He maintained a friendship with Harry and William even after the split, both families have been intertwined for over a century, King Charles is his godfather, he is godfather to Charlotte as well, his father was godfather to William and possibly Harry as well (or might have been Charles, can't remember now) and the main reason they aren't invited - publicly stated - was that the day was all about the bride and Meghan would have made it all about her. Put simply in his eyes his bride is more important than Meghan, plus there will be no media allowed (he hates the media with a passion) and Meghan would try to insist on Netflix or some other magazine taking photos or bringing in her cameraphone to take images she could sell and he simply doesn't want the hassle this would cause.
No doubt that IF they had been invited (which they were not), they’d have also had recording devices taped to their bodies….who NEEDS that kind of intrusion at their wedding. ?….

Actually I think the apologies were beneficial. They show that Clarkson can be magnanimous and at the same time shining a spotlight on the narc behavior. No apology would be good enough. She wanted his head. Now he has another top show and the world sees how spiteful she is.

Sussexes claimed they received a “Save the Date” for the friend’s wedding. In the UK this is something that is very rarely if ever done, only Wedding Invites are sent. Therefore it almost certain that they were not invited.
I am sure High Society weddings are planned at least a year ahead...and family and friends would already have invites...I remember last year William and Catherine mention their friends wedding

1. Invited to the wedding: You are correct, Harry and meghan were not invited. The Groom felt that there would be too much drama around H&M and HE wants the focus on his new bride and himself, not drama queen and hazbeen. Plus, The Groom is pro royal family, which does not include the deluded prince and his sociopath wife.
2. Friend: Harry isn't much of a friend....only when he is the focus of all attention and you are doing things for HIM and fully supporting HIM and any lame brain idea HE has are you considered a "friend" to him. In other words, you have to agree with everything he says and does or you are out. Also, there is this THING H&M do. They pass you in an airport and you nod your head, maybe smile at them, keep on walking...then within hours, there is an article that they ran into their great BFF at the airport and had a wonderful friends reunion and are going to be getting together soon for this and that (and in reality, you've never met, don't know each other, and did not even speak). Does anyone really think Beyonce is friends with H&M? Oprah? Tyler Perry? Do Oprah and Tyler Perry invite them to their get togethers . parties, events? No....because they aren't friends, they are people they met and might have had a few conversations with. I do not think either know what a real friend is.

I'm not sure I believe that Hugh Grosvenor (the D of Westminster) is actually one of Archie's godparents. At the time of Archie's christening, H&M refused to say who the godparents were, and when the list eventually dribbled out, Hugh wasn't on it. As far as I know, he was first publicly named as Archie's godfather when the row about H's invite to Hugh's wedding erupted last December. And it was in the context, of course, of Hugh being spoken of as George's godfather. Shades, to me, of H&M doing a spot of freelance equalisation, on the basis that Hugh is hardly going to call them straight up liars, and turn his own wedding preparations into a complete farce. It's in line with H&M telling outrageous lies and defying anyone to call them out. The van Cutsems rented Anmer Hall (now William and Catherine's Suffolk home) on the Sandringham Estate when Charles and Diana were together, hence the friendship between the 4 van Cutsem boys and William and H, who were all at school together. Hugh Grosvenor's elder sister Tamara is married to Edward van Cutsem, Hugh van Cutsem's elder brother, so the family and social links between all of these people and the RF are very strong. There is no way they would side with a renegade like H against William and the King, and he has made it impossible for them to remain neutral and civilised, which of course they would prefer. Every single one of the 500 guests at the Westminster wedding would be made to feel intensely uncomfortable if H&M were there, so of course he was never going to be invited, with or without M.
