"Amateur Volleyball", this must have been lost in translation because these guys are very skilled!
I think amateur just means that they do it soley for fun and have no real teams involved
Pretty sure amateur just means they don't get paid or what @Yodawgbois said.
not really though, u see lots better and higher players in local gym, and the fact that these are "highlights", not every point looks like that, a game is at least 1.5 h and these are 10 mins :P Cherrypicking
lol, they are not, they are just average amateurs level. They would have problems winning any games in most amateur leagues in Poland

Slow approach is the key to a powerful spike. Also work a lot on your arm swing too
If you can put your core and shoulders into a big swing your power will increase a ton

hi I am 13 ,166 cm tall and my reach is about 300 and I am able to spike deeply and close to the net. so it depends on your height and technique
as long as you dont run into the net it happend a lot to me

Allg for high school levels but once you get to a higher level it will be really hard for a short hitter unless he/she can jump high af

seeing how fast the ball goes from a spike, how the fuck do people react to it? like theres no way you can adjust after the ball is hit, you must have to predict where its going to go to receive it, right?
Its kinda like an animal instinct after playing volleyball for awhile

Im here because i wanna get into volleyball...because of haikyuu
You really should, just a fair warning, haikyuu makes this sport look easy and it is far from easy.
what @fabs said! haikyuu really doesn't show how incredibly hard it is to get the basics right (except maybe the first episode, don't really remember), it'll take you quite some time. however, when you're good at it it's even more fun! so don't get too caught up with all the fancy back row or tempo attacks, and focus on the basics, that will make it even more rewarding when you finally get to do these attacks, possibly even in a game
