SaniDry XP dehumidifier is a joke. Bought one years ago for over $1000 from Adirondack Basements and it leaked coolant from day one. Coolant recharges cost me $270. Haven't used the SaniDry for the past few years since it's so expensive to run. Lucky to get two years out of a coolant recharge and that's only using it during the summers. Stay away from SaniDry and Adirondack Basements.
Land lord had one in the basement of the place was renting. The thing was so loud from being so dry for who knows how long all it did was make noise. Then I noticed the nameplate said its pulling 6 + amps a hour! So where I am with the utility being able to charge whatever they want to make up for all the LED bulbs in use now and the funds they were losing from no more incandescent bulbs were at close to .20 a kWH! So say 20 cents per 1000 watts you use a hour now. That POS WAS our WHOLE electrical bill @ over 90 bucks a month to run the thing all the time for no reason.
What does error code 1 mean on this machine?
Which one is the best? Sedona or Xp model?
Is the compressor suppose to be hot on the Sani Dry Xp when its doing it's job on dehumidifying ?
Of course they didn't answer you.
