And again music is subjective, so you can like a song other people call terrible. Edit: Okay come one! Yes, The Rizzness was the most unexpected thing coming from Taemin but that song slaps!
Okay so, back up. IMO S-class isn’t traumatizing, even as someone’s first impression of kpop. It may be loud and in your face but it does it in a familiar way. It isn’t pure kpop chaos, it’s controlled kpop chaos. It integrates musical phrases that are familiar to the listener, like the classic hip hop synth we can all recognize old school street style from, with the more unfamiliar, eg the repetitive chorus or the sudden drops mid verse. Here’s what I mean by integrating the familiar. Kpop is a genre of its own, known for its commercialist choreography and experimental sound. The whole point is that it doesn’t sound like western music. But hip hop? Funk? Classic EDM or R&B? Those are absolute music. They’re stuff we KNOW. So what I mean by connecting the familiar with the unfamiliar is like how they switched from that high energy pika poncho to old school hip hop. Even someone who knows the bare bones of hip hop can understand that the song switched to that genre (It’s literally music history for dummies atp) There’s something in there for everyone. That’s why IMO S class is a musical mix-genre masterpiece. Is it jarring cz of the genre switches? Heck yea, but that’s the POINT! It goes from slow tempo, to fast rap, then decrescendo for prechorus and after the drop you expect it to speed up but NO- instead of speeding up the meter they go even SLOWER. That’s musical expectation subversion! Idc what anybody says. The repetitiveness and the choppy rap was catchy and brilliant. Nobody- and I mean nobody, can do that type of song but THEM. And they know it- and THATS what they were showing with that song. It’s their S-Class.
Normally the repetitive chorus would suggest lazy writing, or just a cash grab, but then the bridge comes and it’s smooth sailing from there. For me personally the most jarring moment was the switch from b-boy to the 2nd pre chorus. But even that makes sense structurally. It went from Boom Bap, to Edm, to pop, to hip hop to FCKIN ORCHEStRaL (and not just sampled cough shutdown cough) to a dance break (I’d even say disco?) and finished off with high intensity chorus rep. AND THATS STRAY KIDS! That’s like their entire sound wrapped into one song! It’s supposed to be out of the box, weird but catchy! That’s what I loved about it. It’s like every time you listen to it you catch something different that’s in the production.
SKZ are the kings of well done noise music but that's the kind of hit of miss too. No need to bash a song just because you don't like it. SKZ have a big fandom that ain't for nothing.
I'm sorry I know it's their opinion but some of these songs has me like WHAT? 😭Because let's be honest Better Things is not a bad song at all. Literally just because it's mostly English doesn't mean "western validation" and "trying to hard".
@@almilall Well if that’s what you think then okay 🤷🏽♀️ K-pop groups have been doing mostly English songs forever but you have your opinion I have mine.

Agree, lot of ppl don't even understand that it was heavily autotune with heavy voice, to show his anger towards haters🤦♀️ U need to deep dive to understand Bts songs. 💜
@@PR_YAI don’t think the issue is that no one understands the meaning. I just think most people respect the meaning but don’t like the sound. It’s not something most people are going to want to listen to again.
@@PR_YA see this is why I dislike calling songs bad. If someone says it’s bad they are ignoring the meaning and hating, but if someone says they don’t like it many times they just aren’t gonna add it to there playlists. There is a big population of armys who just don’t like how the song sounds but know what his intention was from using it. For example even if someone has the best lyrics I’ve ever heard and I truly enjoy the meaning doesn’t mean I’m gonna force myself to listen to a song I don’t like
My opinion on people depends simply on if they like set me free pt.2 or not. If you don't like it I don't like you and that's final. My boy Jimin doesn't deserve all the disrespect he received at all and you can't convince me otherwise.
Set Me Free Pt.2… bad? Well, I could understand if you don’t like the autotune parts of it (no I couldn’t, I’m speaking outta my ass, but imma act like I can) but for the rest of it, I can’t really see why someone would actually HATE it so much. (I’m just gonna stay out of it like Seb did, wtv man 💀)
In the words of my boyfriend, there are only 4 types of music: 1. Good music played well 2. Good music played badly 3. Bad music played well 4. Bad music played badly Do with that as you will
I understand a difference in taste which is why I can understand why some people say some songs are "bad" and others are "good" when I may have the exact opposite opinion. However, I do think there is just objectively bad production where choices were made and it ruins the song. For example, if a certain aspect of the instrumental is too far forward in the mix, when the mixing and processing of the voices makes it hard to understand or distinguish between vocalists, or when the whole track is too heavy on the treble. These things ruin songs for me...
Anyone who says they can't take nct music seriously is tripping cause even if their title tracks miss they have some of the most glorious b-sides to grace my ears
As a stay I completely agree how traumatized people would be if s-class was their first song but like maybe not in a bad way, it’s just maybe a lot to start with if you wanna listen to stray kids as your first Kpop song 😅 still one of my faves tho 😌🤚

But tbh i think Shalala, even without knowing the choreo, it's still something i'd vibe too.
There is no bad song in the world, it's just about people's taste and what i mean by that is some people like one song and some people HATE it, but you can't say it's trash just because you don't like it, it can hurt other people's feelings and the creators too

Bruh rly said masterpiece nahhhhhhh y'all need to get checked
SKZ are the kings of well done noise music but that's the kind of hit of miss too. No need to bash a song just because you don't like it. SKZ have a big fandom that ain't for nothing.
I'm sorry I know it's their opinion but some of these songs has me like WHAT? 😭Because let's be honest Better Things is not a bad song at all. Literally just because it's mostly English doesn't mean "western validation" and "trying to hard".
I don't agree with the trying hard but I did not like that song it sounded way generic to me
even sm would not agree with you. as an sm stan for 14 years they def dis this for western validation just like how they did with lifes is too short
@@almilall Well if that’s what you think then okay 🤷🏽♀️ K-pop groups have been doing mostly English songs forever but you have your opinion I have mine.
Bro I'm not even kidding S-Ckass was actually my introduction into stray kids and I think even k-pop overall 💀
sebs beef with sticker needs to be investigated
it’s been 308 years actually
Shalala (+ nct music) is under the if you get it, you get it genre
S class was my first kpop song and i haven't been able to get over that 😂
The fact that I almost like every single song on that list💀💀
there there
Same like bro doesnt know shit ab good music🙏
Shalala is definitely one of those songs that remind me of those trippy videos with random colors that pop up on the screen
I almost started crying when she put set me free near the bottom. That song will always be one of Jimin's best songs in my opinion but I do like "like crazy" a little better.
set me free was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. The excessive autotune almost made me throw up. The choreo is fucking dope and i love jimin for making up for it w that!
@@djelanisoprettytastes are different I guess 🤷♀️I absolutely love the stylistic choice of the auto tune . At first it was off putting but now after listening to it so many times it’s so good ☝️
set me free was horrific, his new song, closer than this is so better
But why crying? Who is she anyway? A random kpoppie! A random person like you, me n everyone else in the comment section! The people who can love shalala (lmfao,) & the op who created this ranking wants to jump off a clip listening to what again?? Yeah money or Lisa whatver.. them hating smf2 is just an opinion of them as usual. You taking them seriously is funny. You listen to whatever song you love. Others opinion should not matter.
For an example the day I listened to shalala (a25 sec clip) I literally logged out of Twitter for 3 days. It gave me headache. But look at others. They looooove it. Lmfao so I'm sure it's just our opinion looool. You do you. Winterrosy is just another die hard kpoppie. Don't take her seriously at all.
Set me free isthe real vibe still vibe tothis song it's meaningful have beats and instruments that can make a person to bounce his head on the Bed it was the best present release for me
i never stopped listening to smf pt2 ever since it was released. it's literally my anthem. the bitches that get it, get it. this shit is FIRE
@@nightwarrior6200 lol Respect, only few ppl not all. Ppl like to judge only base of how it sounds, not even caring what was reference behind it.
For example even if someone has the best lyrics I’ve ever heard and I truly enjoy the meaning doesn’t mean I’m gonna force myself to listen to a song I don’t like
FRRRR
My opinion on people depends simply on if they like set me free pt.2 or not. If you don't like it I don't like you and that's final. My boy Jimin doesn't deserve all the disrespect he received at all and you can't convince me otherwise.
Fr tho
Well said
Likeee💀
Listen set me free pt. 2 for better skin
12:18 not the sticker slander😓
Sticker defender. LIKE A STICKER STICKER
Sticker is a good song.
The nct man ate up idc.
Am I the only one who absolutely loves Shalala and Sticker but then again I might be biased cuz I love anything NCT does!
SAME
SAME NEO GOT MY BACK
Set Me Free Pt.2… bad? Well, I could understand if you don’t like the autotune parts of it (no I couldn’t, I’m speaking outta my ass, but imma act like I can) but for the rest of it, I can’t really see why someone would actually HATE it so much. (I’m just gonna stay out of it like Seb did, wtv man 💀)
FR WHAT smf pt2 slaps so hard
FR like tf💀
I'll be banging my head on the bed while listening to it
In the words of my boyfriend, there are only 4 types of music:
1. Good music played well
2. Good music played badly
3. Bad music played well
4. Bad music played badly
Do with that as you will
“Played” well or badly? Is that meaning like production?
Don't know how S class is a bad song coming from a stay I had expectations from her/him but now I'm disappointed af
that channel doesnt like skz as all kpop yt channels who do this "opinions" ofc 😭😭
Help what😭
As someone who listened to skz discography and didnt like a single song, i agree with him.
@@hqnaemunobody gives a fck💀💀

liar
I understand a difference in taste which is why I can understand why some people say some songs are "bad" and others are "good" when I may have the exact opposite opinion. However, I do think there is just objectively bad production where choices were made and it ruins the song. For example, if a certain aspect of the instrumental is too far forward in the mix, when the mixing and processing of the voices makes it hard to understand or distinguish between vocalists, or when the whole track is too heavy on the treble. These things ruin songs for me...
Oh hell no, I can't go through a day without listening to shalala
Anyone who says they can't take nct music seriously is tripping cause even if their title tracks miss they have some of the most glorious b-sides to grace my ears
As a stay I completely agree how traumatized people would be if s-class was their first song but like maybe not in a bad way, it’s just maybe a lot to start with if you wanna listen to stray kids as your first Kpop song 😅 still one of my faves tho 😌🤚
OK I know cookie has a weird...meaning but if were talking about the song itself then its actually really good in my opinion. Its very catchy and gets stuck in your head.
PS FLOWER IS AMAIZING
SHALALA GOES SO HARD WDYM ㅠㅠ
Shalala is Missy Elliott coded and it’s fire idc
That one part in "set me free" i will never forgive them for it.
When you heard shalala live in a concert 🤌💚
I WISHHHHHHHH, videos are NOT the sameee 😭😭😭how was it????
@@Harmony06 went to cxo event in Jakarta and it was LIT, the whole crowd hyped as well 😭

seb you did shalala dirty
if Pink Venom wasn't released, I'd still be a blink to this day
LMAO 😭
so real
Real😭that song killed the blinkness in me
That song just doesn't make sense😂. I like shut down though and some songs in the album.
You better delete this before they come for you
Every seventeen old songs are twerk anthems yknow 😔😔. Also knowing the dance or how to do the dance really change the song's vibe sometimes, like with Shalala and S-class, it's so fun to listen to bc my mind dances the choreography A LOT. But tbh i think Shalala, even without knowing the choreo, it's still something i'd vibe too.
i fucking LOVE set me free pt2 yall will never understand 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
There is no bad song in the world, it's just about people's taste and what i mean by that is some people like one song and some people HATE it, but you can't say it's trash just because you don't like it, it can hurt other people's feelings and the creators too
dessert is a certified hit in my books
If u dont like shalala its oke its just not fit for people like u
but bounce for us
I just got this video recommended and I saw shalala on the thumbnail.
So I’m here to throw hands
Shalala is superior
the moment they called jimin mickey mouse it stopped being funny.
LIKE????!! that was offensive and im not the type to get offended easily
Mind you this is the joke they are making on that encore video and making rape jokes on him but hey army are toxic bcz we call them out, the fact that winterosy make the exact same joke and actually was active during this era on tet make it was more DISGUSTING,
But what can we expect from kpop FANDOM who sent BTS to court and celebrate
@@blossom6693armys are toxic. just because they weren’t in this situation doesn’t mean they weren’t in others. armys have slut shamed, been racist, body shamed, made death threats, etc towards other artists.
yeah bcs if its my fav im sensitive 😢😢😢 ratmy 😂
Tell me one day when BTS were not given rape threat or death threat with 100+ like since 2018 or bodyshame since debut day
Did you say racist ? Didn't kpop stan sided with Topps sticker and hijacked our tag that was calling out their hateful reference, it was not 1 person thing and definitely not just fanwar, a actual organisation did such a horrible things and you guys decide to side with them and hijacked a tag so that no one call them out ,
Tell me one group who went to court just like BTS bcz bunch of lewser trend saejaegi boy ? How tf we are toxic if your fab didn't even fave 1% that BTS did and their Carrer almost ended
Stop talking about slutshaming bcz that's merely 10 people that called out by army themselves but you guys sided with blonk who add 100 of army photo in porn site bcz they said that BTS deserve respect in kpop industry @@brianna058
s class is so fun though
Idk how people call flower annoying and tiring- like come on it’s an amazing song and has everything it needs to be perfect- But as well as Shalala like it’s such a good hype song and has perfect qualities for an amazing song- 😔
This queencard hate is crazy and then you go talking bout teddy bear like tf y'all can't even be serious queencard is good
3:39 TELL ME WHY THAT’S LITERALLY THE CHOREO LMAOO😭
"this shit is mad triumphant" to kill this love PLEASEEE
once i’ve heard a phrase: if you don’t like a certain type of music or beat the problem is probably not with the music but with your obsession with familiarity, if you try exposing your ears to a new sound on a regular basis you will grow both as a musician and as a listener
TO SUM UP i don’t think there’s an objective way to tell if a song is bad or good, it’s probably just not your style
not the baam abum cover but bboom bboom playing
Putting Lalisa at the top tier deserves jail fr
Lol i don’t watch this type of videos, they just annyoe me, especial cause im someone who likes all k pop songs (the same with this worst comeback videos lol)
Flower sounds like one of them songs that would be playing over some kinda ghetto blackhead removal video
WE GOT THE BOUNCEEEE💚💚🔥🔥🌹🌹my boy *ATEEE* idc
If I'm being completely honest, I have crap music taste in general. I'll listen to a song "ironically" until it 'Unironicly' becomes my favorite song 💀 I'm also biased if the song is mid but the choreo is fire cause ain't no way I'm bout to pass on a song that's got me grooving like that.
simple minded people can't understand Shalala! feel bad for them
Loook. Until you’ve heard Sticker in person, the hate will not be tolerated 😂
THANK GOD *YOU* LIKE KITSCH
This was so troll I loved it 😂
At first I hated Shalala but look at me now vibing to that song liek crazy
AS A VERY AVID STICKER DEFENDER, NO SONG SHOULD BE CALLED BAD BECAUSE THERE COULD BE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO WOULD INJECT A "BAD" SONG INTO THEIR SYSTEM
i got shalala first listen, some people just dont bleed neo green and thats ok 😮💨
People saying nct lost their touch must have not listened to Ay-yo, baddies, shalala, the bat, golden age, istj, candy, on my youth, phantom(i fckin love phantom)
The dizziness is a bop
I'm watching this video just bc of "shalala" in the thumbnail xd
I’m sorry but Jisoos flower id rather something be groundbreaking bad or just funny like shalala than just boring
Ok but I didn’t even realize anyone hated half the songs on this list 😭 maybe I have bad music taste
Nah, music is subjective so it can’t be called “bad” or “good” it depends on someone’s taste and the execution of the song

Imo all these songs are BOPS but I guess not all of us are into the weird side of kpop-

The first time I listened to 'Sha la la' it made me cringe. But now I love it. I wish people gave it time before claiming they hate it. Maybe we're a different breed... lol
16:42 i died laughing cause i had the same reaction with seb LMAO
putting s-class in their is a disgrace.
First of all... Tf you just said bout sticker?
Second of all... hear me out... shalala is for the ones who get it... it's the quintessential of neo.
three days later, jypapi's gonna come back❤
UR KIDDING..JAMJAM IS SUCH A BOP
shalala is so neo coded and I love it sorry not sorry
I just laugh when I see any skz song on these kinds of videos because they are my one and only ults and I love their entire discography and that won't change because of anyone's opinions cuz I'm on stan twt and they drag skz every other day there so... I enjoy his videos tho esp the kpop confessions!!!
Ikr most of these Kpop opinion channels absolutely drag skz for no reason, like they may not be your favorite but you don’t gotta hate on them
They said they like making people mad and they did that exactly😭
I'M NOT ACCEPTING THE BUENOS AIRES SLANDER
YOU SAID WHAT ABOUT STICKER......
Love your videos ❤
To put Lisa and Hyuna in the bottom of the list, your taste should be 🚮
I Like their voices but not some of their songs. Like blackpink has so much talent, but I only like their songs from a few years ago and now they don’t fit my taste anymore. Liked some of their solo songs tho
she lost me with the jimin one
DANG that was an unexpected diss just because i like shalala( and sticker).
its surprising to me that s class was peoples first kpop song tbh but it aint that all that bad. as a stay i personally think 5star had a few skips but otherwise its decent. straykids ate with making kpop stans mad that their album got a lotta achievements tho😂 and if anyones mad abt my comment i am not offending anyone
