" You're just paying for the name on the dial aren't you guys". How absolutely true and well said. I own several Seiko divers that actually go into the ocean with me when I'm snorkeling or diving and they have NEVER let me down. Always rinse with fresh water after surfacing and dry.

Sorry to vent but the nomadic is just a rebranded Chinese SanMartin you get for a third of the price on Ali.!!!
They have done nothing but pass the new colours and bracelet changes that SanMartin did a few months ago already.
Would not recommend this brand and have a look at SanMartin before you communicate on this shady brand
The Nomadic is very similar to one of the San Martin BB58 homages, down to the polished metal spacer between the bezel and the crystal.

Superb review. Just bought the Seiko SRPH15K1 for $474 AUD. An absolute bargain. Beautiful watch. Fits my 6 3/4” wrist perfectly. The green dial is stunning and looks almost back in lower light.
Rolex can’t compete with that turtle case shape. The land tortoise models are awesome.
How about instead of "cheaper " perhaps more economical. Well done. Exceptional video quality. Both watches look amazing.
Yes, I agree. “Cheaper” normally means low quality to me. “Less expensive” is the term that so prefer if the quality is still there, but costs less. I’m in sales, so I am cognizant of the words that I use.
@@IDKline Try telling someone that they’re getting a cheap version of something or that it’s “cheap” and they’ll look at you as though there’s a deficiency with it. That’s been my experience.
I’ve got that Seiko Land Tortoise and I have the black one, they’re dead nice considering they’re exceptionally budget friendly.

Having never been to Belfast, I would not have tied the yellow seconds hands to the shipping cranes. I think that is a really great detail. Excellent reviews.

Great video as always! Your former video about the Seiko got me on the hook and I bought this watch about two weeks ago at my local Seiko Boutique. The Nomadic also looks stunning. I find it difficult to take my eyes off dials with such depth.

Seiko are sneaky devils. They are able to reproduce the same watch using different materials and movements. The turtles that go up to 5000 dollars don't justify themselves at all. This model is the sweet spot indeed. It has the Sapphire, the 4R movement minus the extra hours power reserve but with a more reliable timing.
So glad I did my research on the turtles before.settling on this gem. Thanks to the channel for reassuring.
I wasn't on a trajectory to know about King Crimson, but my high school girl friend's dad was a guitar player who loved them. They are in my top five for sure. Too bad about the copyright stuff.
Love Seiko, especially the tuna can sbbn015 I have one in my collection along with 114060 sinn UX couple of other tunas but the 015 is my best Seiko I have ever owned by far 🔥
I bought that seiko 2 weeks ago and i move it. It still fits my slender wrist perfectly, sits really comfortable, i wished they would have made the clasp a bit smaller and a bit more taper on the bracelet. The green looks stunning. Love this watch
Although this is nice I'd recommend buying the spb103j1 which is actually the closer model that would be better fitted to compare to the hulk. As it's title is named the hulk sumo afterall. I got one recently for £500.
I’ve been into micro brands as of late and just purchased the Nomadic in emerald abyss. This is by far my favorite micro brand. It’s a beautiful piece very well finished. Highly recommend.
I was looking for video of this Seiko in natural environments after finding the product shots oddly appealing - never thought I'd gravitate toward a green watch - and your footage and observations sealed the deal. Beautiful work.
I own the Seiko Land Tortoise "Hulk" and Seiko nailed the green dial and bezel. I also saw the video you made of this watch, sad that it had to be removed.
Your video a couple of weeks ago made me go out and buy this piece within 3 days of watching it. Its a great all rounder watch. Great vid again Oisin. 👏👏

Very good video! Regarding your comment about never using a diver watch bezel, I don’t dive either, but I use mine as a timer )up to an hour) In fact I probably use it a couple times every day. Now using a bezel to figure out where I am is something I probably would never use.
I would be all over that Nomadic but I can’t wear Packers colors around Chicago without getting shot. Wish the minute hand was gold, or silver even.

Awesome Video again. I do own this Land Turtle which unfortunately gets hardly any wrist time, as I do prefer bigger diamaters. But it's really looking class. Never heard of Nomadic. The one that you showed here really caught my attention. Love that dark green. Thanks for your great videos!
I would advise anyone to try the Seiko for a bigger watch it just disappears on the wrist, I find it so much more refined than the Willard and other turtles.
My beef with the Nomadic is it just looks like a San Martin (I think it might actually be one but that’s not confirmed) so you’re paying a massive premium for it to be put together in Ireland and have a different brand.
Really admire your work. Great attention to all the things that go into making a great video. It would be nice to see you do a detailed video on the brand Nomadic on a trip back to Belfast.

Great review Oisin, really liking the Nomadic though it definitely gives me black bay vibes with the wider case and thinner lug to lug. Gives it a vintage/ elegant feel instead of being a tool watch, but who actually dives with their watches these days? Lol great video bud, cheers

The hulk is the true icon and trend setter all the others are aspirational followers they will not scratch the itch for the real deal . Buy the watch if you like it not as a substitute for the original and real thing

I was offered $18K for my Hulk at the weekend. Still don't feel like selling it, I think it's one to hold on to for a while. Probably going to take the plunge and buy the Nomadic. Do you still have your Hulk Oisín?
I also saw the Montblanc 1858 which is actually quite nice and in person the dial nearly looks like a meteorite dial. About $2700 aswell 👌

@ the guy who offered me $18k for the Hulk has a good relationship with his AD. I told him to get me a ceramic Daytona and we'll do a straight swap. He has no interest in the Daytona, it will cost him less and I get the watch I've always wanted.
