now they're called House Cat
Its crazy that Morgan looks nothing like her former self. i had to watch this over and over like, who is that??
The beta straw-manning that people had this perception that four girls couldn't be considered "metal" is some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard.
Escape Canada if you can.
i didnt get touched... ohh well there loss.
nu metal hot topic crap
They added to music what women add to soccer right now: pathetic laughs.
Detune their E string and pretend to know how to play,,, didn’t end well
Made them a good life
