My fiancé Christian and I got engaged in February and we are now starting to plan out wedding for 2024! I wanted to take you along with me wedding dress shopping in Los Angeles to find my dream wedding dress! If you’re new to my channel, my name is Kristen McGowan and I’m an interior design content creator! Today I’m switching it up bit and giving you a glimpse of my personal life behind the scenes as I begin my search for my wedding gown! We went to many bridal shops such as, Kinsley James, Lovella, For Love Bridal, Monique Lhuillier, and Viero Bridal! As anyone who has been married for several decades will tell you, it isn't about the wedding and the expectations of businesses that make all of their money from expensive weddings. It is all about the marriage. Best wishes to you and Christian for keeping your sanity and wonderful relationship through the chaos. And let's face it- you'd look amazing in anything. Glad you found the one, both dress and fiance.
I fully agree 😂 got married 11 years ago but cannot even watch the video of it. At that time it was most modern, beautifully made, now i look back and see myself as a little girl 😂 and the guests we invited: half of them we don’t even keep in touch with, I have no idea why we had such a big wedding, but at the time this was us, and now we are in a very different place in life. Enjoy the moment, do whatever you feel like to do, but be prepared, that life will change so quickly and all that will matter is the two of you and your bond❤

Totally agree. We got married on the beach with 23 people over 20 yrs ago. The most magical and stress free time celebrating our union. Our friends loved how intimate and beautiful it was. Best wishes.
A wedding lasts one day. A marriage is hopefully for life. I was married for 47 yrs. My dress was homemade and was everything I wanted. We had no money and friends chipped in with a party! Best wishes.
My parents were happily married until the day my Dad died of cancer. Mom married her her office suit and Dad married in his USAF uniform. They had a small party. For 45 years, they were truly happy and had only one rule - respect.
The secret of long lasting marriage nothing have to do with dresses or weddings party's,, thats why olden days people r successful in their marriage life, but nowadays its all about a party, weddings ,dresses but for few yrs of marriage 😅,,,,

25 years ago I wore a simple Vera Wang dress with a pearl chocker. The simplicity is timeless. Our photos don't look dated at all. They look classic. Anyway. Congrats on finding your dress!

Nothing like having your momma with you for this important moment! Are you on the shorter side? Like other viewers I think you look beautiful in all of them. A friend’s daughter just married wore a simple silky, satiny dress and then changed into a white jumpsuit for the reception. I loved it! I think you look awesome in an off shoulder, simple so elegant white dress but whatever you choose I’m sure you will be a breathtaking bride. Wishing you all the best as you plan your special day!

So much fun! I remember looking for my dress...it was the 1st one I tried on at a bridal show my sister and I went to! I remember she made me try on another dress just to "make sure" and we both laughed because it wasn't even necessary. Having her with me was everything, especially looking back now since I lost her in June. She was my hubby's and my biggest cheerleader. September 9th it will be 23 years and every day I am so thankful for the amazing man I married and for the people we have had in our lives. So wonderful for your Mom to fly in to help you continue the search and great to see her again in your videos since that is when I started watching when you were organising/decorating your Mom and Dad's home. Is a very exciting experience choosing wedding dress. I’m had so much fun with my daughter choosing her dress. Congratulations and so glad you have your mom with you
Bring heels with you, helps a lot. I had already bought my shoes. You will look different than in bare feet. My dress was pronovias and I bought it second hand. It was new with tags at a second hand bridal shop. The owner had bought it but decided to go with a Downton abbey look instead.

I said yes to the only one dress I tried 😂 My mum and I went to the shop I saw and it was love at first sight, tried it and said yes, the shop assistant was shocked she was like maybe you want to go around to see other design, but I didn’t I knew it was made for me. I have been married for over two years now and I am still in love with it
I ordered my dress online, tried it on and that was it. It was simple, elegant, and just gorgeous!
I tried on 3 when I thought my ex husband and I were going to have the big wedding. I knew the 2nd dress was mine. I couldn’t stop smiling when I had it on. Then I sold it after he left me

I enjoyed coming along with you. So many dresses and styles! I was married at 35 and my one requirement was that I could wear it again... which meant I went shopping for evening dresses. To this day, I still have my dress in my closet and do wear it to a fancy, appropriately dressy occasion or event. It is white with gold and form fitting. Of course, with maturation comes periods of heavier weight so the dress doesn't fit me all of the time! I am so glad you found that stunning dress and I surely want to see it on you in one of your videos!
