Sorry but I just have to disagree with most of the statements done in this video. But since title is labled things "you" wished I guess that is your opinion. It's just that most of this will not help the general community and some tips are even hurtful to consider if the player watching is a lower ranked. If you want a more indepth answer or have a discussion let me know. (6000h+ player here aswell.)

@@Dice_RL Mistakes are not equal: You talk about how you should work on main mistakes that could concede a goal. Sure, good in theory. But the context you gave around this in previous examples was using flip resets and missing open nets. You aimed this question at the lower ranks and it is easy for people to interpret this as to work on a mechanic that is difficult instead of the decision to even try and attempt it in the first place. If it was aimed at a very high rank, sure, maybe we can talk about it, but most likely it is not necessary to learn any advanced mechanics until gc2+. Shooting consistency sure is great and valuable at all ranks.
Best 5 mechanics to rank up: Powershots and flicks, great! If you want you could have told them to start with a diagonal/side/front flip. Flips do require you to dribble the ball which would be hard at lower ranks, but still good tips. Aerial, sure, a mandatory thing to learn, could’ve mentioned and showcased a fast aerial. Recovery topic, you say its a useful thing to learn but do not mention anything about it. You say practice recovering from an awkward position. No real advice. A more useful tip around recovering would probably be to try and see when you can no longer have an impact on the play and save your boost to recover faster and make sure to hit the nicely lined small mads that look like a lemon or the midlane on your way home. But hey, since it’s tips you wish you knew, guess I can’t argue on that. On the topic of Wall dashing it would have been nice if you didn’t name it wave dashing in the video to not confuse people. You only say that wall dashing is a useful mechanic at the higher rank, which could lead to that it's a useful mechanic to learn for all people. It is not a game changing mechanic, and it's very situational. You mentioned that you wish you didn’t put in time into a useless mechanic and for lower ranks, probably anything under gc1, maybe even gc2. This would be useless and most likely harmful to their gameplay. Would have been nice to highlight to not put time into this unless you are a very high rank.
Rotation: Yes rocket league is situational. But there are still very general rules you can follow. And no they do not stop working at higher rank. You never mention the bracket about rotation. I’m assuming you talk 2s since that is the gameplay running in the video. Hope you aren’t talking 3s. “You should rotate backpost if your teammate is in front of you.” “Rotate backpost if your teammate is in the net so he can go”. Sure if you are gold I can buy that statement. Anything higher, please do not. Cover what is threatening. Imagine a circle around your teammate relative to how much you think you would cover if you were in his position. Can the ball still go on net. Cover net. If not. Cover the most threatening play the enemy can do that your teammate isn’t already covering. A lot of the time that is midfield. “There is no rotating once you are last man”. Not really true. You should always try and be on the same side of the play if possible. And commit as late as possible. Usually around the goalline. Especially for lower ranks. And general positioning as a supporting player is to draw a line from the ball towards your own net. Be roughly on that line while still hitting boostpads. Unless it's a 2v1. Distance to teammate should be based on speed on ball, teammate and enemy firstman that can challenge. The faster the play is, the further away you stay, but not by turning around, by not pushing up that far in the first place.
Boost management: “To 50 the ball as first man is never a bad play”. Completely wrong. If people would learn what a fake challenge or drive challenge is. Suddenly you do not risk a slow recovery or the “oh, that was so unlucky”. The only tip you give about boost management is stop using unnecessary boost. I would say the most useful tip about boost management is to start focusing on small pads and learning where they are without having to look. Example, you are defending, ballcam on. Can you hit 3 pads without looking where you are driving? Another tip, critique your boost amount when supporting. If you have not gone for a ball and you are somehow low on boost. Check the replay, where should you have gone, how much could you have had.
Long rant. Anyhow, decent production on video, just think some stuff is wrong. More video examples would help a lot more instead of random 2s gameplay. Since the video is labeled tips you wish you knew, you are allowed to have your opinion and me mine. And some of the tips I mentioned are therefore probably not things you wish you knew. Anyhow. Goodluck!

@@burgerpower9074 It is very likely you are low rated with the tips you are attempting to give in this comment, no worries I will give a quick free coaching session.
#1- If you look at the video you'll see I used a flip reset, open nets, and missing a flip through the pitch, with the point that missing a flip will not matter near as much as missing a flip reset and giving away a free possession. the actual mechanic you do doesn't matter, it's the fact of giving away possession.
2- you don't disagree with anything I said you just think I can explain better. As far as wall dashing, it is literally a game changing mechanic that is used in RLCS now, feel free to explain how all the pros getting to the ball quicker isn't game changing
3- the general rules actually do not work at the higher ranks, the general rule is always rotate back post, rotate backpost when you're teammate is getting bumped and let me know how that goes for you!
4- it is literally never a bad play to 50 the ball as first man, that's actually the entire point of being a first man, it's on your teammate to follow that up, once again alluding that you are low ranked
5- you don't have to fake challenge ever, it's an option. coming from someone who is ssl in 1v1 every season. and there is no slow recovery because you do a single jump 50 and just wave dash back.
It seems that there isn't much you disagree with at all, you just have a difficult time understanding what im talking about which is no problem.
I hope with more gameplay and research you can become a smarter and better player! good luck!

@@Dice_RL I am a low ssl / high gc3 player with coaching experience up to 2100mmr. But sure. Try and trash me down :) I like the fact that you respond with statements and such that aren't in the video, giving a different perspective than what is taught in the video. You also failed to understand when reading that I took the perspective of an avarage rocket league player when critiquing your video. All of my research and knowledge is backed up by Appjack and Flakes. But if you wanna teach the woof woof that is up to you. But that is irrelevant. You failed to read my message and my points, clearly, based on your response. Not gonna write another essay on how you failed to comprehend. Good luck in the future. Regards.
