    • @WatchRayPlay
      @WatchRayPlay 2 роки тому +8

      @@daviclar867 Meaning you have to listen to every time he plays one if you want to hear extra special licks. There is also a library of little familiar licks and tricks he brings out in different songs, borderline repetitive when you zoom out, but as a guitar player myself, I understand that sometimes you're just connecting licks and riffs together

    Whether you like him or not he is a pioneer of shred guitar. The guitar world can be divided into BY - Before Yngwie and AY - After Yngwie. He revolutionized rock guitar and brought it out of the blues straight jacket it was in. Along with Jimi and Holdsworth he created the template by which all.others followed. I remember buying Rising Force in 1984 and being in awe of this neo classical approach to rock. No one else was doing it so completely like him. Now every guitarist out there is doing it. It's almost lost its meaning. That's why I go back to the pioneers.

    Yngwie is one who can make me shut up and listen with an acoustic guitar, if ya know what I mean. I wonder why no stage lighting? That annoying-to-breathe stage fog is only useful coupled with lighting effects, otherwise it's just air pollution. He had to move around to find a sweet spot for the look-at-the-watch feedback sustain in that gymnasium sounding room. I don't know if this was just an opener, but after 40 plus years Yngwie still has the musicianship, skill and delivery to strike fear in any guitar player who must follow his act.

    One thing I've noticed; that the past 20 to 30 years a lot of people have turned music instead of a pleasure into a competition.
    With that being said as a musician myself friendly competition is good as far as your skills on your instrument the the competition I'm speaking of is people back and forth all the time. " well so and so is better than so and so" or "so and so sucks and so is the greatest" we all have different tastes which in my opinion makes music so great every guitarist drummer musicians bring something different to the table in all music. If everybody played the same as one person, talk about boring which brings me to my point some of the comments here about Yngwie who by the way whether you like it or not is a very talented virtuoso so comments like Guthrie govern or Shaw Lane might have something to say about it, or this s*** is boring he doesn't have any songs to back up as playing are some really ignorant comments Yngwie has been at this a lot longer than most of you have been alive and he is sold many albums also sold out many venues around the world. And this constant crap about shredding oh my God instead of focusing on nothing but fretboard gymnastics how about learning how to write a song. Doesn't anybody understand the definition of shredding is to destroy? Which brings me to my point Yngwie is a true musician he didn't start playing the guitar by going online and having thousands of people show him how to shred and focus on nothing but that. A great example of what I'm trying to get across here before you make ignorant comments if you don't like what a person is doing don't listen to it or don't go to their concert it's that simple if you don't like Yingwie
    Listen to Billie eilish 😂😂😂

    Yngwie, Joe Satrianni, Zak Wyld, Steve Vai and Jason Newstead on bass with Orianthi or even Nita Strauss, with Tommy Lee on drums or Matt Sorum.
