I seen your 1st video I ordered both the parts you have linked... BUT My fridge & freezer is working just not 100% I'm not sure how that's possible but if you see this PLEASE let me know what you think is wrong..... THANK YOU
@joshcobb4100 I got 1 of the parts in yesterday, but the other won't be here until Saturday, so I was going to replace both at 1 time.. IDK what's going on. Everything worked fine, but there was some ice build up at the back of the freezer. I took it off, but I did so gently. I didn't break any of the plastic inside, ever since it hasn't been cooling, right... also, in the freezer, there's a small clip. When I take it off, I can see the cooling pipes, and they are frosted over like snow is on them.. I cleaned everything in the rear, the fan is working, and the pump seems to be working... if I put ice trays in the freezer, they will freeze, but meat & everything else doesn't.. the fridge isn't brand new but I bought it maybe 4yrs ago now!! Is there anything I can do to tell if it's a freon leak? Or any advice?
@natasunknow240 yes, excellent job checking that out! if you go to the back of your fridge down where the compressor is there will be a tube that allows water to drain out from the freezer. So you wanna make sure from the top at the freezer all the way down to that tube there’s no clogs or buildups. If it’s clogged up the water that’s supposed to drain out will build up and freeze to the coils. however, if this is clear and water flows through it freely, then what you’re describing would indicate a Freon leak. Or low Freon.
@joshcobb4100 ok, thank you. When I get the parts, I'll install everything and check the drain line out... Should I let the freezer defrost completely? To fix the blockage problem? If there is 1 of course... I saw someone on your other video say they had a problem with a freon leak, and it made the fridge smell weird. I personally haven't smelled anything, but when I unplug it to swap the parts out, I'll check that also... It would be my luck that I have a freon leak I literally just spent $800 finding and fixing a freon leak in my truck!! SMH, this economy isn't good enough to have these problems.. Again, thank you for taking the time to talk with me. I really do appreciate it....
@natasunknow240 yes it would be best to let it defrost completely. Also, the smell is associated with the fridge warming up and just smelling bad, Freon doesn’t have a smell. At least R12 and R134 don’t.
Sold!? 😂 I thought it was gonna replace your shop fridge 😂
Sold the shop too 😉

If you replace the parts and it’s working, just not working well enough, and the coils are clean underneath, you might have a Freon leak issue.
