- If you love weddings and wedding dresses or you’re at least curious about them, then I have a series for you! I’ll be reviewing both big brands and newer brand contenders of wedding dresses. First up is David’s Bridal and I would say they had some pretty good options for my style and price range! Let me know what you think of the styles I tried in the comments below and, if you tried David’s Bridal out too, what you think about their styles, stores, and price range!

David’s Bridal is a classic choice for wedding dress shopping, but what do you think about them in 2022?
I think the quality of the dresses look cheap, sorry.
@@bluezy710 I feel like the quality is better represented in person vs my phone’s camera. I’d say they were all average quality.

I didn't like the bridesmaids dresses. But I brought my dress there. It was super pretty and super inexpensive as far as wedding dresses go.
Fot the veil, dress, corset, petticoat and alterations i have spent under 1400. Thats not bad like at all.
In the end its a dress I wear once so i didn't want to spend to much. For brides on a budget doesn't hurt to look

I worked as an assistant manager for a small bridal boutique in Portland, Oregon in the 90s. They hired me two weeks prior to declaring bankruptcy. Yikes! That meant we could not get new dresses in, and the brides were unable to get their 50% deposits back. As you know, wedding gowns take about six months, once ordered, to arrive at the store. So these poor brides had no time to shop for a gown at another store. Worse than parents threatening us (and they did!!), was brides crying over the phone.
I had a knack for choosing the right gown for the bride, so I suggested they come to the store. We worked with what was in stock. Fortunately, I was able to help the brides choose another gown. No, I am not the type of person to force someone to do anything they didn’t want to, but especially buy a gown they didn’t like.
It was certainly an interesting, and stressful experience.
Oh my goodness! That is certainly a situation I think most people would hope to avoid. I can only imagine the stress that everyone involved went through.
@@FashionDesignwithHannah we were in a mall with a drugstore across the way. We went through a lot of Kleenex, pain relievers, and Tums.
One dad threatened to come to the store with a shotgun. My manager said she would shove a sequined dress down his throat and pull it out…well, you know where. Fun times. 🤨

The service I experienced when I was shopping for my wedding dress in November of 200 was AWEFUL.
Sorry to hear that! What made it awful?
As a bridal alteration seamstress and having discussed it with many, it seems that sewing the bra cups outside the lining and next to the body is the way to go. It goes against our training, but in reality, it is often the best way to do it. 1. inserting the cups inside a lining that it was designed to fit a different size cup can cause more trouble than when you started. 2. Keeping the lining where it was attached to lace, beading, darts, etc. causes less domino unexpected, unwanted results. 3. often brides will bring various undergarments or go up and down weight so often that I often have to change their position at each and every fitting. Also not great for me or the poor cups. 4. there is something about the bride seeing the cups gets her to get her boobs in the right position. There are many women who are just not practiced in this type of formal wear and it just makes it easier on them. After altering over 100 bridal gowns, you learn which rules, although theoretically sound and even pretty, are just not cutting it in real life.

1. Understandable. You don’t quite know when a dress is being sold exactly how a customer fill out the size they start with.
2. My dress lining was completely separate from the lace and I wish it had been tacked in place so, to your point, there would be less shifting and unwanted results.
3.I can completely agree on needing to change out the sizes and how that isn’t good for the dress as well. I’ve done custom orders and this is always an issue.
4. That I can see as well! Not everyone is familiar with formal attire.

All wedding dresses cost to much !!! I just don't see going into debt for a wedding ! My wedding was a 10.00 dress a cake for 22.00 and we were married at home !

I haven’t checked into their return policy. What is it?
Most bridal stores have a zero return policy and your deposit is non refundable. So, please be aware of that when shopping
