Heya! I found some random stuff. There is still ways to meaty and get into an unthrown backturn after landing a sweep now. It requires use of something I thought of while learning dash cancels: Dash boosted run-through. You know how in a dash cancel, you have to input the dash while you input the motion, and then press the button? Same principle. It isn't the hardest, just requires practice. This on its one is rarely enough to get you into backturn safely though, as the cpu can still throw you. What you do depends on the other characters weight. On lightweights, you can do it raw and then bt.k afterwards to start pressure. On mediums and heavies, you have to immediately whiff a p normal after your sweep and then do the dash boosted run-through after. This will meaty them with the run-through hit. I've also had success using this to meaty with run-through on training bot after using the non run though 236s move. Please take everything I sat with a grain of salt, as I have no clue how to do more extensive tests of different throw timings. Have a good day, and that's for the video!
I'm still staying with our Mix King. Definitely need to adapt so very helpful this was for sure. We may not be able to Unga Bunga but we can still Bunga, Rip Sweep you served your King well. Also not sure if you forget to mention we can cross up in the corner, so we got that mix thinking their only salvation was in the corner but not any more. Neat
They also made Leo's 2S -2 on block and gave a little bit of a disjoint on jH. So I think they could be wanting us to play a little bit more of defensive neutral and poke people into a counterhit. Blitzschlag (214H) also doesn't wall break as easily anymore, which give us more options in the corner like crossover special or more wall break damage. I'm not sure how good this is in practice, though
You can also dash cancel into special on like the first frame of the dash but it feels way too tight to be useful. They also changed the hight of the bounce from jump dust or at least it says they did.
The only specials it’s really useful to dash cancel are fireball and flashkick but dash cancel fireball is only really good for oki and it’s impossible to keep charge for flashkick and get 5K/c.S. Everything else already has forward momentum so if you’re close enough to dash cancel, it’s pretty pointless. Was really hoping it would improve his combo game more off air hits or something.

i was maining goldlewis for a long time but damn playing leo is so fun and i cant wait to use the things that you said in the video. Though i still need to practice my 6k dp
@@K7Showoff have you tried replacing Turbulenz with 5K into 236HS. If btHS cancelled into 5K berserker Slash your in back turn oki. They'll be far enough where they can't grab you and you can stuff the throw with btS or Side switch.
