  • Hello Friends! This video is a testimonial graciously provided by my wonderful and lovely patient Kim. Her jaw was "locked closed" when she came to see me, so for those of you have had or currently have a jaw that is locked closed, please watch!
In this video, she talks about what she went through before coming to see us and her experience at my TMJ/TMD-only practice! Please watch the video for more information. Thank you, Kim!

Such a great video to hear! Shows me there is hope. ❤❤❤ I am curious, do you ever have your patients wear the daytime orthotic while eating? Why or why not? Thank you!! 👍👍👍

No I don’t. Wearing during eating increases the chance of the bite changing!

Just curious…do you have your patients get adjusted before their visit with you or within 24 hours after?
I went through over 3 years of treatment with an LVI and Galella trained dentist…orthotic, AGGA appliance, then controlled arch braces for 19 months. My treatment ended with 3 implants finished and then most of my existing crowns replaced. I did fine for about 6 months and then same as this patient, I yawned pretty big and then heard and felt a pop and knew this was different from any other symptoms I’d had before. My jaw stuck for a few seconds and I was able to get it to close, but I had a new and different pain. I have since had an MRI that showed I have a completely displaced disc on my right side and of course the oral surgeon recommended arthrocentesis and then suture the disc back in place. I do NoT is want to do that.

Within 24-48 hours of the neck adjustment, I have my patients come see me. :)
